A different take for everyone here to consider is that there are some who won't get it, but how we manage the issue is the key.
Carla Scott, 35, was sentenced at Coventry Crown Court to a total of 27 years for manslaughter and child cruelty but must serve a minimum of 17, and her partner Dirk Howell, 41, was sentenced to a minimum 32 years for the murder of Scott's son, Alfie.
There is a reason for the mistrust of minorities in the UK. It is for social workers to work through this for success but first we have to understand it.
This was newish for me when I learned that YouTube channels are promoting suicidal thoughts. More concerning is that young people are editing these videos.

We cant tolerate that type of language. You are valuable!
There is a method that is not 100% successful but helps us in our exploration of the truth when there is a level of disguise or deception. We should all be using this method when it matters because it can save lives.

As a result of my recent post on TikTok, a post asks questions around my concern of the increasing number of children with diagnosis of ADHD and ODD who are missed in the system and are creating significant safety and health concerns at home.
This was a very reflective solo session that asks what professionals should do with Black History Month. I have a very different take on this and, yes, it was uncomfortable but a practical and new approach.
Watch your language. We are not putting anyone on anything. Our language sends a message of either oppression and control or participation. You choose.

Some of us on the frontline carry the weight of trauma from discrimination, how do we push past that and remain professional?
What to do you when you experience any discrimination from your colleagues or the service user? Why do I even need to ask, we are professionals!
How easy it can be to be duped into not seeing the true nature of things and how this happens.
Relationship sare not so much recognised when on the job but the power of building relationships is the greatest key to it all.
This is my encouragement to those both students and those currently on the front line of it all.

Back form my hiatus, this is an summary of my journey over the last few years form student into social work.
