Worry comes from the Greek word: Anisychia which means “To divide the mind”. Double-Mindedness is when your thoughts are split between worthwhile and damaging thoughts. The Bible says that a double minded man is unstable in ALL his ways. There are many who believe in God’s existence, but doubt His sufficiency and sovereignty.
More than one out of every four people in the US struggle with anxiety. How can we change this? Scientifically and biblically proven, we can do so by exercising gratitude. To express gratitude is to share in the divine nature of God.
We can walk closer with the Holy Spirit than we could with Jesus. We do this by entering into communion with the Holy Spirit. He is a person! He desires to have an intimate relationship with you. Don’t seek more of the Spirit, rather seek how you can give more of yourself to Him.

We must learn to say “no” in order to grow. Dying to self over and over again in order to walk in humility. Abraham Heschel said it well: “Self-respect is the root of discipline. The sense of dignity grows with the ability to say no to oneself.”
Humility isn’t thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less. God is able to work through us as we submit to Him and surrender our pride. We must go low in order to grow.
The Bible says that each of us has been given a gift. It is inside of us. We must not neglect it, but allow God to excavate it from within us. He’s given us talents and abilities to glorify Him! Today we dive into discovering your gift.

Peace is a person, and His name is Jesus. Amidst what can be a busy time for most, and also a difficult time of year for some, we must remember where our peace comes from. It isn’t found in a job, a promotion, or a relationship. Peace is found in God alone.
Tertullian once said, “The closer one comes to God the more joy is experienced. Joy based not on circumstances or passion emotion, but the joy of the Lord that comes from knowing Him.” He was right. Joy is not a temporary emotion, but living in the awareness of God’s goodness, faithfulness, and redemptive power.
God is always at work behind the scenes in ways that we cannot see. It’s easy at times to get discouraged in seasons of waiting, but we must exercise patience. Romans 8:25 says that we must wait patiently and confidently for those things that we are looking forward to.
Thanksgiving identifies God’s sovereignty and faithfulness in our lives. It realigns our heart to trust Him. It’s so much more than one day of the year in November. Thanksgiving is the anecdote of discontentment, depression, anxiety, and every other ugly thing under the sun.
Self awareness is important, but today we are talking about what it means to have a Godly awareness. In order for us to achieve goals that we have set, we first must recognize what may be holding us back. When we are in tune with what God has for us, our life will flourish.
Owen Carr said, “A day without prayer is a boast against God.” As believers we must be in prayer daily, not only to strengthen ourselves but it is important that we pray for others as well. When we find ourselves in the storms and trials of life, we must remember that we are not alone. God will lead us through each hardship we face. Sarcasm. The Bible says that there is the power of life and death in the tongue. This means that there are both positive and negative consequences that we can reap. Sarcasm can plague unity.
Beginning new relationships can be uncomfortable and hard. But once there are common interests found, a friendship is born. A clique is defined as, “a small group of people who spend their time together and do not welcome other people into that group.” James clearly states that we must not show favoritism, this applies more so even inside of the church! Tearing someone down will never give you a step up in life. Proverbs 16:28 says that “gossip separates the best of friends.” It is a serious matter, and one that often gets dismissed in the church.
