Trying something different as my friend Camila and I record this episode in a professional studio! We discuss capitalism, a sense of self that is based on what we possess, career choices, spirituality, family, working in London, studying and how to navigate the intersection of all those subjects being in our 20s and living in Europe. If you like what you heard, make sure to follow me on all social media platforms to not miss out on new episodes! Starting 2024 off right, by talking all things concerning diet culture and myths around dieting!

This time I invited my friend Kerstin onto the show, who is a trained Dietitian and who will provide all kinds of interesting information. As we delve deep into unhealthy myths and standards that have been floating around for centuries, around how and what we consume, how we view ourselves and others, and what is considered a healthy and balanced diet, we discover ways to better one's own relationship with food and our own bodies, in order to spread awareness around all the misinformation that is on the internet!

Trigger Warning: We discuss body image-related issues, weight, food, and more. If you feel uncomfortable with such topics, this episode might not be for you! (Or maybe it can help you despite its triggers <3)

In this episode, I share and reflect on how in the western world, productivity is often linked to one's self-worth and how that influences how we set goals and view structures in life. I also discuss a little bit why goals can also be a hindrance and first and foremost share why I stopped making episodes for such a long time.

In today's episode, my Dad and I speak about why it's so important to trust in yourself and love yourself and how to find your own vision career-wise (or support other people's visions).

I realized that I interrupt my Dad A LOT and I'm very sorry in advance and hope you can learn from his knowledge and enjoy nonetheless. I definitely learned that I have to work on not interrupting and getting my thoughts out as soon as possible, but rather respect what the other person is saying.

I've linked everything we spoke about here:

Hi and welcome to my first Episode of "Curious Mind in Progress"!

Today I talk about what I want to do with this podcast and the timespan after School and before starting Uni or your first real job or whatever you are planning on doing - simply the time where we attempt to find ourselves and what we want to do; and how sometimes we can feel really stuck during that self-exploration.

I hope you like this rather short, traileresque Episode and come back for more!

Make sure you follow me and also check out my Instagram linked in the information box.
