Hunter Baker, J.D., Ph.D. serves as dean of arts and sciences and professor of political science at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. He is the author of three books (The End of Secularism, Political Thought: A Student’s Guide, and The System Has a Soul), has contributed chapters to several others, and has written for a wide variety of print and digital publications. He is the winner of the 2011 Michael Novak Award conferred by the Acton Institute and has lectured widely on religion and liberty. In addition to his work at Union, Baker also serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Markets and Morality and as a contributing editor for Touchstone: A Journal of Mere Christianity. He is also a research fellow of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission.

9/11/2001 shook the world. 2 decades after the terrorists attacks involving the Twin Towers in New York City, The Pentagon, and Flight 93 we still see Afghanistan in the headlines. Hear from 3 individuals who were in very different places 9-11-2001. One was in Bangkok, Thailand, another was actually not far at all from ground zero, and another while very young at the time has been no doubt influenced by this day of horror 20 years ago.
There's a whole lot that could be said that could go on for many hours, but this instead of being a political diatribe this is rather a memorial to those who were killed that day as well as to those who have protected us from other terrorists attacks since then. Hopefully we can continue to learn from it, and hopefully we can find a way to help Afghans left behind in the hands of now highly armed fundamentalists.
