I am extremely excited to share this profound and expansive conversation with Dr. John Vervaeke PhD, who is an award-winning lecturer at the University Of Toronto who's teaching courses in cognitive science, psychology, buddhism, and philosophy. He is the author and presenter of the YouTube series, Awakening from the Meaning Crisis, which integrates a comprehensive view of Psychology, Spirituality and Cognitive Science to respond to it.
I could have talked with him for hours and felt some serious FOMO (true story, lol!) as I didn't want the conversation to end. John's knowledge and wisdom are EXCEPTIONAL on so many levels. On top, he is a very kind and wonderful human being doing some profound work in this world. Be sure to follow his work.

My guest is Marc Allen, an internationally renowned seminar leader, entrepreneur, author, and composer. He co-founded New World Library (with Shakti Gawain) in 1977 and has guided the company, as president and publisher, from a small start-up to its current position as a major player in the independent publishing world.
Marc published many legendary authors such as Eckhart Tolle, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Alan Watts and more and has written several books himself (including The Magical Path, The Greatest Secret of All, The Millionaire Course, Visionary Business, and others).
Who would have thought that in his early 20s, he says he was full of anxiety, and even got into using drugs? He could barely scrape together money to buy a latte, let only pay his $65 rent. But then it all changed…

My guest is Trevor Blake, serial entrepreneur and author of NY Times Bestseller, Three Simple Steps, and his newest book, Secrets to a Successful Startup: A Recession-Proof Guide to Starting, Surviving & Thriving in Your Own Venture.
Trevor is a physicist by background who grew up extremely poor and bullied (in a medieval village, no less). Eventually, he tapped into the workings of energy, consciousness and transformation — in particular the science behind it all — and began creating through intentionality. He started his first company at 43 and is now on his 4th, 5th and 6th after selling the first three for over $300 million.
The fascinating part is he's never hired a single employee or worked more than 5 hours a day.
I literally made a quantum jump in my own personal development just by listening to Trevor, so I’m sure there will be something for you as well! Let me know what you think :)

Within seven years, they sold their company, Outfit7, famous for the mobile game Talking Tom and Friends, for $1 billion.

Get ready to be inspired by my next guest Alex Faubel, who had the successful corporate career, money, and relationships but left it all behind to follow his intuition that there was more to life than adhering to society's definitions of "success". It led him deep into the Amazon rainforest where he went through multiple Ayahuasca* journeys and certainly found some answers to life's big questions.
The topics:
Seeing regret on the death bed
Leaving a high-paid sales job for the unknown
A journey around the world that ended in the Amazon rainforest
Taking Ayahuasca (5 times!)
How it changed everything
Back home, what now?
*Ayahuasca is a plant medicine to access altered levels of consciousness where people can experience profound healing, overcome trauma, addictions and awake to a reality that is far greater than themselves and the physical world. Do not try this at home without supervision and adequate preparation.

Karmen Tang, the founder of another startup story joins us on the podcast to talk about how to use creativity and develop the right mindset to build a business around the lifestyle you want (and not the other way around).
A former qualified ACA Chartered Accountant, Karmen gave up her role as Financial Controller of a global advertising agency to launch another startup story - a media and business coaching platform packed to the brim with inspiring nuggets of education for millennials seeking to pursue their creative passion through entrepreneurship. With storytelling at its cornerstone, another startup story showcases profiles of global entrepreneurs and the creatives of today's brands alongside offering 1 on 1 business coaching for creatives and entrepreneurs and freelancers.
Some key takeaways from our chat with Karmen:
You have the power to unlearn things and create new models of reality by developing new habits and training your mind
It is powerful to know that only 5% of our mind is driven by logic, reasoning and creativity (a reference to Dr Joe Dispenza), the rest is attitude, beliefs and perceptions, all things that can actually be changed through developing new habits and challenging our behavioural patterns
And many more...

Alisa Eresina joins us on the podcast to discuss the topic of aligning and integrating the female cycle and energy within our lives and work; what it means for leadership, management, productivity and creating our workdays, and the power that it holds when we fully understand and embrace it as a transformational process. This is not a women-only topic, and our male listeners can learn a lot from this invaluable discussion.
A successful coach, speaker, entrepreneur, yoga teacher, facilitator and host of the I AM: ENOUGH podcast, Alisa is a true inspiration and all about helping others to embody their ultimate potential and elevate human consciousness.
Some key takeaways from our chat with Alisa:
-There are 4 seasons within the monthly female cycle, and, like nature, every phase is different and should therefore be embraced differently
-It is important to allow yourself the time to explore and understand the natural rhythm of your cycle, rather than trying to control the experience. In the end, we are cycling beings, not machines
-Use the times where you feel less energised and emotional for deep reflections, to build a relationship with yourself and understand your emotions better

We have all experienced failures – they are simply part of life. Yet we'd rather not talk about, let alone appreciate them. But when we fully embrace the fact that failures are a vehicle to growth and transformation, we understand that they are not something we should be scared of or hold us back. Ultimately, all of our failures will lead us to what we're meant to achieve in our lifetime.
In this episode, Tanja and Kat talk about their own experiences and failures, how they learned how to overcome setbacks and always stand up again during their years working with start-ups. This episode is not to be missed!
Key takeaways:
-Making mistakes is fine as long as you don’t repeat them. Learn from it and turn mistakes into successes the next time around
-Success is never a straight line – in fact, it’s a wild ride! You have ups and downs all the time and should embrace this as a complete normality
-Failures are essentially the Universe redirecting you to what you’re actually supposed to do
-You should allow yourself to be sad if you’ve just failed at something. But you must see it as a temporary state of mind and emotion and don’t identify yourself with it (you, yourself, are not a failure!)

Most people like to think in labels to better relate to each other and justify their own actions and behavioural patterns through being ‘this’ or ‘that’. However, striving to achieve one label after the other without any deeper meaning can easily distract from your true purpose and WHY.
In this episode, we talk about how you can free yourself from mentally labelling yourself as the role you play at work, at home, or somewhere else and start focusing on what is really important in life and what makes you YOU (hint – you're not a label).
Key takeaways
-Going after labels just because that is ‘what you do’ will not make you happy in the long run. Rather, you should focus on exploring what makes you YOU
-Don't get confused by your ego constantly asking for validation in the form of labels. Recognise it for what it is, then start shifting your response to it
-Focus on what type of EXPERIENCES you want to create, rather than what title you want to achieve next

Is the ego the source of the self? Or is it a separate, (sometimes) evil persona? It is no secret that different ambitions unfold when operating from your true self instead of the ego, which paves the way to different kinds of success and achievements in business and life.
This episode is all about dealing with your own as well as other people’s egos at work. We discuss how ego can be used in a positive way but also the importance of keeping it in check, so it does not evolve into a toxic inner voice that stands between the individual and a greater purpose.
Key takeaways:
-As people start to awaken, the world is moving toward a different approach to business where open discussions about topics like ego are welcome
-Less ego, or at least well-managed ego, can revolutionise outdated business practices to create healthier, more productive and aligned work environments

Starting on how ego can be identified and recognised, this episode revolves around the centric question of how developing awareness of the ego shapes and challenges the way we go about our lives.
From no to hyper-awareness of ego, it can be depicted as both a fueling force and limiting factor, for the individual and especially in the context of business and leadership.
This episode touches on real-life experiences of how ego manifests in the workplace and influences perspectives when (un)acknowledged.
Key takeaways:
-Depending on your level of awareness, the ego can be both enemy and opportunity
-“Having a big ego” is often pictured as a necessity (in some industries), but in actuality not needed to achieve great results
-Speaking and acting from your true self, your essence, rather than ego, will be part of the future of work

When you don’t succeed at something, do you tell yourself “not yet” or ”it’s just not for me”? If you are listening to this podcast, you will most likely fall into the first category and understand the concept of the growth mindset. But do you also act accordingly?
Although the concept of growth mindsets has – thanks to Carol S. Dweck - seen great momentum and understanding especially within the millennial generation, many still struggle to put the concept into practice. In this episode, we discuss ways to change old habits that no longer serve you. The top 3 strategies you’ll hear about (amongst others):
For everyone who has not read the book (yet), we highly recommend ordering a copy of Mindset: New Psychology of Success by Carol S. Dweck. She defines people with a growth mindset as students that believe that their abilities and intelligence can be developed with effort, learning, and enough persistence. People with a fixed mindset, on the other hand, believe that learning abilities, intelligence, and talents are fixed traits.

So often we think that we have to tick all the boxes on the career’s checklist, gain experiences, develop specific skills and spend a particular period of time experiencing unpleasant states or difficult situations before we are ready to pursue our actual dreams. Being successful in life and business is tough, they say. But here’s a little secret: it doesn’t have to be that way.
The key lies in overcoming socially constructed beliefs and redefining what a “good career” and “success” looks like and start aligning our inner and outer worlds the minute we enter the workforce. As we free ourselves from made-up social constructs, we realise that we already have what it takes to become truly successful. Things we talk about in this episode:
-Why you do NOT need to tick a checklist first before you can step into your full power
-Why you are ready TODAY and not in 10 years
-Strategies you can use to overcome seeking validation on your life’s choices

“Create your own reality and just do what you want!” … sounds so simple, right? But how do you actually do it? Although the transition from freeing yourself from those who seek to force you to conform to their ideals (hello, society) to empowering yourself to live according to your own rules can be really tough sometimes, it is also one of the rewarding journeys you can embark on during your life time.
In this episode, we discuss how strategically planning your reality (=Kat) vs. reaching it in a flow state (=Tanja) compare against each other. You’ll learn about:
-Different approaches depending on your personality type to reach the same goals
-Ways to deal with transition periods, i.e. when you are trying to get from A to B
-Why you should always trust that the universe will give you what you need (and not necessarily what you want)

“Limiting beliefs” are all the false stories we tell ourselves from a young age if we are not careful in recognising them as such. These stories are mainly based on other people’s opinions, who society thinks we should be, as well as our own negative thoughts and they do not serve any purpose other than holding us back from becoming our best selves. They are just “stories”.
The wise Maya Angelou once said, “When you know better, you do better” and the same is true for breaking free from your limiting beliefs.
In this episode, we discuss how recognising and managing your old beliefs systems can accelerate your career and why all leaders should put more emphasis on helping their people overcome their limiting beliefs so they can achieve more and feel better at work.
Key takeaways:
-Be open about your limiting beliefs with your support network, as they can help you overcome them by nudging you in the right direction.
-When people are not held back by their limiting beliefs, they achieve more and perform better at work.
-Overcoming limiting beliefs is the first step in creating your own reality and doing whatever you want.

In this episode we talk about why taking risks - small and big - is the only way to live fully and how to overcome your fears in order to do so.
Your absolute “worst case” scenario is likely not going to be as bad as you think

Your body knows fear before your mind does - use it as a warning signal and actively work with what it’s trying to tell you
Key takeaways:
-Your absolute “worst case” scenario is likely not going to be as bad as you think
-Every decision is reversible - nothing is permanent
-Your body knows fear before your mind does - use it as a warning system
