"Liceulice FM je radio emisija koja se već osam godina emituje na online radio stanici RadioAparat. Emisija se bavi onim temama kojima se bavi i magazin Liceulice, a to su, pre svega, antidiskriminacija, zelene politike i teme koje možemo podvesti pod široki krovni izraz „teme od javnog interesa“ u kojima se bavimo od prava na obrazovanje i široko dostupnog zdravstva preko angažovane umetnosti i kulturnih politika do javnog dijaloga i kulture sećanja.
U epizodi emisije Liceulice FM koja je realizovana u saradnji sa forumZFD-om razgovarali smo o angažmanu na filmu, te kako se kroz ovu umetnost mogu otvoriti neuralgične tačke naše nedavne istorije. Organizovani 'zaborav' i selektivno 'pamćenje' koji sve prožimaju naše društvo, naravno, ostavili su svoj uticaj i na filmske stvaraoce, ali i dalje ima onih koji svojim delima prkose dominantnim društvenim narativima. O takvim filmovima smo razgovarali sa Ivanom Matijević, urednicom kulture u dnevnom listu 'Danas' i Pavlom Simjanovićem, filmskim kritičarem u istim novinama."

Within the framework of the 23rd edition of Balkan Perspectives Latif Mustafa is interviewing Shkëlzen Maliqi about art, culture, and dealing with the past. In the 1990s, when Kosovo society started to organize its life in parallel way, just as it was organized like that in many social spheres, it was likewise unavoidable for art and culture to be thus organized within their realm. The interview puts a critical eye on several events from the 1980s, 1990s to date with some perspectives, either historical, critical, or paradigmatic.

The seventh edition of the Balkan Perspectives podcast of forumZFD in Kosovo tackles gender perspectives and dealing with the past in Kosovo. In this edition journalist Serbeze Haxhiaj discusses with Lura Limani and Aulonë Kadriu journalists and civil society and human rights activists.
In this conversation Lura Limani and Aulonë Kadriu elaborate the key questions at the moment about gender movements in Kosovo and their role in shaping women activism in the critical times of Kosovo resistance and its fight for liberty.
They also pointed out the gendered impacts of armed conflict and how it carved the war narrative and gender perspective. By explaining the trajectory of past and current social movements on gender and feminism they presented a picture of women's role plagued by denial and elusion.

As such, it aims to also provide the context of the 1990s, therefore providing exhibitions and reinterpreting, among others, the rise of nationalism and the death of Yugoslavia. Why is this work important, difficult and rewarding at the same time, tells Ana Panic, the curator of the Museum.

(ENG) This podcast revolves around the question whether the Kosovo museum have the potential that in addition to transferring memory, to challenge how that memory has been shaped and to contribute so that memory includes the ones in the margins, with special focus on women? Instead of replicating a similar and uniform approach, can the museums bring something different which at the same time would attract more visitors there, and present new forms of remembering and dealing with the past?
Nora Prekazi, who worked for over 10 years at the Muzeum of Mitrovica reflects on her understanding of museums and museology, of structural challenges that museums in Kosovo face, and above all, of examples of initiatives through which she and her team have managed to put on the spotlight new and more inclusive stories.

Lulzim Peci, the executive director of the Kosovo Institute for Policy Research and Development unravels the impact of the Ukraine war in Kosovo and in the Balkans. As Russia’s war in Ukraine drags into its fifth month, Peci pointed out how a deep sense of unease has settled across Kosovo and Balkans in general and contributed to a paradigm shift in the region's security and political status.
While the war in Ukraine has raised news question marks about the future of the Euro-Atlantic integration of the region, Peci elucidated that the war in Ukraine will not accelerate integration in EU and NATO political and security structures.

In this edition, Labinot Greiçevci, professor and author of the book „The EU as a State-builder in International Affairs: The Case of Kosovo“, explains the role of the EU in the process of international state-building in Kosovo, shadowy perspective of integration and the effects of its initiative to develop transitional justice mechanisms. During the talk, Mr Greiçevci underlined that the EU should ask each government to set out how they plan to provide justice and restitution for past crimes.
The 18th edition of the "Balkan Perspectives” podcast of forumZFD in North Macedonia tackles the role of the EU in integration and dealing with the past.
In this episode, the guest speaker Ognen Vangelov discusses the current dispute between Bulgaria and North Macedonia. In 2017, the Agreement between North Macedonia and Bulgaria was reached, unlocking the frozen relations between the countries. Initially it was success, but in 2019 the Bulgarian Government announced that they will block the further negotiations due to unresolved and unimplemented policies. Soon after, the dispute got other dimensions besides the historic; language, identity and the ethnic origin of the Macedonian population was disputed. Currently, the talks are in gridlock and no solution has been found. In this podcast you can hear more about the issue and the possible outcomes that can happen in the near future.

The second edition of the Balkan Perspectives podcast of forumZFD in Kosovo tackles the context architecture, public spaces,and memorialization practices. In this edition Serbeze Haxhiaj discusses with Bekim Ramku. Bekim is architect, urban designer, and director of the Kosovo Architecture Festival.
In this conversation Bekim Ramku elaborates on the challenges of architecture,urban transformation, and city development in Kosovo in the aftermath of its violent past and how various periods and forms of commemoration are reflected in the silhouettes of Kosovo urban spaces. He points out that the most recent attempts to create spaces for memorialisation in public space in Kosovo is a continuation of architectural practices seen in previous decades and periods and thereby hinders the possibilities of new forms of commemoration. He emphasizes the need to prevent a planning vacuum currently prevailing in Kosovo cities and to establish a vision for the current transitional period and establish examples of collective memory throughout the country.

In this crucial process for the future of the region, national stakeholders show a lack of commitment to truly engage with the legacies of the past.
Transitional justice processes have produced few results not only in Kosovo but in other former Yugoslavia territories, in general, where nationalism, ethnic divisions, and hatred remain deeply rooted. In the meantime, people especially victims are waiting for justice and struggling to move on. Marigona Shabiu pointed out that there is no denying the fact that this region confronts increasing tensions while many still ask if the new generation will be able to come to terms with a painful past and allow it defines the future?
