We also have a very interesting question of the week which sparks a debate, stay tuned for more tv recaps, personal updates and our favourite news stories every Friday!
In this weeks episode of The Chat Room, I invite back Harley Baptiste to delve into the huge topic of body image with me. The Chat Room is officially back after a long break and this week I am joined by my oldest and best friend Georgia Martin. She moved to Israel in August 2020 and we discuss her experience living there during the recent war between Israel and Hamas. We also draw on my experiences living in the UK during a huge peak in anti-Semitism as a direct result of the conflict in the middle east. We try to be as unbias as possible, however as Jews we have a very strong connection to Israel. Enjoy.
This week I am joined by my mum! We discuss lessons of life that she wanted to share with me through her experiences both growing up and as a parent, enjoy!
I have Harley Baptiste back on the podcast with me as we discuss our thoughts on the 5 stages of a breakup, as well as the stages of a relationship forming and the importance of saying I love you!
In this episode, I am joined by my very talented and dedicated friend Natalie Good. She is a singer, songwriter, musician and voiceover artist. In this episode we discuss her career vs my teaching career, why pursuing our passions through our chosen career paths has been so important in shaping who we are, and the various elements that come into ultimately deciding on your career, a decision that we believe is the most important one you can make. Enjoy!
In this weeks episode, my friend Emily and I talk all about social media and the dangers that come alongside it. For instance, the exposure to unrealistic body images, the act of comparing ourselves to those we see on social media who appear to lead extravagant and exciting lives and have perfect skin body and hair, and the way we spend so much time posting and stalking others' posts that we forget to be present in the moments that define our lives and memories. We also discuss the things we like about social media as there are some pros as well as the many cons we find ourselves wanting to shine a light on. This episode is incredibly relevant to the modern world and offers some interesting conversations around the way our generation are choosing to live their lives. Enjoy!
In this weeks episode, my lovely friend Sophie Burlison and I speak about feminism. We discuss many things such as the kinds of feminists we are, the way women are portrayed in the media and attempt to re-define feminism as what it truly means - the belief that men and women should have equal rights. Feminism is a topic that I have always felt very strongly about, and I hope everyone finds our take on it interesting!
In my first solo episode, I talk all about manifesting, why it works for me and why it’s important to have goals in mind, especially when entering a new year. The topics of conversation this week include New Years resolutions, whether or not manifesting can be dangerous to rely on and why working hard as well as manifesting is important in our journey into achieving our desires and goals.
In this weeks episode, my guest Sam Etzioni and I discuss the issues surrounding sexuality including labels, bi erasure and dating in the gay world vs the straight world. Our hope for this chat is to educate those that perhaps know little about sexuality and to talk through our beliefs and opinions surrounding the topic. Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
I am joined by my best friend, Hannah Fyffe, who I met at university and lived with for 3 years! We discuss our own mental health journeys as well as topics we feel are important when discussing mental health as a whole.
This week I have guest Harley Baptiste on the podcast to discuss the ins and outs of the dating world with me. Having a male perspective on all the questions we as women ask was something I thought would really help my listeners to see the different ways men and women view dating! I was pleasantly surprised with how many similar opinions we had, enjoy!
Me and my best friend Jess Baskind discuss everything we have learnt during this crazy year being in and out of lockdown! We have a conversation about our achievements and all that we will be bringing forward with us as we come out of the second lockdown, enjoy!
