This podcast is all about motherhood. How we can support ourselves better and not self-abandon. I interview experts in the field of mental wellness and highlight transformation from my clients perspectives as well as my own life.
Good morning hot mamas!! I often get the compliment that I am disciplined and I LOVE hearing that. I have worked really hard to develop that trait in myself and I want to share a few tips today so you can increase your discipline and get more of what you want!
Hello my friends! On today's episode I'm sharing a tool I started using just this past week when I found myself really wanting to judge an aspect of my life that I "did not like."
What I know is that I am ALWAYS creating.
Sometimes I'm creating from the conscious "I want this" part of myself and sometimes I'm creating from my unconscious self who has wants and needs that I may not be aware of or am not in alignment with.
The fact is, I am always getting what I want but sometimes it's an UNCONSCIOUS want/need that's being met and when I judge what I have (perhaps some result that my conscious mind is like, ummmm wtf Jennie I don't like this) I am judging the part of me that DOES in deed want it.
How do I know a part of me wants what I have? Because I have it.
And instead of shaming myself to change I've found it more fascinating and loving to dig deep and understand what part of me is getting EXACTLY what she wants even if it seems kinda shitty.
And how might I be fascinated by this.
The look at you tool is meant to bring light into the darker aspects that shame and condemn us for meeting needs in seemingly unhealthy ways.
From this place of self compassion and curiosity we are more likely to change habits, thought patterns, and ways of being that aren't serving us anymore.
Give it a try and let me know your thoughts!
And when you're ready to dive deep into the work that will keep you on the path to what you deeply want for your life, your relationships, and your overall well being click the link below and book a time to talk with me about private coaching ❤️

Hello beautiful friends! I have a solo episode today inspired by a podcast I recently listened to from Ed Mylett on distractions. I started to contemplate how drinking for me was often a distraction from what I really wanted.
My alcohol use kept me from
❌ creating the body I really wanted to have
❌ the connection I longed for in my relationship
❌ and ultimately being brave in my life
When I changed my drinking habit I really altered my ability to take risks and be courageous in my pursuit of my dreams. I came to realize that alcohol allowed me to get something for nothing. Meaning I didn't have to put in any work to feel good. And that type of distraction kept me flying under the radar of my own life.
If you think that you could have MORE of what you wanted if you changed your drinking habit...this episode will help shed some light on this for you!
If you'd like to listen to the podcast I referred to from Ed Mylett you can find it here and the part I found most compelling started at the time stampl 56:26.
Are we connected on the gram yet? If not, let's be besties over there. Find me here!

I'll see you all next week!

Hey hot moms! I wanted to tell you about a concept I thought of that is helping me now in different areas of my life where I have varying levels of resistance.
Resistance is normal! What we do with resistance and our relationship to it determine whether or not we take the actions we say we want to take towards certain goals we have in our life.
Learn how I'm navigating resistance and apply it to an area of your life that feels like a struggle.
Resistance is expected, especially when it comes to habit change.
Of course your brain doesn't want you to change. That's more work for your brain. So of course your brain will offer you resistance. But when you can EXPECT it and know your own language of resistance as well as inner sensations, it makes resistance less, ya know, resist-y.
I'd love to know your thoughts on resistance! Send me a message on instagram!
As always, if you're resonating with what I'm saying and you want help changing some of the habits you have that are keeping you not feeling your sexiest, click the link below and schedule your complimentary Hot Mom Habit Review. Good morning ladies!! In today's episode I teach you a simple process for getting over a fight with your partner. Obvi this is what you would do INSTEAD of using wine to numb out your anger, hurt feelings, or resentment. As much as our brain lurves to tell us that's a good idea after a fight, it really robs us of deeper awareness of ourselves AND the opportunity to LOVE ourselves, SEE ourselves, and create new healthier patterns of communication with the people we love the most.
As always, I encourage you to take the saboteur quiz to find out which of YOUR saboteurs tends to get triggered with your partner. Awareness of our saboteur patterns is the first step towards not only changing our relationship with alcohol, but also our relationship with our partners. You can take the quiz here

Good morning ladies! In today's episode I talk to you about urges and what you can do with urges in order to permanently change your relationship with alcohol. First off, what the hell is an urge you ask? Lemme tell you. An urge is the desire, the WANTING that you feel for a substance or an activity that provides your brain with a lot of dopamine. The higher the amount of dopamine your brain gets from something, the more "urgent" your body will feel to attain that thing. Over time, with a repeated habit, you develop more urges/higher desire for alcohol.
There are 3 ways you can respond to an urge.
You can react to it: you drink alcohol
You can resist it: you use will power to push down the desire
You can allow it: you open up to the uncomfortable sensation of wanting and not having
I give you ways to practice the third option, which is the only sustainable way to change your drinking habit, in the episode. Enjoy!

Hello my ladies. In today's episode I talk about the 3 most common motivations we have for over consuming alcohol. It's so important to understand WHY you're drinking more than you want so you can change from a place of understanding and compassion, rather than judgment and shame.
In the podcast I reference one of the frameworks I use with my clients called Positive Intelligence, created by Dr. Shirzad Chamin, a standford researcher who's worked with 500,000 individuals and teams focusing on mental fitness. You can buy his book here
https://www.amazon.com/Positive-Intelligence-audiobook/dp/B007TXWZDQ/ref=sr_1_1?crid=O6K28E9WACB5&keywords=positive+intelligence+by+shirzad+chamine&qid=1663944820&sprefix=positive+inte%2Caps%2C77&sr=8-1
In next week's episode, I'm going to talk about the 10 saboteurs we all have that are responsible for negative emotions and outcomes we don't desire. Our saboteurs create us drinking more than we want and knowing which saboteurs you engage with most often is KEY to understanding your habit. You can take the saboteur assessment here.

I wanted to update you on where this podcast will be going in the future. As I serve more and more women who want to start their sober curious journey, I feel this podcast is BEST used to support any woman out there who is THINKING about the sober life and the obstacles that might come up along the way.
On this episode I give you a glimpse into my own journey with alcohol, where I am now, and where I see myself going.
I also ask you a few questions you can answer to assess where you are with your own relationship to alcohol and what might be the next best steps for you.
Finally, I want to invite you to join the 10 Day Sexy AF (alcohol free) challenge if you're someone who wants to take a break from drinking AND you recognize there's more to it than simply removing alcohol. My ladies, today's conversation is for anyone going through what feels like a break down. Sophie Shiloh and I have a candid conversation about mental health and our own journeys of mental breakdown. I have a very different view of mental "breakdown" and see things through a spiritual lens. So my language is transferred to reflect that as a mental break-UP.
Systems of thought patterns live within us, mis-creating who and what we are since our birth. When these roots of untruth become unearthed, in order to plant what is new and what is true, our society labels these experiences as mental breakdowns. But that's not what's actually happening and nothing has actually gone "wrong."
One point Sophie and I are clear to make is that your experience in breaking away from the untruth in our minds is the support you have around you as it's happening. She calls it her safety net and I could not agree more with that term.
A "break down" can be supported when you have people around you who know how to hold space for you to process, let go, and become renewed. If you don't have that, the experience can lead to further entanglement in mental un-wellness. This system of safety nets is crucial. We aren't meant to be doing these things alone. Your safety net should support you and help guide you to grounded space. This is the difference between these experiences bringing you into a higher awareness of self vs a lower denser sinking into depression, anxiety, and hopelessness.
Join us today for this beautiful conversation.

Not everyone wants to never drink again. Yet sometimes we "think" this is the only route to go especially when we are escaping narratives of who we think we are because we drink and who we think we will become if we don't. In this profound interview, I talk with my client and friend, Karen Anderson about how clearing toxic shame from her body enabled her to not judge herself for enjoying wine AND decrease her drinking in the process.
Karen is a Master Certified Life Coach who specializes in difficult mother/daughter relationships. She talks candidly about her own relationship with her mother, how that impacted her drinking, and how focusing on what SHE wanted freed her from the black and white thinking we can entrap ourselves in when it comes to alcohol and sobriety.

Today I was inspired by my own revelation that body shame is no longer a part of my journey. As I've healed different layers of my eating disorder over the years, body shame has been the undercurrent of it all. Shame invites so many of us to over drink and it stays with us on the days after we've over served ourselves. For me, drinking allowed me to eat without shame. I could have a few glasses of wine and let the binge behavior begin. Every time, my mind would tell me, "you won't feel bad about this tomorrow" yet every next day, I would.
I'm sharing one puzzle piece today of my drinking journey and how I had to create a healthier relationship with alcohol in order for me to address the deeper issues I had with body shame. One could not be uncovered without looking at the other. As are most of the reasons we drink, our issues are layered and drinking too much is only the symptom of what truly is asking for our attention.
Cheers.
In this episode, Danielle Savory "The Sex Coach for Women" and I talk about the key ingredient to sexual pleasure and no it's not the latest vibrator. We also dive into how alcohol affects your sexual desire, feelings of confidence in the bedroom, and how the both of us first connected to that part of ourselves that was different than the critical voice in our heads. Enjoy my friends!
