The Gospels are 4 biographies of the most accomplished human ever to live, so if you would like to know how to live better and get more done…stay tuned for this series.
The Good News of Jesus as Savior/Deliverer is but an intro, the 1st Act in God’s redemption plan. Much like the Hebrews rejoiced when Moses rose p to lead them out of Egypt…the journey had only just begun, the Promise Land had giants, a wilderness bordered that great land and after being delivered, there was no need for food, water, worship, and all the usual provisions. Thus, Jesus as deliverer is Act 1 of a many-act drama.
We have all heard it said that Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and in many ways that is true, in other ways and for some people perhaps its not.
One thing for sure is if anytime of the year, we have all looked forward to Christmas at some point in our lives to fulfill that longing we all have inside to be truly and completely satisfied. To find rest for our souls and contentment in this life.
You cannot be and NEVER will be “Completely Satisfied” (longterm) in this present broken world.

God is not interested in a physical structure …but rather He desires “A PLACE” of meeting.
The Holy Ghost (Spirit) is often misunderstood or misrepresented in our theology, so all this month we have looked at different aspects and operations of The Spirit.
One of the most misunderstood and under emphasized parts of Christian theology is the “role” or “relationship” of the Spirit of God within the Godhead,Trinity, Tri-part Unity of God as Father-Son-Holy Ghost.
Here is the awesome thing about the power of the Holy Spirit, He needs you to be nothing more than willing.
One of the most misunderstood and under emphasized parts of Christian theology is the “role” or “relationship” of the Spirit of God within the Godhead,Trinity, Tri-part Unity of God as Father-Son-Holy Ghost. In this series I will challenge all of us to stop thinking of only the “mysterious” side of Holy Spirit and to realize that as a believer in Jesus you are already well acquainted with The Ghost. You know Him, but He knows you more!
One of the most misunderstood and under emphasized parts of Christian theology is the “role” or “relationship” of the Spirit of God within the Godhead,Trinity, Tri-part Unity of God as Father-Son-Holy Ghost. The ancient Hebrews said it best that God is ONE (Shema) but we also know that God has 3 dynamic parts. How can 3 be one? In many ways it is a great mystery, we try to grasp this concept best we can in our finite understanding: Water – liquid, solid, vapor, Egg- yolk, white, shell, Mankind – Spirit, Soul, Body or …Son, Husband, Father.
The Jews so longed to be in the presence of God that they traveled with expectancy to the place where He dwelt physically on the earth. We have the ability to encounter God in this room today but wont get out of our seats to meet Him.
True life is not found in pleasure or possessions, it is being alive in God, the abundant, eternal life that Jesus promised those who follow Him!
The book of Psalms in O.T. is a collection of songs, poems and prayers…together they are referred to as the prayer book & hymn book of Jesus. He and His disciples would have known many of them by heart. Much like you and I know popular songs verse for verse…we simply memorized them through repetition.

Much like you and I know popular songs verse for verse…we simply memorized them through repetition. Songs of pilgrimage as worshippers would make their annual trips UP to the city of Jerusalem to celebrate festivals.
Each song is like a prayer that evokes the experience of being far from home & beset by barbarians. Then it ends with a call to praise God.
Pastor Tim Throckmorton from the Family Research Council Shares a timely message for NFCs 15 year anniversary.
When life’s storms surround you, it is easy to focus on the storm. Maybe right now? At home or work with friends, at the church. The great temptation is to worry about the storm causing your fears to grow and you take your eyes off Jesus.
We all have our own set of weaknesses & gifts to carry. But a burden we need help with.
In one sense you have the freedom to do whatever you want…at least for a brief time, until “consequences” set in.
Left unchecked your freedom can actually lead to bondage. You’re free to sit on the couch and eat junk food all day but eventually, it will lead to the bondage of obesity, bad cholesterol, high blood pressure, and even death.
Real Freedom means you will have to go against the stream of popular opinion sometimes and stand on conviction instead of convenience.
Have you ever felt like God is punishing you through events in your life? Get down and out, feel sorry for yourself?
Pastor Noah talks about how the Father not only longs to see his son/ daughters come home but he is seeking after you!
Have you been wrestling with something that you just can’t seem to conquer? Do you need restoration in some area of your life? Jesus offers hope and in Him, you will find help!
The Bible is full of stories of people just like us who had an unexpected experience that changed their lives and charted a new course for entire generations. But there are only a few examples of a “face to face” meeting with God. Today and next week we will explore what it means to wrestle with God…to encounter God face to face.
God created the entire universe because he wanted a family. That family is called the church. You have been called to belong.
Today we deal with the fifth D to be overcome in order to know your true I.D. in the Kingdom of God. Division – separation resulting in tension or hostility
Today we celebrate a tradition that started (in the United States) in 1908, when a woman named Anna Jarvis suggested that her Philadelphia church hold a special service to honor mothers. The tradition soon spread, and in 1914 president Woodrow Wilson declared the second Sunday in May to be Mother’s Day throughout the United States.
Staying focused on the important things takes effort to overcome distraction. But know this, the day we die, it won’t matter what kind of (car, house, bank account, or accomplishments in this life) What matters: “Did you develop good relationships, make a difference in the lives of others, your spouse/kids/family who know you best respect you the most… AND hear, “Well Done, good & faithful servant” Are you distracted?
You are loved, valuable, accepted, good enough. Discouragement can’t stay when you allow the Truth in.
The enemy is a master at injecting doubt. He knows if he can get you to doubt God enough then you will lose trust in God and buy his lies. The great scammer wants your identity.
Today we begin a new series on our Identity in Christ called “The Garden” based on a short story by author Jon Gordon.
So much of life is about how we get from where we are to where we desire to be. We are on a continuous journey crossing from one station in life to another. It never really stops, there always seem to be another chapter or twist a long as we live. And the way we get from here to there is by using some kind of “bridge". Jesus is our bridge to “Hope”.

Our habits have a way of defining who we are, and the progress we can make. If we have profitable habits that align with God's will, we will prosper on the road He has called us to. If we have bad habits, it can leave us stuck. In this final message of the series, the struggle of life habits and disciplines are discussed.
Our thought lives are important because everything that starts as a thought can eventually evolve into an action. What you set your mind to, what you have your heart set on, is important. Setting them in the right direction can be powerful and lead to great change, because of the interactions we have with other people, and allowing God to do great things in and through us.
The way we think, speak, and act are significant. They can mean a world of difference to our own lives, and those around us: in either a positive or negative way. If we learn to think, speak, and act in ways that give life and encourage- it can cause a ripple effect that can lead to catastrophic change.
