Building a successful business shouldn't mean sacrificing your health in the process.
In this episode of The Kirk Miller Podcast, Kirk breaks down three essential skills every founder, CEO and business leader needs to stay in shape while dealing with the demands of running and growing a business.
The reality is that your diary won't always be predictable. There will be travel, meals out, long days, unexpected problems and periods where training and nutrition can't be perfect. The answer isn't waiting for life to become less busy. It's developing the skills to stay consistent when it isn't.
Kirk explains how to make better food decisions when travelling or eating out, how to train effectively when time and equipment are limited, and how to adapt when your normal routine gets disrupted.
The goal is to create a health and fitness strategy that works alongside your business rather than competing with it.

Feeling tired all the time isn't normal.
Too many business owners and high performers accept low energy, constant stress and burnout as the price of success. The reality is, your energy is one of your greatest assets—and if you don't manage it, every area of your life suffers.
In this episode of The Kirk Miller Podcast, Kirk shares the simple six-step framework he uses to help clients identify what's giving them energy, what's draining it, and exactly what to change.
Rather than adding more to your already busy schedule, this episode encourages you to strip things back, assess the fundamentals, and make small adjustments that deliver a huge return.
Whether you're struggling with fatigue, feeling overwhelmed, or simply want to perform at a higher level, this framework will help you regain control.
In this episode you'll learn: * Why managing energy is more important than managing time. * The six areas that determine your energy and stress levels. * How better planning creates more consistency and less overwhelm. * The nutrition habits that fuel performance instead of draining it. * Why movement creates energy—even when you feel tired. * How recovery impacts your productivity, mood and decision-making. * Practical ways to reduce stress without slowing down. * Why your environment shapes your habits more than willpower. * A simple Keep, Stop, Start exercise you can complete in minutes. * How small changes can dramatically improve your physical and mental performance.

You already know what to do.
Train. Eat well. Move more. Sleep better.
So why do so many people still struggle to stay in shape, full of energy and consistent year-round?
In this episode, Kirk explains why information isn't the problem, your standards are.
You'll learn how to stop relying on motivation, define your minimum non-negotiable standards, and build a system that keeps you progressing even when life gets busy.
In this episode: * Why awareness without implementation is pointless * The difference between your highest standards and your minimum standards * Why most people only execute when conditions are perfect * The simple framework for staying consistent across all 52 weeks of the year * Why lowering your volume and increasing your intensity can produce better results * How becoming a dad changed Kirk's training—but not his standards * The question everyone should ask themselves: Are my current standards enough to meet my expectations?
If you're tired of starting over every few months, this episode will help you build standards that last.
Most people don't struggle because they lack knowledge. They struggle because they lack accountability.
In this episode of The Kirk Miller Podcast, Kirk explains why accountability is the missing link between knowing what to do and actually doing it consistently. Whether your goal is to lose body fat, build muscle, improve your health, or perform better in business, accountability creates the standards, structure and feedback that keep you moving forward when motivation inevitably disappears.
Kirk shares why so many ambitious people continue to start over despite having more information than ever before, and how measuring your progress, raising your standards and surrounding yourself with the right people can completely change your results.
This isn't about relying on someone else forever. It's about creating a system that keeps you accountable until the behaviours become part of who you are.
In this episode you'll learn:

Nutrition has become far more complicated than it needs to be.
Most people know they need to eat better. They've tried meal plans, calorie tracking apps, cutting carbs, cutting fats, fasting, and every new diet trend that promises faster results. Yet despite all the information available, food remains the biggest obstacle standing between them and their goals.
In this episode of The Kirk Miller Podcast, Kirk shares a simple framework that removes the overwhelm from nutrition and makes food management far easier to understand and apply.
Whether your goal is fat loss, building lean muscle, improving performance, preparing for a HYROX event, or simply optimising your health, this episode explains why focusing on one key variable can simplify the entire process.
Kirk breaks down the role of protein, fibre, fats, and carbohydrates, explaining why most people should keep three of these consistent and only adjust one based on their goals.
Rather than obsessing over exact calorie numbers or constantly changing multiple variables at once, this practical approach provides a repeatable system that can be applied regardless of whether you're tracking food, following a meal plan, or eating on the go.
This episode is designed for busy business owners, leaders, and professionals who want a straightforward way to improve their results without adding more complexity to their lives.

Most people assume that if they can't train, they'll automatically gain weight, lose fitness, and undo years of hard work.
In this episode of The Kirk Miller Podcast, Kirk shares the lessons learned from a period where injury forced him to step away from training and completely rethink his approach to health and fitness.
Instead of focusing on what he couldn't do, Kirk shifted his attention to what remained within his control. Through better nutrition, improved sleep, increased daily movement, and a disciplined mindset, he not only maintained his physique but actually reduced body fat without stepping foot in the gym.
This episode is a powerful reminder that sustainable health isn't built on perfect conditions. It's built on adaptability, self-awareness, and the ability to execute the fundamentals when life doesn't go to plan.
Kirk discusses the importance of accepting setbacks, adjusting expectations, and avoiding the all-or-nothing thinking that causes so many people to abandon their goals when obstacles arise.
He also shares how regular check-ins, accountability, and asking a simple question—"What would a high performer do?"—helped him stay consistent during a challenging period.
Whether you're currently dealing with an injury, a busy season in business, travel, family commitments, or simply struggling to stay on track, this episode will show you how to maintain momentum when circumstances aren't ideal.

This conversation goes far beyond training and nutrition.
It explores the real reason many entrepreneurs struggle to stay in shape: Decision fatigue, lack of accountability, poor environments, and constantly putting themselves last while building everything else around them.

In this episode of The Kirk Miller Podcast, Kirk breaks down one of the most common questions people ask when trying to transform their body:
Can you still drink alcohol and get lean?
The honest answer? Yes — but it comes with consequences, trade-offs, and a level of self-awareness most people avoid.
Kirk shares his own journey with alcohol, including years of binge drinking while still managing to stay lean physically — but realizing over time that his relationship with alcohol was far from healthy, productive, or in alignment with the person he wanted to become.
This episode isn't about telling people they can never drink again. It's about understanding why you drink, what alcohol is costing you, and whether your current habits are helping or hurting your goals.
Inside the episode, Kirk discusses:
This episode is designed to challenge your thinking around alcohol, habits, and self-control — without extremes, guilt, or unrealistic expectations.
Because long-term transformation isn't built through restriction alone. It's built through awareness, discipline, and learning how to align your behaviours with the person you want to become.

The Kirk Miller Podcast is the show for business leaders and peak performers to get into the best physical and mental shape of their lives and unleash from within confidence they never thought possible.
On this episode of The Kirk Miller Podcast, Kirk breaks down why the classic "12-week transformation" model often creates impressive short-term change… and then collapses the moment real life kicks back in.
If you've ever got in great shape for a holiday, wedding, or photos — only to end up back where you started weeks later — this is for you.
In this episode, Kirk covers: * The quick-fix illusion — why short deadlines can create results, but rarely create lasting change * The real goal — not "getting in shape fast," but learning how to stay in shape year-round * Why most people rebound after a 12-week plan ends (and why it's not a willpower problem) * The missing skill: managing food, training, and lifestyle across different seasons of life * Why habits can start quickly… but rarely become automatic inside 12 weeks * The social reality — restaurants, travel, holidays, stress, late nights, and how these derail most "plans" * The identity gap — when your body changes faster than your mindset, old habits pull you back * Motivation vs discipline — why motivation gets the results, but discipline keeps them * Environment and support — why your surroundings and peer group decide your standards more than your plan does
You can make huge progress in 12 weeks. But if the underlying behaviours and identity that created the problem haven't been addressed, you're just renting results — not earning change.

Achieving end-of-year goals requires a realistic, strategic approach.
In this episode, Kirk Miller shares a three-step blueprint designed to help entrepreneurs, business owners, and leaders make November their most productive month yet.
Here's what's coming up...
Cut out tasks, meetings, or commitments that don’t align with your core goals. By eliminating low-impact activities, you’ll clear mental clutter and free up time for high-level strategy and personal growth. Dedicate a 30-minute block each week for reflection and planning to stay aligned with your priorities.
Achieve more by doing less, but with greater focus. Set small, manageable actions that create significant results, such as five minutes of meditation or a brief walk. Consistent micro-commitments will help build momentum and productivity across all areas of your life.
Focus on a task or goal you've been avoiding and break it into smaller, actionable steps. Achieving these milestones weekly will reinforce your identity as someone who takes action, allowing you to make tangible progress in business, health, and personal fitness.
Whether you’re looking to improve your business performance, personal health, or simply finish the year with fewer regrets, this blueprint can help you make meaningful progress in November.

This week on The Kirk Miller Podcast you will learn about the foods Kirk eats to get ripped quicker.
Making better food choices is an investment in yourself. Eating fish, protein shakes, and complex carbs such as sweet potato & brown rice will be a better use of your caloric intake. You will waste a lot of your daily calories on things such as seasonings, sauces and fruits.
As you reduce the amount of calories you eat your body starts to burn fat for energy. The trick to get ripped fast: cut calories from carbs and eat more protein; this feeds your muscles and keeps your calories low.
If you cut too many calories your body thinks it's starving so it starts to conserve fat to store energy, which reduces the rate at which you burn body fat.

This week on The Kirk Miller Podcast you will hear Kirk discuss the top 15 tips for business owners when travelling.
It is important when travelling that you maintain control of your routine as best you can. Do one thing that serves your mind, body, or both, no matter where you are to help you stay out of a reactive state.
Knowing what the situation you are entering will be like also will help you to make better eating and exercise choices. Does this hotel have a gym? Will there be healthy food readily available? Make sure you prepare ahead and don’t use a lack of access to a gym as an excuse. Resistance bands are a versatile way to get a workout in, and doing something is always better than doing nothing.
As well as maintaining your ability to exercise you should also try to eat at home or in the airport before you fly - as the food on planes is full of fats and salt, and very unhealthy. Try to bring good quality food and snacks with you, such as shakes, nuts, and fruit. This will help to keep your protein levels high and avoid making bad food choices.
Stick to your plan and live your life on your own terms in order to be the best and most healthy self.

This week on The Kirk Miller Podcast you will hear Kirk discuss 10 reasons why community is key to long term change.
Being part of a community is key in keeping you on track towards your goals. When we do something for the first time, it feels awkward and uncomfortable, but when we do something with other people it gets easier.
Having a community can help you stay accountable to your goals and dreams. When you know there's a group of people out there who are working on improving their health habits alongside you then you are more likely to continue doing those things as well.
Positive language is critical for long-term change. You want to be sure that the language you’re hearing is positive, because it will affect your motivation, environment, mindset and attitude. The way you think will have an impact on what you say and do -- and ultimately on the actions taken by others.

This week on The Kirk Miller Podcast you will hear Kirk discuss controlling the feelings that cause overeating.
The causes of overeating are not just hunger, but boredom, stress, or tiredness. The best way to control your feelings and make better decisions is to change your state and level of focus.
We often overeat because of our emotions, particularly emotions such as anxiety and stress can lead to eating more. These emotions cause us to crave food and eat more than we really need which leads to weight gain.

This week on The Kirk Miller Podcast you will hear Kirk discuss 15 of the most common bullshit myths you see on social media.
Kirk has seen a lot of people on social media selling dreams and promoting things that just aren't true.
Social media has become very good at making people believe things that aren't true or even scientifically proven. Kirk will be looking at some common myths you might see on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, and explaining why they're wrong. Most of these were started by well-meaning people who saw a problem and wanted to help, but ended up doing more harm than good and creating stories to easily convince people into buying their training, meal or supplement plans.
Don't believe everything you read on the internet. "To get a great body, you don’t have to lift weights." You need to lift weights to have a great body. The truth is, lifting weights will help with strength training and building muscle. “You can still eat what you want and lose weight” It is not possible to eat all your favourite foods and stay lean; you will quickly realise how calorie dense your favourite foods are and not remain in a caloric deficit.

This week on The Kirk Miller Podcast you will hear Kirk discuss the 7 habits of healthy successful business people. Success leaves clues. Despite how busy entrepreneurs and business owners are their traits, habits, rituals and routines make them eat better, train better, be more effective and more productive.
Successful people all have a distinct morning routine. They live by the phrase “win the morning, win the day”. What you do in the morning is the catalyst for how your day will go. By focusing on your mind, body or both first thing in the morning you work on your own personal agenda before anyone else’s.
Kirk explains why you should journal daily as it is a key part of personal development. It reminds you of your motivation, mission and purpose. It will make you evaluate things better and be more grateful for what you have.
Kirk highlights the strengths of having a night time routine. You finish the day on your terms. Highly successful and healthy people schedule for the day ahead of them by planning for exercise, meals and everything in between.
Consistency in all these areas of life will lead to these habits becoming automatic behaviours making you more organised, focused and disciplined.

This week on The Kirk Miller Podcast you will hear Kirk discuss 3 main reasons why diet plans fail especially if you travel a lot for business or you are an entrepreneur. Diet plans are limiting; they don’t teach you how to manage your food choices correctly. When you’re on holiday or away from home and off your diet plan you may eat more treats and unintentionally increase your calories which will add more fat to your body.
High performers and excessive type individuals are prone to spiralling out of control when it comes to eating habits as they have an all or nothing mentality. A better way to look at the all or nothing mentality is to have structure for how you eat and create habits for consistent progress.
We all have off days but the thing is to not let one day define the resulting days and weeks.
Plan every week so you are not in a reactive state every weekend. How you manage your Friday to Sunday is what will get and maintain your results. You need to learn to manipulate calories in order to allow for the cheat days & meals. Kirk encourages you to eat as much real food as possible. Think about the time of day you like to eat, what things you enjoy eating, is it easier to meal prep ahead of time or to use a nutritional meal delivery service. When stress is high intelligence is low and for a lot of people food is that short term reward, it is important that you take control of this. The more you control your emotional state the more you control your fat loss.

This week on The Kirk Miller Podcast you will hear Kirk discuss the 10 secrets to keeping abs year round. It is vital that you are consistent and intentional when training. Training hard is one of the key ways to get leaner and get you one step closer to having the body you want.
Nutrition is also of high importance Kirk recommends that you focus on eating real food year round, so that your diet is easier to maintain and is adaptable to whatever situation you find yourself in. In addition to this eating at a caloric deficit and staying hydrated whilst exercising regularly will lower your body fat.
Kirk highlights the importance of getting proper rest; he sleeps 7 hours a night and suggests you to also get the appropriate amount of sleep.
Kirk believes it is essential for you to follow through on what you have said and promised yourself you’re going to do. He encourages you to write a big statement that describes your dream with the words ‘I am’ and who you want to become. It is vital that this statement helps you to achieve your why in life.
Kirk states why having a morning routine is critical because if you win the morning you win the day! As well as this it is critical that you plan your week so that you are able to make time for the things you need to do and the things you want to do such as socialising and relaxing. It is great to have fun but it should never be at the expense of how you want to look physically or feel emotionally. Kirk encourages you to never get complacent or lazy on the journey to your goals. Always remind yourself the reason why you are doing what you do.
