Eva is a renowned cross-examiner and Sonya is the director of Freedom and Justice, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting civil liberties. The POEC was launched in response to the federal government's use of the Emergencies Act during last year's "Freedom Convoy" protests and was tasked with submitting its report to the cabinet and Parliament by February 20th, which is the absolute deadline under the Emergencies Act legislation. However, the POEC has been granted more time to complete its report. Eva and Sonya shared their insights on this development and its implications for the future.
