We're back after the holiday break and we're talking about what seems to be everyone's favourite pass time right now, Instagram! How much time do you spend on insta? We're talking browsing, reels, making posts, taking photos, editing videos, adding music, going through filters, finding the perfect caption, sharing your stuff and doing all of the above at the correct time of the day so you get the most views. Add to this the various algorithms that force you to be locked in lest you lose your spot in the material that is thrown up to your followers!  Just talking about this was exhausting but we all still do it. Listen on to find out what we think about insta and how we can optimise usage to benefit your work and personal life balance. Also, @techknowdoc learns a few new things along the way from @aartiasrani. Stay beyond obvious!

Close your eyes and think of the last time you compared 2 people or when you last told someone in your family to be like someone else. Chances are that this must have happened at least once today itself. By default, we are programmed to compare things and people and always look to the greener grasses on the other side of the fence! We take a closer look at the pandemic of comparisons as we try to figure out why we all do it, why is it bad for you and how it can also be good for you!

Along the way, we end up talking about the exams as well and how we inevitably tell our children to be like someone else instead of asking them to be better versions of themselves!

A light listen in for a much needed break.

Everyone's gone bat crazy bringing in pets especially in the lockdown period. In this episode, we address all the new pet lovers, those who have taken the plunge after dreaming about or dreading about owing pets for years. We make sure that we don't forget all those dedicated pet lovers who have always had pets, lockdown or no lockdown, to raise them as their own.

Could pets be the one thing that is missing from your mundane lives or are you like one of us who is happy to be a friend-pet owner (where your friend owns the pet but you get to go play with them whenever you want :-) ) Don't miss the part about one pet eating another! It's a doozy!

Necessity is the mother of all invention, but not all inventions work. We're here to discuss whether online schooling works or is it something we can't wait to get rid of. The most common problem with this form of schooling is to get the child to stay focused and pay attention throughout the virtual school day. I can't pay attention to most zoom calls beyond 20 minutes so how do I expect my child to do so for four to five 45 minute sessions of learning. Who's responsible to make the child pay attention to his classes: The teachers, the parents, the children themselves or is there another answer that we've all missed till now?

Please do hear the whole episode and do get in touch with us for this one. We would love to hear what our listeners think about this topic and we would also love to hear the teachers points of view. So, if any teachers out there want to help us out, please do get in touch. We're @techknowdoc and @aarti_asrani on instagram and we're waiting to hear from you beyond the obvious!

The monsoons are something that everyone has an opinion about. Most love it, some hate it with a passion. All of us wait for the rains to start in the summer to get some respite from the heat, then we wait for it to stop when we get fed up with the potholes, the dirt, the mud, the inconvenience and all the clothes that have to be dried indoors on chairs, racks, sofas, floors and what not.

We try and figure out what drives this intense dislike for the rains when we both love it. Also, believe it or not, we broke out into songs during this episode. Feel free to criticize our croaking and ensure that we don't do it anymore!!

An open discussion on whether you would vaccinate your child as and when the vaccine becomes available. We had different opinions and a few surprises.

It would be an individual choice but ultimately it would be one that would affect the community as a whole.

Can we get back to school if this happens? Would school insist on having the kids vaccinated?

Also, a lot of laughs, a lot of controversial disagreements and a whole lot of fun!
