"I am not a perfect human being, I am not a perfect mother. And for a long time I wouldn't even open up about this topic because I wanted to be perfect. I want to be perfect for my parents, I want them to be proud of me. I want to be perfect for my kids, I want to be perfect for my partner, for my boss, for myself, my ego, and my own interest. But the truth is I don't think I am the best mother"

"When I had my daughter at 18, was that a sacrifice or a hard choice? For me, in the moment, it didn't feel like I was making a sacrifice. It was more so, i felt so strongly about having my baby, and that I could do it all, and I would pull it off - it was just a hard choice I had to make, but it didn't feel like a sacrifice. It just felt like something I HAD to do."

"I've always had that. I've always felt insecure about some of my decisions and while I'm really proud of where I come from; I always feel like I'm playing catch up, because I had a baby at a young age, because I started my career late, because everything took so long."

"I'm going through a season of my life right now where, there might be a little confusion on what next steps are, where I am in life. There is a little confusion on moral values, I thought I was so high and mighty and I'm not. I'm a human being just like everyone else. And things happen to you in life to knock you off your high horse and get grounded."

We need to give ourselves permission.. permission to change our minds, permission to have new dreams, and to give ourselves permission to manifest new dreams into our lives.  No matter our age.. no matter how many years we have working towards a certain goal. In this episode I talk about what manifesting can look like and how I personally manifest things into my life.

I know who I am and I don't need anyone's approval. I'm not taking anyone's criticism for more than what it is - it's just feedback. It doesn't define me so why would i take it personally?

Regardless of the distance regardless of the changes and shifts that have happened over the years, we are still very much there for each other.  This is where we learn what community is. This is where we learn what closeness is. What a support system looks like ..this is where we learn what friendship looks like.  It's a place of second chances and grace.

No one is obligated to help you, but you owe it to yourself to ask for it when you need it.   This episode is about the stigmas that asking for help can have in Latine communities and my own personal journey of learning to ask and receive help.
