Why do we sometimes skip over verses in the bible?  Are we making a mistake when we rush past verses we think we know already?  In this episode AnjuMark shares a meditation on Proverbs 1:10-19, the passage behind the song Flashing Lights.  He discusses the value of struggling to get into verses that seem irrelevant at first.  You can read the full meditation at anjumark.com.

The story of a woman with a very embarrassing and alienating problem, in Mark 5:24-34, shows us what being desperate for God looks like.  Its almost an oxymoron to say "desperate faith".  She was desperate BECAUSE she had faith.  That faith drove her above and beyond the many voices that must have been telling her, it was the wrong time and wrong place to seek Jesus.
