MC Monti, is popular for so many reasons... he’s well knows for announcement during drag race/ fever sports events and he hosts his very own morning show. Life had its ups and downs, which included an operation of almost 24 hours to his back, a spectacular proposal that led to a premature marriage, which ultimately ended, although he’s still dating his ex-wife. Then, he had to endure the loss and sudden death of his best friend Dj Renzo. This is his story (in a nut shell).
Curtis Meris is a catholic priest, but not the ones we know from 20 years ago. He’s here to create breakthrough, maintaining his norms and values, and above all his faith. He’s the trendiest of them all, and don’t let that fool you- his faith and purpose- are non-negotiable. He serves his community with passion.

Her name is Nyorka Lindeborg, the world calls her 𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐀 ‘𝐃𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐢𝐝’ (in english The Maffia Girl, or in spanish La Chica De La Maffia). I recently sat down with NINA to talk about her past, present and future. A dramatic summary would be: She left Curacao and moved to Holland at the age of 12, when in Holland her mother physically and emotionally abused her. She leaves school at the age of 14, she went on to leave the house at the age of 15. At that age (15) NINA starts working as a prostitute, at the age of 19 she becomes a drug dealer and dates a drugs baron. In her later life she sits 10 years in prison for multiple criminal activities. This is her story. Her story is also available as a book “De Maffiameid” and she recently launched the documentary series.

Willy Rodriguez is a talented Curaçao gospel songwriter and artist. Now, residing in the Netherlands and continuing his journey. He has written numerous gospel songs, and is best known for songs like ‘Ban Galilea’, ‘Dios Bendishonabo…’ and ‘Señor ta mi Wardador’. He has also written songs for other local (from Curacao) gospel artists.
𝐑 𝐄 𝐒 𝐏 𝐄 𝐂 𝐓 Shirma’s rich, powerful and soulful voice makes her one of the most popular singers of the Netherlands. Her musical journey started as backing vocal for artists like Chaka Khan, Michael Bolton, Alain Clark, Candy Dulfer, Henny Vrienten and Anouk. Shirma was awarded in 2015 with Edison Jazzism Audience Award. In 2017 and 2018 Shirma Rouse honored the 75th birthday of Aretha Franklin with “The Queen of Soul Celebration Tour”, a series of concerts in the Netherlands and of Shirma’s self-written sung-through theatershow “Shirma sings Aretha”.

Jacinta Constancia is a Curaçao native politician, seated in Parliament. She’s considered a leading lady in her neighborhood, Boca Sami- with a somewhat ‘hot’ temper. She was in the news for ‘slapping’ a female political opponent while in public office. We spoke to her about her upbringing, her life today, politics and a possible jail sentence she might have to comply with because of a fraud case against her (-this case is still in court at the time of recording).
