Carmen continues to share her Alzheimer's Story. One of the reasons she is active in the Walk to End Alzheimer's is because she wants others to have the resources that she didn't know were available. When she got all 4 children tucked in bed at night, she spent time on the computer looking for ways to help care for her mom. As soon as she heard about the Walk to End Alzheimer's she signed up over 10 years ago. Her team continues to grow and walks every year. To find a walk near you, go to act.alz.org/walk

Carmen shares her Alzheimer's story over the next 5 episodes. Carmen's mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's while she was a busy mom with 4 children including 2 toddlers. Thankfully she was an LPN and could find resources to help her and her family accept the diagnosis and begin to care for her mom.

Val shares her Alzheimer's Story about when she would visit her grandmother and sometimes she didn't remember her. This is one of the toughest parts of the Alzheimer's journey when our loved one doesn't remember who we are.

Know even if they don't remember you in their mind, they will always remember you in their heart.
