Logical Love

Curious exploration of all things love. Because what good is any philosophy, enlightenment or idea if it doesn’t have room for love? Not all love is logical, some just lustful—and that’s fine, if that’s what you want. But if you want to have love that’s built to last it needs trust and lust together, I call this logical love.

In this episode my girlfriend Joana and I discuss 5 logical things we practice for a great relationship. Follow me on ig @lovelogician and let me know what you think.

We use logic to improve almost every aspect of our lives— but for some reason we feel icky to apply it to love. Mental health, physical health and much more are consistently grown healthier by using sound logic and accurate data. The same is true in our love lives.

Just as we don’t need to completely logical understand every aspect of physical fitness to start see growth in our bodies, we also don’t need to make love 100% logical for it to empower our life. Scientific research shows us that the more you know, the more questions and mysteries you discover.

Using logic for love isn’t about removing the mystery from love, it’s about empowering us to experience it in a healthy and true way.

You can make great sex with many humans, but make a great life with very few. I don’t know if there’s “the one” for you, but logically there’s not many you can experience lust and trust with. This is where logic comes in, because we only have so many days to live and so many f*cks to give. If we don’t use logic we can waste our life pursuing lust while desiring a lasting love we can trust.

So here’s 5 logical things you can practice for a great relationship.

You got tricked into being the nice guy that women rarely fuck and never respect.

I’m not sorry.

I know the culture (media?) is telling you that feelings are facts, women can fuck like men and men can cry like women— but it’s a lie. And you’re being tricked.

You’re at least 200 lbs and about 6 ft tall, you weren’t in an abusive relationship with her— you’re in a an abusive relationship with yourself.

If you fell for a bunch of “I don’t want anything serious” situationships— but then feel like men were deceiving by ghosting after they fuck you in 3 dates.

You got tricked, I’m not sorry.

Now that I caught your attention - ponder - would you want me to feel sorry for you or to help you? Because I plan to help, not to say sorry, a prayer, and send you home. Now sometimes, uncomfortable things are the most valuable, but also the harder ones to listen to.

In this episode we discuss one of the most common confusions in our search for love: the difference between The-Brain and The-Name. Review the podcast or let me know what you think on Instagram @LoveLogician

When talking about love, sometimes I can say “I love you” but mean it in that lustful, hormonally evolved way. This is The-Brain urging along this ancient act of our ancestors: make babies. I did this when I was 16 and loved a women, who was still a girl I didn’t know. The-Brain wants short-term hedonistic pleasures now, with little regard about what consequences that will have in the future. However, there’s also something in me that wants more than pleasure.

This is what I call “The-Name”, and it’s the part of the “I” we can grow with thoughts like “I am a vegan”, “I am committed to x” or “I am a Christian”, “I’m yours” and “I love you.” The-name is like the words you type into the ancient search engine of The-Brain. Just as creatures repeat actions to habit, Humans can repeat thoughts to habits. Habits then become an individual beings destiny.

We can change The-Name by choice, by changing our habits, adjusting to what we’ve learned. We cannot change The-Brain — it will always be there playing in the background — however we can choose to act (or not act) on it, to feed it or soothe it. Even though I’m sharing these concepts here with you, trying to define The-Name or The-Brain, is like trying to peel an onion to find a center seed - you’ll end up in tears with empty onion-smelly hands. There is I believe, value in exploring The-Name and contemplating the existence of The-Brain so we can best choose our own individual path.

During my interactions on social media and in person, at times I am labelled as “sexist”. Admittedly it is easier to get my point across during a conversation at a park than it is by typing comments on social media.

I don’t think I am sexist, I am trying to be true, rather than sell a convenient lie (and one that does sell!). A coach that fathers would love for their daughters to have, but f*ckboys (and some women) will hate.

Please listen and dm or comment how I can word this better, or let me know which points don’t make sense/ are confusing.

Porn is a business thriving off of pandering to men’s sexual desires. Like hunger, these desires aren’t bad because they are natural, but they can be done badly— usually by way of doing them unnaturally.

In this episode we discuss the exploitation of women through the lens of modern dating.

“The only thing I know is that I know nothing, and I’m not sure I know that.” Socrates

Look around the world today and you’ll see a certain spiritual sickness. It corrodes mental health, physical health and, the focus of this article — love.

What we see now, many of our wisest spiritual leaders have seen before.

Buddha, Socrates, Jesus and Muhammad are known around the world to be some of the wisest spiritual minds the world has ever grown.

But none of them wrote books, sold courses or offered retreats. By all accounts, they saw a suffering world of humans and wanted to help— and began an honest pursuit to the aim.

You can make love with anyone, but a great life with very few.

Logical love is not the 1 night stand a Trump supporter can have with an ardent socialist—they can make love, but to think they can make a life is illogical.

Logical love is not about getting more dates and more sex— it’s about having more fulfilling, meaningful and lasting love.

1 night stands, fwb, situationships, hookups and sneaky links can make love— and it’s not bad—but that love is illogical and not built to last.

Logical love is having sexual lust together with spiritual and intellectual trust. If you want to have a life of lasting romance you’ll need these two to dance together in your relationship.

It’s illogical to think you can make a life with everyone you can make love with, regardless of sexual chemistry.

Our podcast explores— with curiosity, not dogma— dating, sex and relationships to avoid the illogical love that never lasts and grow the lasting love of sexual, intellectual and spiritual fulfillment.
