The Spoken Verity podcast, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, offers an insightful look at life experiences as well as current and cultural issues through the lens of God’s Word.
There are several principles that followers of Jesus Christ can learn in the Scriptures, and the concept of waiting on God is one principle that is crucial for spiritual growth. It is so essential that in several passages in the Bible, we are mandated to wait on the Lord. In the continuation of His teaching mission through the hosts of your favorite podcast, Holy Spirit presented this topic for discussion in this last verse of our 3rd Chapter.
Feelings and emotions. 71 episodes in, our God decided to have the hosts of your favorite podcast share an end-time message on “The Feeling of our Infirmities”. Although feelings and emotions are a part of our natural makeup as human beings, they must be brought in line with the Word of God. We, as believers in Jesus Christ, will know where we are here by listening to what we say and how we respond with our actions toward people.
A proper Biblical understanding of this subject is vital for followers of Jesus Christ because it is intricately tied to their identity and authority in this fallen world. It is crucial to seek the Verity found in the Word of God concerning this topic rather than its interpretation in the culture, which may be referring to another kingdom and not that of our sovereign God.
Resting in God should be a static posture for the true believer in Jesus Christ. The 69th contemplation of your favorite Podcast unpacked this peaceful distinction that is proprietary only to the faithful in Christ Jesus. Resting in God, specifically in the finished saving work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, allows for believers to fulfill God’s pre-determined mandate for them in His earth. Friends, this is done by faith.
Jesus Christ, our risen Lord and Savior, taught us how to love God in Matthew 22 v 37–we are to love God with our whole being, and He proclaimed it the first and greatest commandment, but can love be commanded? In a follow-up statement in verse 39 of that same Chapter, these are the recorded words of Jesus Christ, “And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” So, what does it mean to love God? Is it a feeling or a decision? What is the relationship between loving God and loving our neighbor?
In the latest release of your favorite Podcast, Sozo and The Reverend opened the “Of God” series with the message titled “The Fear of God”. This end-time impartation was a call to repentance for all who name the name of Christ. The Church and the Family do not function as purposed when believers in Jesus Christ do not fear God. In certain respects, those institutions look and sound like the world when the world should be looking at the church and the Godly family as their examples.
Followers of Jesus Christ are on a mission mandated by our risen Lord and Savior to go into the world and fulfill His kingdom agenda. This Verity can be found in Mark 16 v 15-18 and Matthew 28 v 19 - 20. But, in John 17 v 16, He also says, “They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.”
During the 65th release of your favorite Podcast, Sozo and The Reverend went in on the tongue, with the conversation titled “The Tongue-What are you speaking over your life”? Their bold look at this unruly member, filtered through the Word of God as directed by His Spirit, provided fresh revelation to its hearers and allowed for its use for any believer in their continued conforming process to the image of Jesus Christ. Obeying the voice of the Spirit of God is the foundation for the hosts of The Spoken Verity Podcast, and the Spirit was moving and speaking during this week's communion.
In continuation of our Holy Spirit-orchestrated series on the salvation of the spirit, soul, and body, the focus of this episode was on the metamorphosis of a Christian, with the foundational verse found in Romans 12 verse 2, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
“The Saving of our Soul” is an introspective view of one of the three parts of our whole being. This inward look into one of those parts, our souls, was the central posture in Episode 63 of your favorite Podcast. Sozo and the Reverend were not aware of Holy Spirit's leading of them to take turns, if you will, in leading a message on salvation of our whole beings, Spirit, Soul, and Body, but they obeyed the voice of the Spirit with joy during today's communion.
Am I really saved? Despite all I’ve done in my past, am I going to become a new person just like that? So all my sins are forgiven simply by believing and receiving Christ as my Lord and Savior? What about this thing I said yesterday or that thing I did the other day? How can I know for sure that I’m saved?
TSV family! These seeds of doubt come from the one described as the accuser of our brethren in Revelation 12:10–Satan, the enemy of our souls.
The final session, part 3, of “The Truth About Gender and Sexuality,” culminated our Holy Spirit-inspired end-time message on these unchangeable, sovereign declarations chosen by our Sovereign God for humanity. To reiterate, we started this series in Episode 57, where we re-presented the Truth from the Word of God by unequivocally stating that there are only two Genders as pre-determined by our Sovereign God, Male and Female.
First, you submit to the authority of our sovereign God, then He impacts His wisdom on you, and finally, you become generous, just like Him. In this final episode of the series, our conversation was centered on Generosity. One of the intrinsic attributes of our sovereign God is His generosity; we see it on display every day before our eyes—the lavishness and abundance of His creation, but nowhere else can we truly look to see His generosity than in His Son, whom He gave as a sacrifice for our sins.
“The Truth About Gender and Sexuality” Part 2 delved into the minutia, if you will, for building the proper framework to teach and then model the Truth about gender and sexuality in the familial home. We started this in Episode 57 where we re-presented the Truth from the Word of God by unequivocally stating that there are only two Genders as pre-determined by our Sovereign God, Male and Female.
In our continuation of this series primarily focused on followers of Jesus Christ, the conversation during this episode examined another key to living a Christ-centered life, wisdom.
Brothers and Sisters in Christ, the 57th chapter of your favorite podcast, opened a 3- part series titled “The Truth About Gender and Sexuality.” For the first session, we re-presented the Truth from the Word of God by unequivocally stating that there are only two Genders as pre-determined by our Sovereign God, Male and Female.
Since the fall in the garden of Eden, as detailed in Genesis 3, mankind has been rebellious to God’s authority—disobedient and constantly seeking to be independent. Hallelujah! Christ has redeemed us through His perfect sacrifice on the Cross, but how do we live a Christ-centered life?
The latest chapter of your favorite Podcast brought the conversation to Pre-destination, more particularly “The Sovereignty of Pre-Destination”. The discussion topics and questions in this episode allowed our global audience a look at God's heart, through Holy Spirit, concerning His elect. Our God extends Grace to all who call on the name of the Lord (Romans 10:13). The very next verse, 14, enlightens you as to why this occurs.
No other entity is more important than the Church in regard to advancing God's kingdom agenda on the earth. It is the body of Christ that was given heavenly authority in Matthew 16 v 19 to act as God's representative agency on earth.
Our 53rd release of your favorite Podcast, as directed by Holy Spirit, unpacked a needed end time conversation for the body of Christ. “His Gifts, His Presence, His Will”, brought to light the vitality of their interconnectedness as directed and pre- determined for our lives by our Sovereign God.
In the final words of Jesus Christ, as recorded in the Gospel of Matthew, and commonly referred to as the Great Commission, He gives “marching orders” to His Church, to go make disciples.
TSV family, our 51st engagement with you during the latest chapter of your favorite Podcast explored, as directed by Holy Spirit, the difference with having a religious relationship with our God, based upon the Law and a relationship with our God rooted in Grace.
The grace of our sovereign God is not only foundational to the Gospel of Christ, but it is one of the most astounding and life- transforming aspects of His character.
As we opened Season 3, during the 49th chapter of your favorite Podcast, your hosts conducted another end time conversation, with this one centered on Truth, Lies and Deception. The enemy of our souls attempts to blind us to truth that is the Word of God. He uses all means at his disposal, including the media, governments, and even the “church”.
As we wrap up the second season of your favorite podcast, we want to thank you–our faithful listeners and those who recently became a part of The Spoken Verity family. Thank you for your continued support and, most importantly, your fervent prayers.
Chapter 47 was another end-time message presented by the Hosts of your favorite Podcast, by the direction of Holy Spirit. Sin, transgression, and Iniquity was the topic of discussion for the TSV community. When having any dialogue concerning Sin, transgression, and Iniquity, you must understand, TSV family, that Jesus has already delivered us from this.
Our 360-degree look at Biblical manhood has been building up to this vital point. First, the kickoff in Episode 42 was focused on his fundamental role as “The Man,” then in Episode 44, his duty and responsibility as “The Husband.” Now finally, we have landed on what could be considered one of the most crucial offices he will hold, “The Father.”
Our 45th communion was another end time message presented by the Hosts of your favorite Podcast, by direction of Holy Spirit. The Power of Praise, Worship and Thanksgiving to and for our God was the topic of discussion for the TSV community. Our God is seeking true worshipers in these last days, which mirrors the days of Noah.
“And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”” ~ Genesis 2:18 NKJV. “It is not good for man to be alone, I will make him a helper...” With those words, our Sovereign God begun the process that led to the first marriage union between a man and a woman.
The 43rd episode of your favorite podcast centered on the positional privilege of every believer in Jesus Christ, Stewardship in the Kingdom of God. As believers in Jesus Christ, we must look at Stewardship as a privilege and not a burden. It is also a position that comes with the new covenant we have with our God through belief and confession of His Son Jesus Christ.
In his attack on the family, the enemy of our souls has found a willing participant in modern society and specific government policies in the west. This calculated albeit subtle assault is laser- focused on the head of the family because a decapitated body cannot function–fulfill its purpose as intended by our Sovereign God.
The 41st episode of your favorite podcast focused on Image and Identity, particularly the image of God we are all made in and our Spiritual identity found in the Word of God. As believers in Jesus Christ, we have an image problem. An identity problem.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we have a love and passion for our sovereign God; and a desire and pleasure in the people and things He created for us to enjoy on the earth. It is at this intersection we find the subject of idolatry.
Episode 39 was the 2nd part of now series we started in Episode 31 titled “The Destructive Force of Pride”. As we contemplated in 31, it is pure hubris for mankind, not just believers, but mankind, to think speak and do anything that is contrary to the Word of God.
Unforgiveness contaminates anyone/anything it comes in contact with; for a follower of Jesus Christ, it's an even deadlier poison that causes disorder, misalignment, and separation in our spiritual lives.
As we turn the final page in our transition to the next chapter of The Spoken Verity podcast, our 37th installment focused on the direction and focus for TSV. The Reverend and Brother Sozo understand that while the number of laborers for the show has changed, the mandate from our God hasn’t. He will accomplish all His purpose and part of the purpose for your favorite podcast is being an end-time message for those who are lost without Jesus Christ, and how to walk victoriously in this life with Him.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, "To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:," and in Genesis 1:14, we find this verity, Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;"
TSV family! Episode 36 of your favorite podcast was a reset episode in which The Rev and Bro. Sozo collectively reviewed the first season of your favorite podcast in preparation for our new phase in this Holy Spirit-inspired venture.

One vital means of growing closer to someone is spending time with them– having meaningful conversations, and in some cases, sharing experiences. The same is true of our relationship with Abba Father. He speaks to us through His Word; we communicate to Him through prayer, praise, and worship.
Basically, the devotional life is a perpetual habit of setting aside time to sit at the feet of our risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This deliberate and consistent practice requires persistency and commitment but doesn't have a designated process or duration; it's borne out of a relationship.
What does the Word of God say about healing? What prevents us from receiving this healing? Listen as the hosts of your favorite podcast answer these questions and share their personal experiences of natural and supernatural healing.
The sin of pride has been embraced in all aspects of human life and is lauded as meritorious in the culture. We see prides stain in all of mankind, rich or poor, saved or unsaved.
We can see it in the TV shows that are available for our visual consumption. In the music that is vying for our attention. Even from those who preach every Sunday.
Episode 30 of your favorite podcast picked up the conversation from EP 27, where we examined the ongoing battle between the Spirit and the flesh.
Our focus for this episode was on the Fruit of the Spirit, as recorded in Galatians 5: 22-23a. It is often misunderstood but quite essential to note that this is one Fruit with many characteristics or, one could say, one Fruit with nine flavors.
Why does God emphasize “renewing” our minds? How do we overcome negative, self-destructing thoughts? What are steps we can take to take captive what attempts to exalt itself against the knowledge of God?
Episode 28 was the conclusion of the 3 part series we started in Season 1, Episode 22, titled “The Divisions among us, Skin Color, Doctrine and Denominations”. Our conversation for this episode continued in the same Spirit as Episode 25, in the fact that it was one of continued healing for the body of Christ as we focused on why denominations are divisive at its core and have no root in scripture.
TSV family, there is an ongoing civil war taking place within every believer, the origin of this battle predates us, brothers and sisters– going back all the way to Satan being cast out of heaven, and till this very minute, this battle continues to cause extensive damage to millions of believers on a daily basis.
What is fear?
Where does it come from?
How do we incorporate 2 Timothy 1:7 to overcome fear?
How do we incorporate Joshua 1:6 to overcome fear?
Our 2nd season started with the 2nd installment of the 3 part series we started in Season 1, Episode 22, titled “The Divisions among us, Skin Color, Doctrine, and Denominations."
Our conversation for this episode continued in the same Spirit as Episode 22, in the fact that it was one of healing for the body of Christ as we focused on why doctrinal divisions must not exist in a church without spot, wrinkle, or blemish.
In John 14:3, Jesus Christ, our risen Lord, and Savior, said these words, "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” In this season 1 finale of The Spoken Verity Podcast, the hosts examined in detail the imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Our Episode 23 conversation was centered around heaven or hell, where is our final destination? We spoke of an eternal destination we all have when we finish our race. Will the Lord say, "Depart from Me!" Or will the Lord say, "Well done…"
Episode 22’s conversation is the beginning of a 3 part series, titled “The Divisions among us, Skin Color, Doctrine and Denominations. Our dialogue was one of healing for the body of Christ as we focused on why these current divisions must not exist in a church without spot, wrinkle or blemish.
Our aim was not to amplify these challenges, but to share biblical verity to dismantle the divisive plan the enemy of our souls has been propagating in the body of Christ since the beginning of the Church.
There is only one God, and He manifests Himself in three distinct and co-equal Persons? How can that be? Both concepts seem mutually exclusive to our feeble human minds, but that is expected when finite human beings attempt to understand an infinite God.
While the word Trinity is not in the Bible, several references point to the triune nature of our Sovereign God. As given to us by Holy Spirit, the mandate for this episode is to help listeners better understand our God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We covered the importance of reconciliation with God will enable us to better reconcile with others when it is possible.
The 3rd, and possibly final, installment of “The Authority as a Believer in Jesus Christ” series was a call to arms, if you will, as we detailed “The Weapons of our Warfare”. The weapons we use as believers in Jesus Christ, when engaging in Spiritual battle, are found in the Word of God.
We, humans, were created for relationship, a gift from our sovereign God. When we understand that verity, it becomes clear why millions of people seek the true meaning of love, especially in these end times.
Sadly, everything but the true definition of love, according to the verity of the Word of God, turns up in such searches.
Episode 17 focuses on making great decisions versus decisions that lead the family away from God instead of to Him. In this episode we share how the worst decision a person can make is to die without Jesus Christ as his/her Lord and Savior.
The 2nd installment of “The Authority as a Believer in Jesus Christ” series brought lucidity concerning our Preparation for Spiritual Battle. As we operate within our delegated authority from our God, through Jesus Christ, we must understand that our preparation for Spiritual warfare is just as requisite as the application of our preparation.
A continuation from Episode 12 of The Spoken Verity Podcast, where we explored the concept of Faith, this episode examined the concept of Hope. According to the English dictionary, hope is defined as "the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best.” But the Biblical meaning of hope is a confident expectation and desire for good things in the future solely based on the character and promises of our God.
Is a Christian able to support capital punishment?
Is a Christian able to support abortion?
Is there forgiveness for capital punishment offenses, abortion, etc…?
Your Authority as a believer in Jesus Christ allows you to fulfill your earthly purpose, as ordained by Holy Spirit. The Believer must be clear as to what their authority is, where it comes from and how to use it. Once that clarity is established, the believer is fully capable of utilizing their delegated authority in heaven and on earth. It is time for us to exercise our authority, to cast out devils, to speak in tongues, to bind and loose in heaven and on earth.
The English dictionary defines faith as, "a system of religious belief,” and we’ve heard phrases like, a man of faith, or a woman of faith, but what is the true definition of faith?
According to the Verity of God’s Word, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” ~ Hebrews 11:1. Pastor Tony Evans likes to define it like so, “faith is acting like it is so, even when it’s not so, in order that it might be so, simply because God says so.”
Today’s episode will focus on “Nehemiah,” and how we face challenges. This Book, found in the Old testament, is a great example for us to understand the importance of overcoming adversity along with the challenge of maintaining a prayer life, challenges to our character, and challenges to our commitment to live as Christians.
When we endeavor to do God’s will in all areas of our lives, we are pleasing to Him. Our way of living must reflect God’s purposeful plan for our lives, as prescribed in His Word. The Fear of Man brings a snare… (Proverbs 29:25)
Having an understanding of what the Bible says about money is vital to the strengthening of a Christian's eternal perspective because the Bible does have a lot to say about finances. It's been reported that there are about 2,350 verses concerning finances in the Bible, and of the 38 recorded parables of Christ our risen Lord and Savior, 16 of them deal, in one way or another, with money — clearly, money is an important subject.
Since the Bible and our Lord Jesus while He was here on earth felt the need to place such emphasis on this topic, we at the Spoke Verity Podcast felt it is imperative to take some time and explore a Christian's relationship with money.
“Therefore, if you have been raised with Christ, keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, Who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory” ~ Colossians 3:1-4
When our God gives us a directive in His Word, He does so with eternity in mind. As believers in Jesus Christ, our reborn spirits have the ability to operate within the mandates of Scripture. God's requirements for man, as detailed in Micah 6:8, isn’t a weighty lift for believers.
In setting the foundation for this episode, it is imperative to state that we at The Spoken Verity Podcast (TSV) unequivocally believe that marriage is between a man and a woman and was created before man’s fall in the garden of Eden. Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6.
Even at that, a marriage can be ‘doing great,” but not necessarily centered around Christ. In expounding on this topic, we applied Ephesians 5:22-33 as our foundational Scripture.
The Bible states in Ephesians 4:29, “Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.”
So what does our conversation sound like? We hear a lot of 'narrative' and 'rhetoric' which tends to be self-serving dialogue with a hidden or not so hidden agenda.
If you are a believer in Jesus Christ then what God says in His Word concerning His choice of our gender and skin color will be what you believe and accept as truth. Any actions against this Truth makes you an enemy of God.
In James 1:2-4, we find this Scripture, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
So Christians are not exempt from trials and should expect it to be a part of our lives, but to what aim? Listen to this episode of The Spoken Verity podcast as the hosts take turns to explain the purpose of trials based on the Word of God and from their perspective, as well.
On Today’s episode we will focus on “Fact vs Faith” We can also say Science vs Faith because Scientist tend to act in an official capacity when in fact, it is a guesstimate.
It is not just enough to know what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ through his inerrant Word, one must know how to articulate it by being “instant in season and out of season” (2 Timothy 4:2).
Listen to this foundational episode of The Spoken Verity podcast as we laid to bare what we at TSV believe and live everyday as followers of Jesus Christ.
How do you determine the truth of any matter? What is the barometer you use to establish Verity in your life? Listen to this introductory episode of The Spoken Verity podcast as the hosts explain the foundation of the podcast as well as introduce themselves to the listeners.
