We want to trust that God is faithful and cares for us, but how do we deal with it when we ask for something and God doesn't say yes? Join us as we wrestle with Jesus's words found in John 14:13-14: "And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."

When the COVID pandemic was first spiking, I saw a lot of pictures making this connection: COVID19- Christ Over Viruses & Infection Diseases, Joshua 1:9. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” The concern I have with connecting this verse to this issue is that it becomes all about us instead of all about God. Regardless of our position with anything surrounding the pandemic, this verse is more than just validation for our feelings. So today, let’s dig deeper into the meaning Joshua 1:9 has for our lives as we enjoy another energy shot for the soul. Resources: Verse Cards - The Daily Grace Co. Children's Devotional

I was interning at a drop-in center for homeless youths. Most of them were addicted to one substance or another and were regularly high. Few had completed school to a significant level. And all had experienced more trauma in the past week than I had in my whole life time. And I was charged to communicate a biblical truth that would inspire and encourage these young souls, which is when I opened my Bible to Jeremiah 29:11: 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Join us to discover what Jeremiah 29:11 means for us today.  "I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "They are plans for good, not for evil, to give you a hope and future." Resources: https://thedailygraceco.com/collections/journals/products/in-everything-journal
