Paul says something that to modern sensibilities might be considered prejudiced. "One of their very own prophets said, Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons. 13 This testimony is true. So, rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith."
Our culture thinks such statements to be prejudiced and hateful. But is it true? As Sean and Patke dive into this topic, we would do well to ask if Paul was racist and how do such statements need to be understood and applied.

You might have heard this in the sharing of the gospel. "Behold I stand at the door and knock." This is often used in a way to tell someone that Jesus is right now knocking on the door of your heart right now. Will you let Him in? It is amazing how little we know about human trafficking and the little we do know is often questionable at best. When we hear about it, we think of things like stranger danger or the creepy white van. But the reality of human trafficking is well beyond these things. Patheos.com once again challenges the Christian. When is the end of all things? According to Jesus, no man knows the day nor the hour (Mark 13:32). During the COVID lockdowns, many Christians quoted Matthew 22:21 saying, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to God the things that are God's." in order to maintain obedience to those lockdowns and close church gatherings. As you look at this current world, so much dramatic change has turned navigating this life into something that can be very difficult. There is a uniquely fascination when we seek to understand evil. One of the most evil characters in all of scripture was Judas Iscariot. God has not revealed everything there is to know about everything visible or invisible (Deut 29:29a). A common complaint against the scripture is the seeming difference between the God of the Old and New Testaments.
