We're a group of friends with a hardcore passion for casual wargaming and hobbying. For too long we've hounded everyone around us with hour long rants about the hobby, so we thought we might hound the whole of the internet instead! We upload one podcast a week discussing hobby topics like rules, lore, sportsmanship, and how to introduce new people to this incredible hobby.
In this week's episode, we start a new miniseries about Conquest factions identities, starting with Nords, we will go over the army's core rules, the pros and cons, as well as a new format for rating the faction to see if its good for new players, experienced players or both! NOTE: Since we recorded this episode more information has been released from Games Workshop regarding the supply issues. A member of the Warhammer Community team has said that they will not be selling more Cursed City for the foreseeable future, and that no new pre-orders for any of their other game systems will be going live for 3 weeks. As we speculated in the video it seems the pandemic is hitting their supply lines hard, but hopefully this 3 week break will help them get back on track.

Joe and John tackle introducing listeners to two of the most well known games in wargaming. With the release of a new Warhammer 40K edition, a drop of new releases overhauling Age of Sigmar, and many people having more indoors downtime than usual, the stage is set for new people to get into the hobby space who may have never heard of it before. So the boys thought that they'd start this podcast at the very beginning of where all budding hobbyists find themselves when looking at their first models; fantasy or sci-fi? And what exactly are both about?
In addition to being the first episode of our podcast it is also the start of our Introduction to Wargaming series, which will (hopefully) walk new players through the process of getting into this incredible hobby. Beginning here with the vaguest of overviews we will move through what type of armies exist, how to pick one that works for you, build a list, and even find your first game!
