Dr. Mark Rutland is the Founder and Executive Director of the National Institute of Christian Leadership. He is a New York Times Best Selling author, educator, charismatic leader, businessman and a nationally recognized figure in Christian higher education. He served as the President of two prominent Christian universities from 1999 to 2013. Additionally, Dr. Rutland has served as Senior Pastor of Calvary Assembly of God in Orlando, Florida; and as an Associate Pastor at Mount Paran Church of God in Atlanta, Georgia.
He is also the Founder of Global Servants, a ministry in Ghana and Thailand. In 1988, Global Servants opened House of Grace. Located in Northern Thailand, House of Grace is a home for tribal girls at risk of being sold into sexual slavery. Dr. Rutland is the author of more than sixteen books including a New York Times Bestseller, ReLaunch. His other books include: Launch Out into the Deep, The Finger of God, Hanging by a Thread, Behind the Glittering Mask, Streams of Mercy, God of the Valleys, Nevertheless, Dream, Character Matters, Power, Holiness, Resurrection, Most Likely to Succeed, and David the Great. CHURCH is so much MORE THAN A SUNDAY THING. An ENCOUNTER with JESUS will cause you to SHARE His LOVE & HOPE with the WORLD!
THE BIG IDEA: GOD’S greatest GIFT to you is GRACE… And YOUR greatest GIFT to others is FORGIVENESS!
THE BIG IDEA: If The Avenue Church will REBUILD the GATES… We’ll EXPERIENCE MIRACLES and PEOPLE will come to ENCOUNTER the POWER & the PRESENCE of GOD!
THE BIG IDEA: NEVER back down to HELL fighting AGAINST you… When you have all of HEAVEN fighting FOR you! GOD’S WORD GUARANTEES YOU VICTORY!
THE BIG IDEA: If we will SHUT THE DOOR to SIN and LIVE our lives according to HIS WORD… There is NO LIMIT to what God will do in OUR LIVES and at THE AVENUE CHURCH!
If we want the POWER of God that’s AVAILABLE to us… We must get the WORD of God to become ALIVE in us!
THE BIG IDEA: If the CHURCH will provide a PLACE for people to DISCONNECT from SIN and CONNECT with GOD… REVIVAL will take place and the WORLD will COME to EXPERIENCE God’s GRACE!
Because THIS IS THE PLACE where God wants to show up and change people’s lives!
THE BIG IDEA: When you’ve BEEN THROUGH a VALLEY… COMPASSION will drive you to LOVE OTHERS!
Could it be that the reason why you’re out of your valley… is to help someone who’s having a hard time in one?
We’ve got to come together in UNITY! And rebuild The Valley Gate… and truly care for one another!
THE BIG IDEA: Even though we will ALWAYS use NEW METHODS... We must NEVER stray from the ORIGINAL MESSAGE... Or we will be WORTHLESS... and POWERLESS!
The Avenue will always be RETRO! Because it’s the OLD MESSAGE that leads to the NEW LIFE!
THE BIG IDEA: The Avenue Church is rebuilding the FISH GATE… So that SINNERS will always have a PLACE to find the LOVE and HOPE of JESUS!
At The Avenue… we’re all about the FISH GATE!
THE BIG IDEA: If the CHURCH will GET IN THEIR GATES… The WORLD will COME and we will be AVAILABLE to LEAD them to JESUS!
