This was actually supposed to be my comeback episode until I decided to have an entire podcast makeover. I nevertheless wanted to share my birth story with my podcast fam. So here we go. I really go deep on the experience as well as share very honestly what it feels like to be a new mom and whether or not I wish my old life back.

Tell me what you relate with the most over on Instagram and if you are not a parent (yet) then maybe you can save this episode and get back to it later or you just use it as a resource to better understand any new parent in your inner circle.

Would love for you to subscribe as well as rate and review the show if it inspires you.

In this episode, I talk to Racquel Wallen, intuitive fitness coach, on how to heal the relationship with your body by ditching diet culture and finally embracing the uniqueness of your body. She has such a vibrant energy and her approach to fitness coaching finally takes off the pressure of sticking to a restrictive diet plan or workout schedule.

We also talk about:

  • the messed up believe in our society that thinner is better
  • there is not one size fits all when it comes to diet and fitness
  • the myth around fitness marketing phrases (e.g. 1200 calories or 10.000 steps per day)
  • health has nothing to do with the way you look

Approximately 91% of women are unhappy with their bodies and 58% of college girls feel the pressure to be certain weight. Those are disturbing numbers. No wonder, diet culture is a multi-billion dollar industry with more and more companies launching products designed to help you to achieve that 'dream body'. January is an especially precarious time. After the indulgences of Thanksgiving and Christmas, many people set out the intention to get fit once January rolls around. Gyms and other health institutions encourage this 'detox/reset mentality' by heavily advertising how they can help us to get back in shape again. Accompanied by some hard to resist special offerings.

In this episode, Madeleine talks about how she fell victim to diet culture at a very young age and how it has impacted her relationship with her body ever since. She then touches on the principles of intuitive eating. A concept, that teaches you how to get back in touch with your body's signals and hunger cues instead of listening to an outside source.

Happy 2021, everyone! I'm starting this year off with an episode about intuition. Something we can definitely all use after the whirlwind 2020 has been.

  • the hustle mentality of our society + why it prevents us from our uniqueness
  • how I reconnected back to my intuition
  • why it's not neccessarily bad to be privileged
  • the feminine energy
  • healing your relationship to food and your body by tapping into your intuition
