This podcast will mostly be about DACA but it will also be about family. Anything that has to do with family, school, work, and DACA/Immigration can and will be discussed. *Disclaimer. Today I update you on the DACA renewal process for Carlos. Where he currently is at in the process as well as where he came from and where he’s going. I also talk about what we did over the holiday weekend and how it went for us. Enjoy!

Have you ever heard of the bill "American Families United Act"? Or otherwise known as HR 2920? It is very important to immigrant families and will be held in meeting on July 27th, 2022 at 10am. If you get a chance, please go follow American Families United on all the social media platforms. They are doing amazing work out there!
Here I wanted to discuss what was needed from us to get into Mexico and a little of what it might take for someone to visit the US.
Here I talk about the 15 day trip, our change in itinerary, how things went for us at the border on both occasions, and just everything in general. The kids enjoyed themselves and we had a lot of fun!
What will we be doing in Mexico? Are the kids really excited? What is AOS and what is necessary to accomplish it? It will all be discussed!
Our oldest daughter gets to go to Mexico with us! Just a little over 2 weeks! We are so excited! Also, there is a court date coming up in a month. Keep your eyes and ears out for it. It is super important.

Family is important. Making those connections is important. Do it before it is too late. I apologize for the short episode, I just needed to say what I was thinking and my podcast seemed the best place to do it. I had one I could have set up for tonight but instead I wanted to talk about my Uncle Jim. We love you and you will be missed.
I talk about the 7 year gap between college in 2014 when Carlos and I met and college now in 2022. I talk about why I started college back up again and what changed. Thank you for the continuing support. It really means a lot.
We have a full schedule planned for Mexico! From surprising my seugra, to hot springs, to the Port of Veracruz. We will also be doing some fixings on our house in Mexico. The hurricane hit back in August of 2021, so there are some things we would like to touch up if we have the time and ability. But the biggest things that we have to do while there are (1) enjoy our trip with our children and (2) let Carlos pay his respects to his abuela. He spent 18 years waiting to see her before she passed away. So we have a full 2 weeks planned for our trip and are so excited.
Another interview with Carlos! This time about his initial DACA application, how he heard about it, what he thought, what his family thought, and how it went down. DACA opened up so many roads for Carlos and we are thankful for it.
Today I discuss our AP approval and if the kiddos are going! We would love for them to go with us but we have hit a kind of wall with our oldest daughters dad. It hasn't been as easy as I thought it would be to get his approval to let her go with us.
Today I discuss how undocumented immigration impacts the US economy. I apologize for the loud snoring in the background. Carlos fell asleep early tonight and I couldn't get him to stop....Thank you for listening!

Today I was unable to get you some immigration stories so I am taking a slight turn down hobby lane and discussing with you our biggest hobby! Our business. Arte Perdida means Lost Art in Spanish. When we started our business we did everything by hand. And while we still do mostly everything by hand, some things have changed. We love what we do and we hope we can grow our business.
