This is the official podcast of the Office of Campus Ministry at Saints Peter & Paul High School in Easton, Maryland. Join the students, faculty, and staff as they discuss matters of faith and culture!
In this episode, Noah Zimmerman discusses the gift of joy and how we can live with joy and in joy despite the struggles that come our way.
In this week’s Chapel Formation, Nathan Palmer gives a secular understanding of knowledge while offering Biblical insights on how knowledge is understood from a Christian lens.
The DeSpiritus team starts off our new “Chapel Formation Series” (DCFS) discussing hope and how we as Christians live differently because of the hope that Christ gives to us. This reflection features (in order of appearance): Noah Zimmerman, Garett Hemingway, Peyton Williams, and Nathan Palmer.

SSPP HS Men’s Varsity Basketball DeSpiritus members discuss their win against Cristo Rey Jesuit, advancing them to the MIAA C Conference Championship Game on Saturday, February 24, 2024. They end the conversation discussing who Jesus is to them. Hopefully for our boys, they know that Jesus is their Master Coach! Go Sabres!

In this episode of What’s Good, Mikie, Morgan, Leo, and Robert dive into the discernment of spirits. But not exactly the way the Church means it. Our cast this week talks a little bit about Spirit Week, the unscheduled “Senior Skip Day,” and the war that is happening in the Holy Land. Come join us as we discuss the discerning of the spirits that led to our decisions and actions!
DeSpiritus members Morgan and Aaron tell us about their weekend plans and Mikie joins in on a discussion on anxiety in reflecting upon St. Paul’s letter to the Philippians (This Sunday’s Second Reading). We are joined by a surprise “celebrity” guest, birthday boy Vincent! These young people share some great insight and I think we can all take something away about how we deal with our own anxiety. Give it to God!
This past week is the week SSPP HS supports “Talbot Goes Purple,” raising awareness to drug and substance abuse. The DeSpiritus class conducted some literature review and shares what they found with us this week — from the origins of “Talbot Goes Purple” and statistics to what the Church and the community is doing to help those who suffer from addiction and to what schools, specifically, are doing to bring this awareness to students.
If you know anyone who may be struggling with drug or substance addiction, please reach out to them and let them know you are there for them and that they are not alone. Assist them in getting help if they are open to it. The one thing we can all do is pray for them.

The DeSpiritus class grills — interviews, rather, SSPP’s new principal, Mr. Scott Wilson. Mr. Cheung starts off the conversation by asking Mr. Wilson about his role and prior experiences. Following that, Mr. Wilson answers a series of questions from the students.

Congratulations to the Class of 2023! We hear from our graduates who share their feelings, excitement, and words of advice for underclassmen and words of gratitude to Mr. Nemeth, our principal who has served SSPP for the past 23 years. Our Pastor, Fr. Nash also shares some words of advice and gratitude. We assure him of our prayers and extend our deepest gratitude to him as he embarks on a new adventure.
Ashley, Evan, Morgan, Ryan, and Mr. Cheung recalls the encounter between Jesus and His good friend Lazarus who dies from an illness. Join them as they share their experiences with suffering and the last time they, like Jesus, cried.

Juniors Cadence, Mikie, David, Aaron, and Connor discuss the importance and significance of the Ring Mass with Mr. Cheung and what receiving their class ring symbolizes in terms of their role within the school community.
N.B. This episode was recorded on Friday, February 24, 2023. Our Men’s Varsity Basketball Team competed on Sunday, February 26, 2023 in the MIAA Championship Game. Although, they did not win the title, they played well and had an amazing season. We are most proud of them!
