The Unveiling is a podcast that focuses on a range of spiritual topics that affect the lifestyle of growing believers. This podcast is co-hosted by Folu Seton and Komi Lasisi. We hope that our podcast brings grace to the listeners and all of our content is laced with hope and love found in Christ.
As Christians, we have died to the things of this world. We live in this world, but we are not of the world. As Christians, our lives are hidden in Christ and He has promised to keep us till that perfect day.

People generally assume that the greatest people in heaven are those firebrand men of God who have cast out one million demons and saved half of mankind. While all these are not in themselves bad, the pride and sense of entitlement that may develop is not. Jesus knew this and said instead that we should humble ourselves and be as innocent as children, inquisitive bold and unassuming. This is what he requires. And desires from us.
Today Komi and Folu are joined by Deborah Uche. They talk about how we are to have childlike faith in God and trusting him completely. They also warn against the dangers of believing one is sufficient enough in oneself. We are to ascribe glory to God, and God alone.

As human beings, we worry constantly about everything, even things where we already know the outcome. Anxiety is no stranger to anyone.
And yet, Jesus tells us to not worry. He shows us through his miracles that God will provide for us, in the ways we least expect it. These stories are recorded to serve as a constant reminder to us that He is as invested in our lives as we are and He doesnât intend to withhold any good thing for us.
âI was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.â - Psalm 37:25

There are usually two types of Christians you find. The Peters, who have, essentially, known Jesus all heir lives. They grew up in a Christian home, attended fellowship and never strayed too far from the fold. Then there are Pauls. These ones lived a full life of sin and then encountered God in a life changing way. Which one are you? In this episode, Komi and Folu are joined by Miranda Taylor, an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God Church. She highlights the strengths and weaknesses of Paul and Peter, and reminds us of whatâs more important than anything: our assurance of salvation.

As always, we use the example of Christ, who, despite the stubbornness and obvious hostility of the people He was called to save, was overflowing with love and willingly shared it with everyone He came across, even the thief on the cross. This Good Friday, may we always be reminded to love, as He has loved us.

Why do we preach the Gospel? Is it for Godâs name to be praised, to further the spread of the Gospel, or for your own selfish desires?
In this episode, Komi and Folu talk about the times that they had preached the gospel for their own personal motives, and not necessarily to the Glory of God. They point out the fact that everything we do in this life either pleases God, the devil or ourselves.
