Euranet Plus Panorama is a weekly news review that showcases our network’s wide-ranging coverage of EU-related stories. Euranet Plus is a network of 13 European radio stations from 13 EU countries. Whether national or local, public or private, large or small, their views on European news offer a rich tapestry of perspectives.
Online platforms must do better, says tech policy chief, but education and regulation are also key to keeping democracy alive in the age of AI.

This week, our radio members look at the debates surrounding the enlargement of the free movement area to Romania and Bulgaria, and the new wave of migration on the Western Balkan route.
Currently, 26 European countries are members of the Schengen area, of which 22 are EU members. Romania and Bulgaria are among the four states - together with Croatia and Cyprus - that are legally bound to join the area in the future. While in practice the two countries have met all the EU's border management criteria for more than a decade, they are still waiting at the door.
