Over the last few years I have been on my own journey from corporate burnout and adrenal fatigue, to online business consultant, learning to do business in a way that feels easy, grounded, organised, and most importantly fun.

Do you ever struggle with the idea of working on weekends? Is it a good thing or not?
The truth is, there is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. In this episode, we explore how to cultivate a healthy relationship with your work and why productivity should not be the only measure of success.
Key points in this episode:1. There is no right or wrong answer to whether working weekends is good or bad. It really depends on your situation, lifestyle, and the relationship you have with work. 2. Cultivating a healthy relationship with your work is key. When you choose to work because you're motivated and inspired, rather than forcing yourself to work when you're exhausted, you'll be more productive and have healthier boundaries between work and life. 3. Sometimes, working on weekends or longer into the evenings can be a good thing, but only if you're doing it by choice and not because you feel you have to. 4. Less is more when it comes to work. Focusing on fewer tasks and doing them well, rather than trying to do everything, can actually lead to higher quality work. 5. Remember, it's your business and your life. You have the right to set it up in a way that works best for you. If working on weekends or longer into the evenings doesn't work for you, it's okay to change your mind and make a different choice.

In this episode, we’re talking about how the principles of exercise and fitness can also be applied to business.
Key points in this episode:1. You don’t get fit from one workout. Yon’t get business success from one event - it takes time and consistency to build up your business. 2. Exercise is where you break down muscle. Rest is where it builds back stronger and fitter. Allowing time for rest will help you to make the gains you need and take your business to the next level. 3. In follicular and ovulation phases, you can use the higher energy to focus on growth and getting things done. In luteal and menstrual phases, take your foot off the gas and focus on sustaining what you’ve already built. 4. In follicular and ovulation you’re in an anabolic state, you can build muscle. In luteal you’re in a catabolic state, so the focus shifts to sustaining what you’ve built. 5. To improve your fitness and grow your business, you’ll need to stretch outside of your comfort zone.

In this episode we explore the importance of managing your energy, not just your time, when it comes to being productive and avoiding burnout in your business.

By working with and managing your energy, you can run your business in a way that doesn't drain you or burn you out, and you can reach your goals without hustling constantly or becoming resentful or frustrated with your business.

The focus of this episode is finding your cyclical rhythm.
Our cycles are split up into four key phases - follicular, ovulation, luteal, and menstrual. Each of these phases is influenced by a change in our hormones, and can affect how we think, feel and behave.
In this episode, we're going to cover how you can translate the science and info I share into your own cycle, and how to find your own cycle syncing rhythm and routine.
Key points in this episode:* Charting your cycle is key to understanding it. Find a way that works for you, whether it's an app, paper or calendar. The key is to track things that will give you insight into your patterns, whether it's your physical and body cues, your energy, or other things you want to track. * Put the phases of your cycle into your calendar. This way, you know what to say yes to and what to say no to. You have a greater awareness when you look at your calendar and plan things out. * Use your menstrual phase to check in with your goals for the cycle, and use your follicular phase to plan out what you want to do. Once you get into the groove of it and understand what you can and can't do in each of the phases, it'll become second nature. * Allow yourself to be flexible. Your cycles can change from month to month, and you need to work with the energy you have at the time. * Give yourself time to reflect and evaluate how things are going. Look back at the month, see if you noticed anything interesting pop up, and evaluate what worked and what didn't. This way, you can continue to optimize and improve your cycle by cycle.

Can I share a secret? When I first heard about cycle syncing I thought it was a load of crap. Until my curiosity got the better of me and I tried it.
Turns out it was a missing piece of the puzzle that helped me to change my habits, and heal from burnout.
Key points in this episode:* When you're in a phase of having zero motivation and inspiration, it will always return. You just have to be patient and allow it to come back. Use the high energy phases when you have more energy, motivation, and inspiration. Do all the creation then so that in the lower energy phases, you've got stuff ready to go. * The more you can slow down and rest in your late luteal and early menstrual phases, the easier the other phases of your cycle will be. * You can't do cycle syncing or anything in business perfectly. You just have to do the best that you can. * Data is everything. When it comes to cycle syncing, that's tracking and charting your cycle. When it comes to other areas of your business, it's looking at your social media stats to see what content is resonating with people. * You need to create space for ideas and clarity to drop in. I you’re always busy and doing, you don’t see or hear it.

In this episode, we explore the question: Are there areas of your business where you're making things harder for yourself than they really need to be? And I share some personal experiences and examples from my own business, highlighting the importance of taking action and avoiding over complicating things.
Key points in this episode:1. Making things harder for yourself can happen in various areas of your business, such as marketing, social media, creating offers, or setting up complex systems for simple problems. 2. While planning is important, remember that when you start out you have the least amount of information available to you, so let your plans grow and evolve as you go. 3. Overthinking and overcomplicating things can lead to procrastination and feelings of overwhelm. And then frustration because you’re stuck not taking action. 4. Instead of aiming for perfection, taking imperfect action and small steps aligned with your goals allows for learning and growth over time.

In this episode, we talk to Kris Emery, an editor and author about the process of writing a book.
Kris shares tips on how to get started, what to consider before diving in, and how to stay motivated throughout the process of writing your book. She covers the importance of beta readers, the role of editors, and the difference between traditional publishing and self-publishing. Kris also discusses the challenges of writing and how to overcome them.
Key points in the episode:* Before diving into writing a book, it's important to test your idea and determine what's in it for you and the audience. Make sure you have energy for the subject and that there's something in the book that solves a problem or answers a question. * Use an outline to keep your writing on track, but don't feel like it needs to be rigid or fully fleshed out. An outline can be a working document. * Writing a book can be a lonely journey, so it's important to bring other people on board to provide feedback and support. * Traditional publishers are changing and adapting, but book sales are still strong. Self-publishing can be a stepping stone to traditional publishing to prove your concept, grow your audience, and show a traditional publisher that your proposition is attractive. * Writing a book is a meaty project and takes time, effort and energy. But it is a worthwhile effort and can be one of the most rewarding things you do in your career.
Tune in to hear Kris go deeper into these subjects and more.

How often do you wear your CEO hat in your business?
It can be so easy, especially if your business is just you, or you and a small team, to get stuck in the detail of the day to day. Of dealing with what is right in front of you, of doing the doing.
But if you think about CEOs, they don’t do a lot of the day to day doing, they get paid the big bucks to make the hard decisions, to be the visionary, to determine the strategy, to manage risk.
When you don’t take the time to wear your CEO hat, it’s easy to lose sight of why you started your business in the first place, to feel directionless.
Key points in this episode:* CEO’s are responsible for setting the vision, strategy and long term goals for your business. They’re focused on long term growth and sustainability. * You can take a cyclical approach to being the CEO, using the 4 phases of your menstrual cycle. * Make space each week to wear your CEO hat, to zoom out of the detail and day to day.

If you were to have a social post go viral and have a massive influx of people wanting to work with you, how would that make you feel?
And how well would your business cope with that?
If the behind the scenes of your business is a bit disorganised or messy, growing your business is not going to magically fix that. It will just create a bigger and messier mess, with more stress and frustration.
So if the behind the scenes of your business is stressing you out, this episode is for you.
Key points in this episode:* When your business grows, especially if it's quickly, it will only amplify the problems you have been trying to ignore * Pay attention to what frustrates you, especially in your luteal phase * Don't try and fix everything all at once. * Create repeatable processes for the things you do over and over again in your business * Automate things that don't need the human touch * Outsource things you don't need to do

We all dream of the overnight success and big influx of cash into our business.
But a business built on hustle and hard work alone will always require that to keep going.
The majority of my clients have super successful businesses before they come to work with me. What they don't have, is the strong foundations to support and ground their business.
They're so damn good at what they do, that making money is easy. They've spent the majority of their time working with clients, focusing on sales and marketing (which is of course crucial for a successful business).
But getting things in place behind the scenes is an after thought. And as time goes on, things get complicated, messy, and unstable. And the longer you leave it, the worse it seems to be to fix.
Key points in this episode:* Why you need to focus on the behind the scenes of your business * Slowing down, and taking the time to get systems, processes, the right apps and tools, and working on an aligned plan, seems like it will slow down your progress. But in the long run, those are the things that will keep your business running smoothly. * The direction you move in is more important than the pace you're moving at * The key to building a sustainable business is being more intentional about the journey you take to get there.

Business is a marathon, not a sprint. You have to play the long game on strategy, there is no such thing as an overnight success.
But at the same time, you do need to be moving forward, taking action, and sometimes the marathon analogy can make it feel like you don't achieve anything until you get to the very end...And without those wins you can lose motivation and momentum.
One of the concepts I worked with in the corporate world was agile and sprints.
Sprints are a short defined period of time, where you break down the end goal into small chunks that can be achieved inside that sprint, and so while you are focused on the end goal, you're also focused on making progress each and every sprint.
Over the holiday period I realised that our cycles are perfect for implementing sprint planning.
In this episode I'm sharing more about what sprint planning is, and how we can use it with a cyclical approach.
Key points in this episode:* Each sprint you plan to do what is achievable in that sprint. You don't try and do as much as possible as fast as possible. * Utilising sprints helps you to feel like you're making progress, to see it, to get the dopamine hit that comes with ticking something off your to do list. * When you align your sprint planning with the phases of your cycle, you can take advantage of your cyclical nature to make progress on your goals * How I am implementing sprint planning in my business this year.

As soon as January arrives there is so much content filling your inbox and social media feeds about planning the new year.
For me December has felt a lot like a luteal month, slowing down, wrapping things up.
And January very much like a menstrual month, a time to reflect, get clarity on my vision and goals.
In this episode I share my process for easing into the new year slowly and purposefully.

Sometimes new offers drop in with all the clarity we need to take action and make it happen.
More often than not though, we need time to mull things over, get more clarity, work out how all the pieces fit together. In these situations, our cycles and hormones can be helpful in working it all out, and getting the new offer out into the world.
Key points in this episode:* Your luteal phase is a great time to review current offers, what is working, and what isn't * Your menstrual phase is a phase for connecting with your big vision and how this new offer aligns with that * Your follicular phase is supportive of figuring out all the details, and beginning to create the offer * And ovulation is a great phase for getting out there and selling!

I've been thinking a lot lately about how we measure success.
I love data and metrics, and as valuable as all that stuff is, there are other ways we can define and measure success.
It's been a common thread of previous episodes, both solo and with guests, about defining what your version of success looks like, not what everyone on the internet is telling you it should be or what it should look like.
Because when you're working towards something that inspires and motivates you, that is creating the life and business you actually want, it feels a lot more exciting than a goal you're not truly aligned within or really give a shit about.
Key points in this episode:* You get to define what success looks like for you - your business, your rules * It's not just about the quantitative but also the qualitative * Some ideas and inspiration for broadening the definition of success beyond money, sales, and social media engagement

I've been feeling really disillusioned with the online business world lately. It started to feel like some massive business coaching pyramid scheme... no one seems to care about the impact they can have on the world, it's just how much money you can make.
So I've been looking to other industries for inspiration in how they market and sell their products and services.
Two of the industries I love and have looked to are music and movies. So it's been great timing to observe Taylor Swift launch her new album Midnights. And whether you love or hate her, you can't deny she's did an amazing job with this album launch.
In this episode I share my key business and launching learnings from Taylor Swift.
Key points in this episode:* Her success didn't come overnight! This is her 10th album. * She has created a community of raving fans * She used the pre-launch phase to build hype and anticipation so that millions of people were there waiting to hit play the second it went live * She didn't sit back and wait for people to find the new album on Spotify, she promoted the heck out of it * She has her haters, but she focuses on creating music for those who get her and love her * She hasn't been afraid to change and evolve over time

There is so much to do when you run a business. Some of it you knew you were in for before you started out, other things take you by surprise.
Add in all the things people all over the internet tell you that you have to do in order to have a successful business, the plethora of different platforms you could be on, all the different ways you can serve clients, market your business, and it can get pretty overwhelming quickly.
In this episode I'm sharing some ways you can decide what is important for you and your business.
Key points in this episode:
All of our businesses are different and that is ok. You get to create your business your way.* Start by getting clear on your big vision and goals for your business. Let go of anything that doesn't take you closer to that.
* Consider your strengths and talents, and choose strategies and business models that work for you. And don't forget about your target market and what works best for them too.
* Don't create false urgency! Be realistic about what you can actually do with your time and energy.
* Prioritise money making activities.

For many of us, learning to slow down, learning to rest when we need it, learning to listen to our bodies cues, doesn't come easily.
We've been conditioned to believe that life is about doing more and having more, and that you have to work your butt off to get it.
But for women, we aren't built that way. Biologically we cannot go at the same level day in and day out, we need time to slow down and rest.
In this episode we explore why slowing down can be so damn hard.
Key points in this episode:1. Our cyclical nature provides us with the inbuilt opportunity to slow down and rest as well as work hard each cycle 2. We need to change our default behaviours and language we use around rest 3. Slowing down feels hard because we're not use to it, you need to practice it in order to get better 4. For many of us we're scared of being idle, we're scared we won't earn any money or reach our goals if we slow down

Like our cycles, the seasons of the year, or the phases of the moon, our businesses are seasonal too.
There are seasons where we see growth, and seasons where we focus on sustaining where we are.
There are seasons of fast action, and seasons for slowing down.
But for many of us, the slower paced seasons feel uncomfortable. We're constantly bombarded with messaging online about growing and scaling your business, hitting that next income goal. And there is nothing wrong with business growth, but its about doing it in a way that is intentional and in alignment with the business that you want to create.
Key points in this episode:* We need the slower paced seasons of our business to get clarity and ensure we are in alignment * Slowing down isn't stopping, it's not going backwards, it's not failing * It's not sustainable for us to be in high paced action taking seasons in our businesses all the time * The act of slowing down goes against all our conditioning, it will feel rebellious and uncomfortable at first

Taking the time to slow down, take stock, reassess, and then move forwards in the right direction.

Does it feel like you're doing everything right, but not making progress? Not getting the results you want or expect?
Are you tracking your stats and looking at your metrics?
Bear with me….
We all know that you can't just set the intention and things magically happen. Results come from taking the practical action, from the things you actually do, not just think about doing.
Key Points in this Episode: * Tracking the actions you're taking is one way to ensure you're actually doing the things you need to to reach your goals. * Your metrics will also help pin point where things might be going wrong, and whether you need to tweak and adjust your approach * Qualitative insight is important too! You need both. * Examples of non-business metrics - tracking your macros, charting your cycle, tracking how many times you workout * Examples of business metrics - each step of your funnel, your social media reach and engagement, list growth, email open and click through rates.

Cycle syncing is a wild ride. You meet parts of yourself that otherwise might have remained hidden.
In this episode I'm sharing some of my lessons from cycle syncing, as they relate to how I show up and run my business.
And it's not just the practical things like working harder in higher energy phases, and slowing down in lower energy phases.
5 things I've stopped doing in my business since I started cycle syncing * beating myself up when I was low in energy and motivation * pushing, hustling, and working hard all month long * saying yes to everyone and everything * doing things that just don't feel good for me and my business * holding on to things that no longer feel aligned

Key points in this episode: What resonates with audiences is always growing and evolving, so your strategies have to as well People have short attention spans, highlighted by the popularity of TikTok and Reels People are over the spammy and gross tactics of the past, they want value and will buy from people who give them that You're allowed to explore other launch strategies, you don't have to stick to what used to work, or what everyone else is doing.

I interview Laura Torbett from Lunae Collective. Laura is a movement enthusiast whose mission supports women from menarche to menopause with cycle-friendly movement practices. lunae is a roadmap of phasic exercise for menstruators.
This week I am celebrating the 1 year anniversary of the podcast!
So, for this episode I thought I would share some of the lessons I've learnt this year about podcasting, myself, and my business.
Key points in this episode:
You have to be willing to suck at something new Systems and templates make life so much easier Sometimes you have a lot to say, and at other times nothing Listener behaviour and analytics offer some useful insights into what topics resonate with people Podcasting is a long term strategy Getting support in the beginning makes the learning curve easier to navigate
Now this is intended to be a bit of fun.
But today I wanted to chat about some of things I see and experience online that are just plain ick!
Now what makes my skin crawl might not seem so bad for you. Use the tactics and strategies that feel good and right for you. Your business, your rules.
Also please remember that it's possible that in the past we have done things that we look back on and cringe. It's all a learning process, don't beat yourself up. Learn and move on.
Business tactics I'm over: * Cold pitches, either in the DMs or via email * People who follow you and then randomly like a bunch of your posts in the hope you'll follow them back… * No ability to opt out of launch specific email sequences * Using shame tactics in marketing that make you feel bad about yourself * Lifestyle marketing aka look at how rich I am
We've all seen those internet millionaires talking about how they only work 2 hours a day and still make oodles of cash each month. And I am not debating that they do, but…what you're seeing is not the whole picture.
If you don't have a team, or maybe you have a VA for a few hours a week, or you outsource projects here and there, it might be easy to look at that and think how is that even possible?
And that is what we're going to explore right now.
Key points in this episode: You're not seeing the whole picture, the effort and work it took for them to get the foundations in place to build a business like this While the business owners might only work a few hours a week, they have a team supporting them behind the scenes to make this possible The anti-hustle movement has gone a little too far in glamorising working less and making more You get to build the business that you want, in the way that you want

I hear myself often telling my clients, start simple, get the foundations in place, and then add more.
It's human nature to assume something we have never done is going to be hard, and I think at times this leads to the false assumption that it must be complicated.
And when we haven't done something in our business before - maybe its create and launch a new program, set up your first evergreen funnel, run a webinar or 5 day experience, we often assume that we have to do all the things we see others in the online space doing.
And then we make it really hard for ourselves, it becomes this big, scary, overwhelming thing. So we don't do it. We hold ourselves back.
Or we try to do it end up burnout and frustrated because we think it needs to be this big thing with all the bells and whistles.
Key points in this episode: * Trying to replicate someone else's strategy probably won't work for you * You need to build the foundations in your business to support sustainable growth * Business and launching can be simple * Take the simple and imperfect actions, find what works and what doesn't, and allow that to support your business growth

I remember when I first started working full time after I graduated from university.
I prided myself on how efficient I was, how much work I could get done, and how quickly I could get it done. I was always asking for more work, more projects.
I didn't realise it then, but I was trying to prove my worth by how efficient I was.
I was looking for external validation, pats on the back, comments about how good I was.
But I also got a high from ticking stuff off my to do list, I lived for that next hit, and like any drug, over time you need more and more just to get that same pleasure.
It's any wonder I ended up with severe burnout!
In this episode I'm sharing my journey from being a prisoner to my to do list, to creating space and freedom in my business.
Key points in this episode: * Being busy for the sake of being busy is the path to burnout * Success comes from aligned action, not doing all the things * Working in harmony with your cycle supports periods of rest as well as periods of productivity * Its ok to let go of what isn't working

Do you ever take the time to stop and review your business? What works? And what doesn't? Am I still working towards the right goals? Am I working on the right things that will take me towards those goals? Am I working as efficiently and effectively as I can? Do I have the right tools to support my business?
In this episode I share the process I go through with both my own business, and my mentoring clients, to complete a business review.
Key points of the episode: Your luteal phase is a great time for doing a review Identify the key areas of your business - content, clients, courses, financials, tools and apps Ask these questions: How much time and energy is this taking? Does this feel good, fun, in alignment? What aspects of this aren't working? How can I make this easier or do this better? What can you let go of? What are your quick wins and bigger projects you need to prioritise?

If you're listening to this podcast you know I'm a fan of cycle syncing, and you probably are too. Today I wanted to share some of the more common mistakes or things I see tripping people up when they begin their cycle syncing journey.
Common mistakes discussed in this episode: 1 - Expecting to solve all your problems in one cycle 2 - Being too rigid with the rules of what to do in each phase, even when you're not feeling it 3 - Not charting your cycle 4 - Giving up when it gets hard 5 - Feeling like it's all or nothing
Feeling overwhelmed? We all have those moments, days, weeks, where everything feels too much. When we get overwhelmed it can feel like we're stuck, just spinning our tires, expending a lot of energy but not getting anywhere. In the episode I'm sharing what I do when I find myself feeling overwhelmed.
Key points of this episode: 1 - Stop! 2 - Tune into what you're feeling 3 - What is causing the overwhelm? 4 - What can you do about it?
Procrastination.... We all do it at different times and for different reasons. I love human behaviour and psychology. So I've recently been observing both myself and my clients and why it is that we procrastinate. And in this episode I share my insights.
Key points in this episode: * Three reasons I have observed in myself and my clients are: lack of clarity lack of desire ** lack of belief * What you can do when you're procrastinating
A few years ago, hustling was the thing. Get up early, work late, be on all the platforms, do all things....
And then slowly some of us started to come to our senses and realise it was sustainable.
Hustle culture leads to burnout, sacrifice (personal life, health), doing anything and everything, do whatever it takes mentality
But you can have success in business without the hustle!
Key points in this episode: Anti-hustle isn't anti-success, its about working smarter, not harder.... It's about doing the right work that is in alignment with reaching your goals You can be anti-hustle and: work hard be productive be focussed on your goals be successful and driven but we do it in a way that is more sustainable. How our cyclical nature supports periods of work and periods of rest

We talk a lot about cycles around here. And one of the core components of understanding and applying the principles that I teach is getting to know your own cycle.
We're all different and so are our cycles. Some women are very regular, others not so much, Some women have shorter cycles and some longer Some align with the moon, others don't Some women have challenging cycles, others less so Some women have natural cycles, other's don't
So while understanding the theory of our hormones and cycles is great, getting to know your own cycle is how you can really start to embody cyclical living and business. And the way to do that is through tracking or charting your cycle.
Key points of this episode: Why charting your cycle is important in embodying cyclical living and business The benefits of charting your cycle What markers can you add to your chart Different ways you can chart your cycle

In this episode I spoke with Sally Guthrie - International Best Selling Author, Inspirational Speaker, Clinical Hypnotherapist, Advanced Rapid Transformational Therapist, and a PSYCH-K® Facilitator.
Sally has been a client of mine for a few years now, and because of that I get a sneak peak into the amazing work that she does with women.
Sally has a vast background in the study of the mind & human behaviour, from Yogic Philosophy, Neuroplasticity to Mind Mastery. The premise of Sally’s transformative work and signature methods is to ‘Know Thyself’. "Understanding and realigning what is unconsciously playing out allows us to ditch the invisible rubber band that holds us back and to access the infinite possibilities available to us all". Sally especially loves working with high functioning women that appear to have it all together on the outside but have one (or more) patterns/areas/issues that just aren’t working for them, holding them back from creating and living the life they desire.
Key points of this episode: Sally's personal journey of coming home to herself Cultivating an awareness of beliefs and definitions that no longer serve us Letting go of the need to control

We all have a favourite phase of our cycle... The one where we feel the most comfortable and at home.
For me that is follicular and ovulation. I'm good at planning, making things happen, rolling up my sleeves and getting things done.
And we also have those phases of our cycles that we resist... The ones that don't feel comfortable or we struggle to embrace them.
For me that is definitely luteal phase. Even though I know it's coming. Even though I know it's ok to slow down, to rest. I still resist it. I still beat myself up when one day I feel amazing, and a few days later that estrogen drop leaves me with a massive case of the CBFs. For me these are still the most difficult days of my cycle to navigate.
Today I wanted to share my tips on leaning into the phases we resist the most.
A reminder: if you have painful periods, severe PMS, mood swings, or other symptoms of hormonal imbalance, this is not normal. See your GP or naturopath and get support to balance your hormones.
Things to explore and reflect on: 1 - What exactly is it that you're resisting? 2 - Are you setting unrealistic expectations on yourself? 3 - Do you need support or to learn new skills? 4 - What is it that you really need?

There is a lot talk online at the moment about goal setting, intention setting, planning for 2022....
This is not going to be one of those episodes, well mostly not....
Before we get into today's content I want to remind you that there is no rush. You do not have to have 2022 planned out in detail within the first few days of January!
For the last couple of years I have given myself the whole of January to ease into the new year. No rush, no pressure.
A whole month gives me an entire cycle to review, align, plan and then start taking action.
Key points in this episode: Reflecting on 2021 What rocked What sucked What did I learn What would I do differently if I had a do-over What do I want 2022 to look like? Start, stop, keep doing? How do I want to feel?
When you have a launch that doesn't do as well as you'd hoped, it sucks!
But, it happens to everyone. Trust me. You might see these big launches and success online, what you don't see is the first few launches these people had that barely made any money....
But if you give up after one sucky launch, you never take what you learned, and use it to improve the next one. And get better with each launch. And maybe one day reach the launch goals you have.
Here are my tips for recovering from a failed launch: * Feel your feelings. * Do a review of your launch, even if it "failed" there will be some things that you can celebrate. * Also look at what didn't work, so you know what to tweak or adjust next time. * Set the intention to launch again. * Create a plan for your next launch that takes into account what you learnt from this, and moves you forward towards the next launch. * Get support where you need it.
Launching can be a very vulnerable and scary time. We put our heart and soul into something that we then put out into the world, and hope that others will love too.
Just like artists or musicians, we put so much into what we create in our business, but the perceived success of it lies in the hands of others.
And that can bring up a lot of stuff! Am I good enough? Do I know enough? Will people get value?
In this episode we talk about: * How do we know we're ready to launch our course, program, or offer * When is the right time to launch? * Is it a case of feeling the fear and doing it anyway?
When you observe the online course and coaching industry, it can seem like in order to have success in your launches, like the celebrity entrepreneurs, that we need to launch the way they do.
And that is why a lot of people shy away from launching, because it seems like this big, overwhelming, complicated thing. And quite frankly the thought of it feels too much.
But in this episode I want to share with you what you actually need to launch. And the good news is, it can be simple and easy!
What you think you need for a successful launch
1 - A complicated funnel, with lots of upsells, downsells, daily emails, false scarcity 2 - To offer a zillion bonuses or addons to prove the worthiness of your program 3 - Paid ads 4 - A huge audience 5 - To be on all the social platforms 6 - To hustle
What you actually need
1 - A product or service that solves a problem for your community 2 - To deliver a tonne of value, without worrying about giving away the good stuff for free 3 - A way to take money 4 - An engaged audience 5 - Mindset and energetic practices 6 - A launch plan
We've all see or been subjected to bro marketing, pushy, spammy, and down right gross tactics in the online business world.
I'm sure we've also all had mentors and coaches suggest we sell in a certain way, use certain launch strategies that just didn't sit well.
The thing is, any strategy can and will work for the right people under the right circumstances. But we also get to choose what we will and wont do. We get to choose what feels right for us, in alignment with our values. We get to choose how we run our business and launches.
How do we launch with integrity?
Be yourself, be authentic Sell and launch in a way that you'd want to be sold to! Be honest Experiment and learn from your mistakes
For almost everything in life and business, the first time you do something is always the hardest. Because you have no clue what you're doing... And it can feel really overwhelming when you're in that sink or swim phase, until you learn how to keep afloat.
Launching is exactly the same!
You look around and see people on the internet doing it, and think well it can't be that hard... Until you launch for the first time and realise there is more to it than the internet tells you. And as time goes on, your launches get bigger and more elaborate, and with that can come even more overwhelm.
So in this episode I wanted to share some of my favourite tips for launching (whether it's your 1st, 2nd or 10th) without the overwhelm.
Key points in this episode: 1 - Set your launch goals 2 - Have a plan 3 - Get help with the things that are not your zone of genius 4 - Launch around you cycle! 5 - Prepare before you launch 6 - Focus on your energy
I'm a naturally observant and analytical person. I was born this way, I can't help it. I love observing patterns, noticing trends, people watching.... I just find people so damn fascinating
And I really freaking love personality quizzes and archetypes!
So naturally I observe my clients, my peers, and people in my online circles and I started to see various launch archetypes appear.
So in this episode I wanted to share them with you.
1 - Last Minute Lucy 2 - Connector / Relationship Builder 3 - The Planner 4 - The Intuitive Launcher 5 - The Launch Celebrity
Tune into the episode to hear more about these archetypes.
When most people think about a launch, they normally think of the main promotional period of their launch...
But actually there are 3 key phases of your launch, and utilising the other 2 phases is what will make that promo period easier and more effective.
Key points in this episode: 1 - The pre-launch phase is the most important phase of your launch. In this phase you get everything you need organised, you 2 - The promotional period of your launch - the more you've done in the pre-launch, the more you can focus your time and energy on connecting, engaging, and making sales 3 - The post launch period - review what worked and what didn't, so you can make your next launch even easier
By now you should know why I love planning.
Planning keeps you focused on the right work that will move you towards reaching your goals. You know exactly what you need to do when you sit down at your desk each day.
In this episode we're covering how to plan your business in flow with your menstrual cycle.
** Not got a natural hormonal cycle? Sub the phases of the moon and apply the same principles - new moon is your menstrual phase, full moon is your ovulation phase.
Key points in this episode: * How I plan for the next 12 months, month, and week ahead * How I use the 4 phases of my cycle to plan and take action on my goals * The tools I use to plan my business
The planning tool I mentioned in this episode is Clickup. You can find out more here: https://clickup.com/?fp_ref=uuxn8 **Please note this is my affiliate link, if you sign up with Clickup on a paid plan I will receive a small commission, but I promote it because I love it and use it every day in my business.
In this episode I chat with my friend Jess from Charting with Jess
Jess Dzierbicki is a certified Fertility Awareness Instructor with the Natural Family Planning Teachers Association of the United Kingdom.
Jess created Charting with Jess to teach women how to quit hormonal birth control and instead use a natural method of contraception.
Jess is obsessed with women’s hormones and loves to help women from all walks of life see the amazing changes that can happen once they quit hormonal birth control.
Jess understands it can be overwhelming when first discovering this information and ensures her clients feel supported, empowered, safe, and secure when learning this method.
After working with Jess, you will have a deeper understanding of not only your menstrual cycle but also how these cyclical hormonal changes affect your physical, mental, and emotional health each month.
Jess is based in Melbourne, Australia but holds consults and coaching online to people all around the world.
Key points in this episode: * What is the Fertility Awareness Method aka FAM? * How to get started charting for fertility awareness * Jess's own journey of coming off hormonal birth control, learning FAM, and then becoming a certified instructor * How to talk to your partner and your doctor about FAM
The world we currently live in doesn't accept laziness. It's seen as a bad thing, not something to aspire to. We live in a culture that glamourizes hustle and praises hard work.
But in recent years I've been working to embrace the lazy part of myself. It hasn't been easy, she was buried pretty deep and hard to find thanks to all that conditioning and lifelong habits. But after burning out pretty bad, I knew embracing her had to become part of my life if I wanted to heal and not repeat the same patterns.
Key points in this episode: * If your body or mind is tired, you need rest, especially in the luteal and menstrual phases! * You should never have to feel guilty about slowing down and resting, its a normal part of how our bodies work and communicate with us. * My tips for embracing your own inner lazy girl. * A reminder that we are cyclical beings - we have our 24 hour circadian rhythm and our monthly cyclical rhythm, both of which require rest!
In this episode I chat with my friend Belinda Gill from Better Than Busy.
Belinda and I have been in many of the same online business circles for a few years now. We always connect over our shared business philosophies of keeping business simple and building your business without having to hustle.
Belinda is a an MBA qualified business strategist and mentor, who helps women to simplify their business model and strategy so that they can earn more without doing more. A former corporate lawyer, advisor and contract manager, she loves to find a simple solution to a complex situation. She is the least lawyer-like ex lawyer you will meet :). Belinda grew her business around her two kids and a day job and in 2020 doubled her business income whilst working less hours.
The last few months have been a huge process of uplevelling for me.
Back in episode 21 I talked about how to get out of a funk in your business. And that was really just the beginning.
That feeling of being unmotivated and lacking clarity on where to go.... was leading me down the path...
I could feel big changes were coming, but I didn't have full clarity on exactly what they were... I just knew that I had outgrown and was no longer in alignment with huge parts of my business. And it was really freaking scary, because although I knew what needed to go, I didn't have clarity on what was coming in its place.
So in this episode I let you in on what changes are coming to my business and the podcast, and also chat about how I navigated this process over the last few months.
Before I learnt about and embraced my cyclical nature I lived pretty much full time in the masculine energy of doing all the time.
And it would be nice to think that as soon as I learnt about the power of my cycle things changes overnight. But we all know that's never the case. It was a process of unlearning, and re-learning. In fact 4 years on, I'm still always learning.
In this episode I share my 5 key steps to embracing your cyclical nature.
In this episode we explore how you can blend both your intuition and systems in your business.
There's a common misconception that you have to to be one or the other, but actually there is a magical sweet spot where you can embrace both for different aspects of your business.
If you're all vision and no action, nothing ever gets out into the world If you're all action and no vision, and you're busy creating things that aren't aligned to your goals and dreams, and it can feel like you're on a hamster wheel always running but never going anywhere....
Key points in this episode: * How to tap into your intuition and use it in your business * Why you need systems and how they make business easier * How to blend using your intuition to guide your direction and ideas, and systems to make it happen
This is not your average podcast about being productive.
Because most advice out there falls short and prescribes what and how you must do things to be productive. And what's missing from most productivity advice is that its more than just being efficient and ticking things off your to do list. You want to be effective as well as efficient - working on the right things that are aligned with your goals and vision.
Today I'm chatting with my friend and podcasting mentor Ellen Ronalds Keene all about how podcasting can benefit your business.
Ellen was instrumental in supporting me to get my podcast up and running in a way that was sustainable and fun.
Ellen (she/her) is an educator, coach, podcaster and podcast producer who works from home on Gaibal country in what is now known as Toowoomba, QLD, Australia.
Ellen spent a decade as a teacher before making the shift into the online business world.
She has followed her passions for education, online communication and health, and now splits her time between her teacher wellbeing support business Self-Care for Teachers, and podcast production agency, Perk Digital.
Key points in this episode: * Podcasting has numerous benefits for businesses, whether you host your own or guest on other podcasts * Podcast content has a much longer lifespan than social media posts and can continue to be leveraged months or years after it was created * Podcasting can be an excellent way to create warm audiences as you prepare to launch and also for your evergreen products and services as it builds the know like trust factor * While podcasts do take a lot of work, they're relatively simple to get up and running without burning out or spending a lot of money on fancy equipment
We hear a lot about consistency in the online business world. We have to email our lists consistently, post on SM consistently....
But here's the thing.... as women we are not made to be consistent!
In this episode we chat about how to use your cycle to be consistent, without having to actually be consistent.
For most of my life I was a complete control freak...
I planned everything to the most minute detail as a way to control the outcome.
I lived in fear that things wouldn't go to plan, and so I invested so much of my time and energy into trying to make sure it did. It wasn't just about the plan, but it was planning for all of the possible outcomes and if this happened then do this or if this happens then do that.
I became paralysed by all the planning without taking much action... And it was freaking exhausting!
And this is the shadow side of planning. When we use it as a means of control.
So in today's episode I shared some of my journey of learning to let go of my addiction to control.
Planning can kinda get a bad wrap.
And yeah I get it, not everyone is a natural born planner like me!
But without a plan it can be so easy to get lost in the doing without actually working on the things that actually matter.
So in this episode we're busting some of the common myths about planning.
Ever been through a phase in your business where it felt hard, you lost your motivation and inspiration, and things just weren't flowing?
I think we've all been there right? I know I certainly have.
So in this episode I want to share the ways I get myself out of a business rut
Key points in this episode: 1 - Check where you are in your cycle, don't make any rash decisions in the week before your period is due! 2 - Are you working in alignment with your cycle? If not, then what tweaks can you make to make things a little easier on yourself? 3 - Our businesses have seasons too. Recognise and embrace the season you're in 4 - Create the space to go within, to review and realign. It's not always easy, but it always works.
When we make big changes to our lives we often expect certain things to change, that's why we do it after all. But often it's the unexpected things that we didn't anticipate that can have a huge impact.
In this episode I share 7 of the unexpected things I've learnt since syncing my business and life with my cycle.
1 - It's an exercise in standing your ground, setting and honouring boundaries, and learning to say no 2 - Some people won't understand and will thing you're crazy 3 - The easiest changes are often the hardest to make 4 - It will impact everything in your life in some way 5 - It's easier than you think, but it requires conscious thought 6 - You develop a great sense of self-awareness, but there is no where to hide from yourself anymore 7 - Sometimes you wish you could go back to "before" because it feels like it would be easier
In today's episode I'm breaking down some of the marketing buzz words I've observed over the last while and what they mean.
Intention, alignment, and connection are kind of big buzz words when it comes to women in the online business world. These words get sprinkled in SM captions, sales page copy, emails.
And, somewhat ironically, I do wonder if people are being intentional with their use of these words or they're using them as fluff and filler without much meaning behind them....
So today I wanted to break down what they actually mean to ME, and why I use them in my content and copy.
Key points in this episode: * Intention - being conscious and considered about the actions you take, the decisions you make, what you say yes to and what you say no to * Alignment - taking action that is in integrity with your values or is taking you towards your goals * Connection - building genuine relationships with your audience, engaging and having conversations
In this episode I interviewed my mentor Stasha Washburn, the founder of Period Coaching School.
Stasha's life’s mission to end the taboo around menstruation for women. From little things like marketing to make women feel shame, to the death’s of women each and every year due to this taboo.
Stasha is a period coach, business mentor, author of the Revolution will be Bloody, and the Founder of The Period Coaching school.
Planning your next launch and wondering what free resources and lead magnets work best?
Do you run webinars, a challenge, a virtual summit, or some combination of the 3?
In this episode we cover the pros and cons of each.
Key points in this episode: * The purpose of your launch is to take your potential clients on a journey so they know what it feels like to work with you, the value you provide, and the transformation that is possible, so that clicking the ‘buy now’ button is a no brainer for them. * Live lead magnets are one of the best and easiest way to convert people into paying clients. * Choose the option that will allow you to really show up and give value by being you. You are what they came for, so show up, shine, and give a tonne of free value.

Do you get to the end of your launches and then just stop? I mean, the hard work is done right? What if I told you the success of most launches doesn’t actually come from what you do during your launch? That it actually comes from what you do between your launches?
Key Points in this episode: * Be visible between your launches * Create consistent content with a focus on giving value * Keep growing your fan base * Keep talking about what you do so people know how they can work with you * Review your last launch to understand what worked and what didn't * Plan out your next launch

Feeling confused about the best way to get sales for your course or membership? Should you create an evergreen funnels, or is it better to do a launch? What works better? What is easier? Then tune into this week's episode.
Key Points in this episode: * A launch is a specific period of time where you are promoting your offer vs an evergreen funnel which is always available * Launches generally mean you will have an influx of new clients and income at once, where as an evergreen funnel can bring a more consistent and steady stream of income into your business over time * Which is right for you will depend on your style and the product you're selling.

The online business world is both the most amazing opportunity for introverts, and also scary AF.
Because having an online service based business means we have to be visible in order to make sales, and for a lot of us that is outside our comfort zones.
In this episode I share 4 of my strategies for getting more comfortable and confident being visible online.
How do you set yourself up for success in your launches?
I'm not just talking about the practical steps... how do you take care of and nourish your mind, body, and soul?
Because its what we do everyday, not every once in a while, that set the foundations for success
Have your last few launches not reaped the rewards you wanted?
Is it possible you were subconsciously sabotaging your launch success?
In this episode I talk about the 5 most common launch sabotages I see, and some ways you can support yourself to let go of them in your next launch.
In this episode we dive into understanding why planning your launch is key to launch success.
Now if you've been more of a wing it and pray kinda gal then this episode is for you.
Creating a plan for you launch allows you to be intentional with your time and energy. Your plan will give you the aligned action steps to take that will move you towards your launch goals.
Without a plan it’s easy to sit down each day and be busy, but not necessarily on the tasks that need your time and attention now, or that are going to move you towards making sales.
No matter how much structure you love, or don’t love, it’s possible to create a plan that works for you, yes even if you’re more of a free spirit

Welcome to the Launch with Flow Podcast!
A weekly show for purpose driven women who are ready to embrace a feminine approach to launching their signature course, program, or service with ease and flow.
This podcast is for you if you've ever wished launching and online business could feel easier. That you could do it without the need to hustle or constantly be on the hamster wheel trying to make progress.
We'll be exploring all things cycle awareness and intuition, combined with the more practical aspects of business like systems, workflows, planning, and tech. Because we need the balance of both energies to reach our goals.
Too much of the more feminine energy can mean you have a lot of amazing ideas and feel really inspired, but the world never gets to see them because you don't take any action.
On the flip side, too much of the more masculine energy can mean you keep pushing and taking action that is out of alignment with your big business vision.
The show will a combination of short sharp and value packed episodes designed to educate and empower you to change the way you plan and run your launches, and guest interviews with other inspiring women in the online business world.
I'm your host Laura from Laura in Order. Systems Queen, Cycle Awareness Coach, and lover of launches. Over the last few years I have been on my own journey from corporate burnout and adrenal fatigue, to online business consultant, learning to do business in a way that feels easy, grounded, organised, and most importantly fun.
In the next episode I'll be sharing more about who I am and why I'm so passionate about teaching women to understand and embrace their cycles and to create a business that works for them.
This is an inclusive community for ALL women and menstruaters. If you don't have a menstrual cycle you can still apply all of the same principles we discuss using the phases of the moon instead.
