We are aspiring singer-songwriters Aak and Livv: your new music friends and the cohosts of The Songwriters Nest.In the summer of 2020, we were fortunate enough to meet each other on Instagram in the midst of the pandemic. Despite the 6 441 km that separate us from Delhi, India, to Lyon, France, we connected. We created a virtual creative space for each other, a cozy, judgment-free zone, a nest where we can always come back to recharge our creative energy batteries. This podcast extends an invitation to people like us who are longing to connect with other musicians and love the topics we discuss in the nest: songwriting, music, the creative process, growing, and learning as an artist. Hello Music Friends!
If you struggle with overthinking, writer’s block or procrastination, you are not alone. We know, songwriting can be hard sometimes BUT it can also be super fun, right ? In this episode we opted for a playful approach by doing a 2 hour-long songwriting challenge. We discovered that putting contraints on your songwriting and writing with a friend is a great way to make the creative process more fun and efficient. Listen to the episode to hear the valuable lessons we learned from this experience and find out if we were actually able to write a song in two hours. Maybe we did and maybe we shared that song at the end of the episode (no spoilers) ;) Let us know what you think.
