InvestAway is a long distance real estate investing community focused on helping people build wealth. Our goal is to bring the community value by helping each member reach their investment goals. We do this by creating a community that fosters accountability, and useful networking connections. We also add value with a carefully orchestrated curriculum filled with meaningful and useful content, learning & social events, and hands-on education.
This is a very exciting episode. This is the first time we got someone on the show who is doing exactly what it is we always talk about!
Today we interviewed Nicole Oka. Nicole lives in California, but she invests in the Tennessee area! Nicole has been investing out of state for a couple of years now, and she'll be the first to tell you it hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows. Nicole did an immaculate job of letting us under the hood to see what the life of a full-time professional plus part-time real estate investor really looks like. Her transparency is unmatched!

Wow. Today's episode is filled with so much knowledge, experience, and perseverance. Renee is one incredible woman who is not scared to take action. When her mind is made up, she's going to attack her goal head on. She's a true believer that continuously putting one foot in front of the other will get you to where you want to go.
Renee has a fascinating story as to how she got in to real estate investing. To sum it up, Renee flips properties with partners. She's the boots on the ground; they fund the projects. It's a very unique style of real estate investing that we know will at the very least interest you!

This week at InvestAway, we are focusing on scaling your Short-Term and Mid-Term Rental business! As part of that, we interviewed the amazing Julie Gates! Julie not only started her STR/MTR right in her own backyard, but she now also manages rentals around the country with her company “Sid Was Here”! From managing her first STR which was her pool house, to slowly expanding into new markets, and most recently purchasing a hotel, it is safe to say that she knows a thing or two (or three) about managing and scaling in the short term rental space!
