Lourette is an award winning manager and dermal aesthetician, with over 16 years’ experience in the industry. She owns Dermology Laser & Skin Clinic situated in multiple different locations in South Africa. After working on the cruise ships and then spending 5 years at the well-known 5 star game lodges of Singita as the Spa Manager, Lourette joined Dermology when the business opened its doors back in 2013 as the practice manager. She helped to grow the business from to strength throughout the years until she was running the practice solely from 2018 and finally became co-owner in February 2021. She is also actively involved in the aesthetic industry by writing articles that often gets published in well-known magazines, social media skin blogger, presenting at aesthetic congresses and lecturing at educational institutes. Lourette won Professional Beauty’s Practice Manager of the year award in March 2020 and the international award from My Face My Body, Practice Manager of the year, in December 2020. Lourette specialises in Sciton Laser & Light equipment, such as BBL HERO, MOXI, NANO and Profractional. She believes in combining the perfect recipe of procedures and medical graded products to achieve real results for her patients. From a business point of view, Lourette’s focus lies on creating a work environment for her team, to grow individually and therefore grow the value of the business. She believes that a true leader does not create followers, they create more leaders.
