What is going on! 

I have been absent from quite sometime. I have been focusing on creating content, and looking for new opportunities to start my career as a musician. Being that said, I have exiting news! Crazy to think that last episode I did an interview with Eric Jayk of Wildstreet, and on this following episode my journey with Eric and Wildstreet would continue in a way that I did not expect. 

Wildstreet's band members left the band in the middle of The Kings Of The World Tour 2022. Therefore lead singer, Eric Jayk started to look for new musicians to join the band. I took this opportunity to audition, and nevertheless I am not just finishing the Kings of the world tour with Wildstreet, but I am now Wildstreet's official lead guitar player. Welcome to the haven of rock podcast, we got a great episode! Today we have an up and coming hair metal band from Harrisburg South Dakota and they are the Down boys.

What I like about this band is that they’re young! These guys are on high school. For a band that is playing hair metal and from high school... That's pretty badass. When I was in High School I was the only rocker guy who was into the bands that these guys were into. I was the only one with long hair up to my chest, Motley Crue and Poison T-shirts, tight pants and leather jackets. None of the kids listened to what I listened to. That just goes to show how specific this genre is, which is why I love that there are younger bands starting to carry the torch of Rock n' Roll. It's one thing to be a fan of the music, but for you to play it live, then you have love it, capture the audience and own your craftsmanship and that is exactly what these guys do!

So much of us end up creating pieces that we love, and we become attached to them. Being attached to our work creates a scarcity mindset allowing us to think that we are not going to make another piece as good as the last one. The same can be said to a piece of work that we didn't like. The fact that we made something that we didn't like does not make us bad artists. It is just a stepping stone.
