There are forces guiding you at this time. Depending on your belief system, this might be your higher self, God, the Universe, or something else. Healer
Being able to call on her nurturing support is fundamental to your survival. She's always close by, but if you are unwell and continue to ignore her wise promptings, your pain will be exacerbated.
The Healer kneads your muscles. Her hands are soft and strong as she releases the dark cells of trauma long held within your body. She smells of lemongrass and tamarind, and you can feel the warmth of her breasts pressed gently against your back. She absorbs and absolves the burden of guilt and sadness that tortures you; your chest opens and you can breathe deeply. She asks you the questions you need to answer.
When you are exhausted from striving but continue to push yourself, she encourages you to put down your tools and rest. When you cannot sleep, she closes your eyes. And if you are prepared to listen, she will teach you how to let misfortune harmlessly pass by.
And when the time comes to let go of your life and step into the fire ring, she will take your hand and accompany you. Stepping through the ring of healing flame, she will enfold you in her arms to cauterize your wounds. Go to her; she will relieve you from your hurt.

XIII - SANTA MUERTE
A profound transformation, a renewal, a true and proper revolution. If it is life that generates death, than death generates life. We are connected to all that surrounds us, to the people who have come before us and to those who will come from the cradle to the tomb, from the coffin to the womb, in a continual exchange and a continual regeneration not of opposites but of complementary elements. Santa Muerte brings with it new projects, changes, cuts and the necessary abandonment of what we keep stationary and entangled, like the past or suffocating ties. These changes however are not always pain-free but can bring with them trauma, anger, violence and loss including an immobility when we refuse to take on these transmutations.

Mockingbird
My curtain swings in sleeve, a gondola unswayed, remonitored. At this digression’s consent, congealed in shadow, I wipe the meringue from the sill.
Modified in frame, the masses graze in suspension, one string’s descent upon the herd, the valley forges unto my eyes one image.
From this lofted perch I sit, I move across my mesa. Each member in rally a full makeover....... achieved. A new sector’s incision, finding the place beneath ones neighbored. I do not contend.
The worn, inbound lanes in sight, I find my place within: I seek outbound. The brush relays the density as it bears no trails yet made. With a step, I travel in a Mockingbird.

Maria Belmonte left the funeral industry some years ago to practice acupuncture. Although Maria looked blood, guts, and death in the face on a daily basis as a mortician, she found that the scariest part of the work was the "good ol' boys club" mentality; her skills and intelligence were routinely dismissed. The most toxic thing about the work environment was not the formaldehyde in the embalming fluid, but again, the treatment she received as an Asian woman. The funeral industry proved brutal on her small frame. Maria developed fibromyalgia and a host of other health problems from chronic overwork. Maria cares deeply for her patients. Chinese medicine has provided Maria with a gentler means with which to express her compassionate healing skills set on others. Perhaps, like all of us, she just needs to remember to save some healing energy for herself.

She has worked in all areas of end of life and after death care and has been passionate about a return to the natural ways we used to care for the dead- in the home and in the community. Claudia, also known as ‘The Death Faerie’, is a spirit medium, death doula, and coach. A fascinating woman who survived an abusive childhood, she moved to England at age three where she hung out in cemeteries and talked to spirits. She sees- or rather feels- faeries, dragons, angels, guides, and aliens and describes how each energy has its own weight and quality. Because of the amount of messages she has encountered in which crossed over loved ones use symbols to communicate, she finally realized that she didn't need to "learn" prescribed systems of knowledge. Instead she created and used her own dictionary of symbols. On today’s episode, Eliza speaks with Megan on her role and career choice supporting children and families in high-stress healthcare settings amidst scary or painful symptoms, unknown procedures, unexpected deaths, etc. Megan came into this work as one who experienced a sudden and unexplained prolonged illness on the edge of her thirteenth birthday. She recounts her experience and interactions with healthcare workers which continue to inform her professional role today. Her story is one of remarkable resilience—making a full recovery from coma & paralysis to answering a call to give back to children & families needing the same type of support she and her family could have benefited greatly from where she was in their shoes.

Today's episode starts with a live remote (meaning the sitter was not here in person) Tarot reading for Erin! We also want to take this opportunity to say Happy, Happy Birthday! I guess our delayed publishing of this episode had a serendipitous purpose after all, hehehe. Erin was so gracious to want to share her response via an audio recording which we'll feature at the conclusion of the reading, before journeying on to the archetype of Justice.
After embodying the Wheel of Fortune, we found our true north--our knowing of who we are, where we want to go and what we wanna do. We made an internal commitment to stay the ever-changing course with that truth in tact, but it may be best if we're willing to keep the exact "location" of our true north at least a little bit flexible. Otherwise, we may find ourselves creating unnecessary resistance each time we are confronted with beliefs or values different than our own. We never know who we'll meet or what we'll experience and learn on the way to wherever it is we feel like going in this lifetime.

When it comes to sharing our perspective with the world through our actions, words, facial expressions--what part of us is responsible for gauging its authenticity? We are, in fact, the only being--besides maybe the mind behind all minds, whatever that turns out to be--who truly understands the intentions behind our own words and actions. In this episode, we explore the gifts accompanying a healthy relationship with the inner Hierophant and the challenges that arise when our actions don't quite match our heart's intent. Sometimes the greatest teacher is taking the road less traveled and welcoming the difficulties that arise therein.

Could consciousness be the source of all life? Welcome to the 8th House Healers Podcast! In true Fool fashion, we are taking a blind leap onto the airwaves to share our conversations on all things occult, consciousness, psychic awareness and all that lurks in the unexplored shadows of the universe. We use the Fool's Journey of the Tarot to inspire our episodes, so even if our weird is just too weird for you, you'll hopefully at least learn something! Hehe...In our first episode, we explore the essence of The Fool of the Tarot, an archetype of new beginnings, a seed of potential being carried by the wind, blind faith and countless more interpretations. Eliza talks about her first mediumship reading and her Fool-like approach to accepting Sarah's invitation for a reading, and Sarah explains her experience of identifying as a medium. To our surprise, the very Fool in Eliza's life whom inspired her inward journey of exploring the possibility of life-after-death came through in the reading!
