They go over not just the physical but the mental benefits from being in the program and the community aspect from the class.

Here at Momentum, we are always looking for ways to reach out to the community and we now have our very own run club. The run club is free to the community and is for all ages and abilities. At each run club we will have multiple trainers attending that will guide you on the run, and answer any fitness related questions that you may have!

Sudden cardiac arrest in youth is a silent killer and WWPF is leading the charge for accessible, affordable and preventable healthcare. Melissa is in charge of hosting screenings in the St Johns county area for youth entering or in high school and as of this podcast, the screening is being written into law for high school athletics. This will be the second year of this program which works with girls from pre-teen to middle school and high school. Today I sit down with Blayne and we talk about his new program that is rolling out here at Momentum. The program, Empower, will be a lifting program for females focusing on the squat, bench, and deadlift. Under his guidance, they will get training and form advice as they work towards the opportunity to compete at a powerlifting meet, or just see what their bodies are capable of. For those who haven't been exposed to this style of training, but would like to get stronger and focus more on the barbell lifts, this is a great opportunity!

In our latest Top 5 podcast series, we discuss our favorite exercises for aesthetic purposes. For those unfamiliar, these are movements that emphasize features of the body to maximize muscular development. These movements, while also able to improve strength, and endurance, are usually maximized in a bodybuilding type workout or can actually be added in to a performance based program to help with injury prevention and/or add balance to a lifting program.
