The man, myth, and legend who started one of the most iconic events of the Ozarks is on the mic this week, Mr. Joe Wilson. It's about that time of the year when outdoorsmen and women start getting itchy about the fall, and one of the markers that we're getting closer is, without a doubt, the World Champion Squirrel Cook Off! We talked about the genesis of the event, how it's grown over the years, and its cultural significance to the area of Northwest Arkansas and the greater region of the Ozarks. Enjoy!
We also got to sit down with Joe on his podcast 'Cookin' Up a Story' Check it out here.

He's been a staple in the region for more than 25 years as a conservationist, writer, and photographer and is most widely known for his multiple 'Arkansas Waterfalls Guidebook' which can be found on any decent Ozarkian's book shelf. Tim's influence is basically unmeasurable and he was nice enough to invite out to his gallery near Ponca, Arkansas to discuss his life story, how he got started in photography, and what motivates him to continuing pursuing it even to this day.
