This Podcast is going to be all things Amarillo PD and the community. A little true crime, some crime prevention, neighborhood watch and neighborhood policing, recruiting and anything else you can think of. If you want to know something about the Amarillo, Tx PD, we are going to talk about it.
In this episode, Sgt. Burr and Cpl. Ogden talk with Lt. Clements, APD Homicide commander and Sgt. Joel Hodges, the new Cold Case lead detective. We talk about some recent changes and what they are doing. We then talk about the Gonzalo Zubia cold case from November 27, 2021.
Sgt. Burr and Cpl.Ogden interview the Academy Sgt, Sgt. Ogden. We talk about the next women's recruiting event, training and working with women in LE, and then just answer FAQ's about how to prepare to join the Amarillo PD.

Linda's two daughters, ages 7 and 9 at her death, also join us. Casey and Christian Jackson are impressive women who live life to the fullest. Gloria Covington was a loving and hardworking mom, found stabbed to death near the North Branch YMCA on August 5, 1997. Sgt. Burr and Cpl. Hilton interview cold case detective, Jimmy Rifenberg and Gloria's 3 daughters about the case. They talk about the application process, why they chose to be officers and why the Amarillo Police department, and a little bit about what they want to do when they get out of the Academy. He talks about all the opportunities he has had in his career at the Amarillo PD. He also gives some important dates to know if you are thinking about applying for the 100th APA.
