“Feel Good Music” is the phrase that defines the style and message J-Vic creates when his fans listen to his music. J-Vic, also known as Jason Smalls, was born in Long Island New York. At the age of fourteen he moved to South Carolina with his older brother and father. This was a necessary move as his father wanted to create a better quality of life for his sons after the death of their mother.

To further develop himself as a writer and vocalist, J-Vic left his home in South Carolina to expand his musical range by recording and producing music in the city of Atlanta for himself and some local artists. This point in his Journey was only beginning as it led him to return to his original home of New York City to attend the Institute of Audio Research. Not only did J-Vic graduate, but he went a step further and started a production and artist management company known as G6 Entertainment Group LLC. Through his company, J-Vic continues to write and produce for other independent artists, further increasing his catalog of music.

With the digital release of songs like "Spell My Name In It" and Been Thinking, there is anticipation building for the release of J-Vic’s self titled album “J-Vic”. With J-Vic being a vocalist as well as a producer/ song writer, the release of “J-Vic” will provide his fans with a variety of original song titles demonstrating his “feel good” sound and style.

The success and growth J-Vic has experienced to this point are not only driven by his passion for music, but also by the emotions and memories he still has from the loss of his mother due to cancer. Those emotions and memories are what fuel his determination and maintain the focus necessary to achieve his goals as an artist. That is why when asked about his style, J-Vic does not reply by saying he is a Hip Hop/R&B artist, but labels himself “as an artist who makes that feel good music”.--
