Stanton Hunter

A Rising Tide lifts all boats. This is my never ending journey to improve myself and in doing so, become a better father and husband. This is more than a podcast - it's a community. One where we can learn and grow together.

My family has this tradition, if you will, where we give the men in the family a nickname from their middle name and use that to identify them.  This has led to a massive identity crisis for myself, and it goes even further than that.  I have lost sight as to which DBA or instagram account I should be posting things to.  I send people to too many different accounts to be able to gain really any traction on any of them, and I need to figure out how to consolidate all of my creative entities into a more manageable situation.

This week, I just talk it out and see if anything comes of it. Check it out.

I recently discovered RUCKING - Walking with weighted backpacks.  What makes it so great is anyone can do it, it burns more calories than walking and it takes less of a toll on your body than running.  This week, I sit down with Ben Stanislav, former member of The National Guard, to discuss the benefits of this type of workout.     Follow along and rise with us. Humans are inherently self-sabotaging.  In this debut episode of The Rising Tide Podcast, I break down the excuses I have told myself to stop from succeeding in goals, including excuses that delayed the start of this very podcast.  In hindsight, it seems pretty silly that I wasn't able to start working out because I didn't have a name for his podcast, but at the time, it made complete sense.... How can you recognize these excuses and what can you do to overcome them?  We explore a few common excuses and reasons why they are dumb.
