I wrote this in honour of Social Justice Day and the fight against slut shaming and how overly sexualised your body becomes to the point where you feel like your skin isn’t really yours anymore.
I wrote this poem, because I feel that growing up as a young girl apart of a minority, I wake up every day with a sense of displacement and I think it's important to understand that no matter your race, gender or culture you can still achieve your goals if you really try.
