So for the past 2 months I haven’t had a guest on the HDHH. Last month I had a break from the podcast to go on holiday to France which was absolutely lush. We talk about Nick’s music production journey including his official remix of Basement Jaxx’s Red Alert. He helped me to translate some Bristolian phrases which I loved as it’s the most friendly accent in my opinion. Last month I invited Lee Haslam on to the podcast and what a pleasure that was. Lee’s exclusive guest mix was also one of my favourites so far on the Hard Dance Happy Hour. So, if you haven’t checked out last month’s session already, please do.

So this month I had decided to use the Tidyland Weekender as an opportunity to catch up with as many of my previous guests as possible.
I had a quick catch up with 5 lovely humans before I hit some technical issues.

Whilst I can’t use the footage that I did manage to get before the GoPro issues, due to the audio quality, I will be uploading the videos to Facebook and my YouTube channel over the next week so please keep an eye out for those.

I did not want to miss a month of the podcast, So instead of a Tidyland Weekender catch up, I took the decision to record my mix from the Weekender and put this out instead.

**I had the opportunity to play Room 4 on the Friday night at 1am and god was that fun. The feedback I received afterwards literally blew my mind, so thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who stuck out the sweat box to dance to my set.

I can’t quite believe that the podcast is now celebrating it’s 2nd birthday. Where has the time gone? Last month saw the Hard Dance Happy Hour turn ONE! I can’t believe that’s a whole year of doing the podcast. Absolutely Crazy!

When I first thought about starting my own podcast, I wrote down some particulars that I wanted to aim for. WHY was I doing it?

One of my objectives was to chat to up and coming artists, and younger talent of the hard dance scene, DJ’s and producers, and to give them another platform to get their music heard and for people to get to know them a little more personally.

It is so important to encourage and support new / up and coming talent, and something that I am really passionate about.

So this month, I had the absolute pleasure of talking to one of the nicest and most genuine people I have met in a long time. I met him at Frantic's 24th Birthday at Frantic in the Woods in August and he exuded such a beautiful energy, I knew immediately that I had to get him on the podcast (and have him over for dinner).

Phil is one of my favourite Hard Trance DJ's and producers. From starting early on in his DJ career as original resident at Frantic, Phil played at every major venue and promotion in London and across the country. His UK popularity took him to playing across the globe in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Ibiza to name a few.

Phil has worked with some of the best hard dance producers, and his distinctive sound that he is known for with his DJ'ing, is also reflected in his productions.

Team Sly are a husband and wife DJ and production duo from Australia. They have played many sub genres of hard dance music, although in 2017 they decided to focus their energy into hard house and this was the start of a new chapter for Team Sly, running events, DJ’ing and music production.

In 2018 they started their Australian Hard House event, Beatwave, which when lockdown hit, kept many of us virtually entertained allowing us a regular Hard House fix.

After a 15 year break from DJ’ing and production, Jay is back with a huge bang with new tracks signed to Shock Records, Tidy, Frantic Digital and High-Five Digital.

He is well known for his legendary hard house productions and crazy sets back in his heyday between 1998-2005, and was the first signed artist and original DJ for the 12-inch Thumpers.

We chat about all of this, and it wouldn’t be a HDHH chat without some random questions thrown in.

One thing I really love about the fella, is his genuine advocacy for spreading peace, love, unity and respect in our industry wherever he goes.

Welcome back to The Hard Dance Happy Hour. In this session I chat with a good friend of mine, Mobi D (Phil Wale). Phil has been DJ'ing and producing hard dance music for around 25 years, and we talk of his recent return to the dance scene, his new hard dance tracks and his new journey into producing cinematic music, with a new ambient album due out for release very soon which is simply stunning.

Some new amazing news announced by Phil also. His new track which he has co produced with Jason Nawty - Higher Level - has just been signed to the legendary label Tidy Trax.

What a great experience this was to collaborate with Nowhere World. I put together a Hard House / Hard Dance set and the guys created a virtual avatar of me and the most awesome virtual nightclub experience.
