Hello and welcome to the first episode of the “Hello Future” podcast in which I’m joined with Reece Kenney an ex-student of mine who’s now 25 and working as a software engineer at Microsoft. Reece provides a great insight into his career, things he’d do differently if he had his time again and provides some fantastic advice about learning and getting that seemingly elusive position at one of the big tech companies such as Microsoft.

Hello and welcome to the “Hello Future” podcast, where I chat to some of my past students who have gone on to have amazing careers within the tech world. My name’s Kevin Gregson, I’m a secondary school computing teacher currently based in Leicestershire in the UK and have taught ICT, computing and computer science over the last 15 years so I’ve been privileged to have worked with lots of fantastic youngsters. Some of which are now all grown up and have carved out some fantastic computing related careers for themselves. I’m really keen to know what they’re up to now, so I’ve tracked some down via LinkedIn and invited them onto the podcast to share their journey’s with you. Hopefully these chats may inspire your career pathways after school and provide some insight into what it’s like in the 'real world', which I hope will open your mind to careers that you may not have considered or even knew existed.
