This week, Leah and Bri dive into Let Me In (2010, dir. Matt Reeves), the American remake of Let the Right One In. While this film is pretty well regarded as far as English-language remakes go, we both find it lacking. If you haven't listened to our episode on the original, make sure to check that one out, too! This week Leah and Bri cover a relatively new release, The Last Voyage of the Demeter (dir. André Øvredal, 2023). Taking inspiration from a single passage in the Bram Stoker classic Dracula, this film spins an embellished tale of the last doomed voyage of the cargo ship the titular vampire took over on his way to England. Welcome to our brand new series... "Dracula: Where Is He Now?" Leah and Bri will be periodically releasing parts of this series, which will focus on Dracula's one hundred years of film stardom, over the next few months. Each part will thematically group pre- and post-2000 Dracula films.
