It marks the moment where the past, present, and soul converge, where I step forward not as someone reinventing or remaking herself, but as someone who has done the deep work, crossed the internal threshold, and is now prepared to lead unapologetically from her truth.

In this conversation, I share the raw experience of shedding identities, facing the projections and dismissiveness of others, and stepping out of roles, expectations, and systems that were never aligned with who I am at the deepest level.

I speak not to teach or guide, but to embody what it means to stand fully in the clarity, sovereignty, and power of my own essence — without softening or adjusting for the comfort of others.

This episode is for those who have always known they were different — the ones who were never meant to follow, fit in, or be palatable — and who are now ready to reclaim the truth and leadership they have always carried within themselves.

It’s for those who are done waiting, done shrinking, and ready to stand as the whole of who they are, leading not from strategy, but from soul.

Let’s walk this path together — not to become, but to remember, reclaim, and live as the soul you have always been.Ask Me Questions, Share Your Processing, Share Your Feedback

In your friendships, are you the one who keeps them going? Do you initiate the contact, and put in the time and effort?

You may even be like I used to be where you find when you go for coffee, out to lunch or dinner or to do some other activity, that you are the person who pipes up and says "I'll pay for it".

If you are why are you the person who generally holds the responsibility, pays, and organizes things? Join me as I explore my process of how having coffee with friends, involved me paying for both mine and theirs.

Why? Because I didn't want to owe anyone anything. I didn't know how to receive and my lack of self-worth and neediness were driving me.

THIS EPISODE You explore:

  • How what appear to be insignificant and irrelevant occurrences, can be the key to deep-seated patterns of a lack of self-worth
  • The influence of what may feel like unrelated experiences, on how you live your life now
  • How the process of sabotage and rejection deny you of what you truly deserve
  • How ceasing to pay for someone's coffee was an opportunity for huge growth.

I look forward to the adventure with you as we unravel, heal and uncover together to make a difference in who we are

Episode 31: Emmergent Processing - Not Giving Up On HopeI invite you to embark on my exploration of hope with me.

How a personal meditation I won as a prize, which involved an initial conversation, prompted processing in me that took me on a journey of reflection on my life and my relationship with hope.

In this episode, I delve into the transformative power of meditation and it's impact on my journey toward finding inner peace and stability. How it became a beacon of hope for me until I realized that my growth, was being hindered and limited by it.

This episode explores how through my processing I uncover my journey of hope from how I had defined it as a lifeline for me to escape where I was at, to becoming something I suppressed, ultimately rejected and gave up on. To embracing it as an internal flame of belief, trust, and self-driven progress.

My introspection led me to release old conditioning, connect more to my true self, and embrace a new perspective on hope. I discovered what hope truly means to me, its implications in my life and its transformative potential. I came to appreciate hope in a way I have not previously done so.

THIS EPISODE

You will:

  • Share in my journey of meditation which led me to connect with hope
  • Explore how hope is an important process for our growth and evolvement
  • Come to know how, in becoming my true self I rejected hope and made it wrong
  • Hear how I gave up on hope and the impact of that on me
  • Explore how I reconnected to hope in a new and different way

Episode 30: Being Inspired By YourselfBeing inspired by yourself is a natural and powerful process. Where you are fascinated and curious with who you are, the inspiration and potential you have within you, and the inspiration you will discover and express from you.

Yet you may look to other people, objects, and environments for inspiration. You can experience bursts of inspiration instead of a flow. When you are inspired, the energy you experience is vibrant and can even be overwhelming. Why? Why do you experience all of these processes?

The answer is in where you are at in your growth and connection to yourself, the true you. In this episode I explore:

  • The process of inspiration
  • What inspiration is
  • Why you experience flashes of inspiration
  • Why you may look to external things for inspiration
  • Your true inspiration and being inspired by yourself
  • Some key questions to support you to explore your inspiration

There are questions at the end of the episode to encourage your exploration of your self-inspiration, so you grow your awareness and understanding of your process of inspiration.

I look forward to the adventure with you as we unravel, heal and uncover together to make a difference to who we are

Episode 29: Processing Reflections With Minz And Barb - Welcome BarbI am so excited to introduce you to 'Processing Reflections With Minz And Barb' and to one of the most beautiful people I have ever met, someone so dear and precious to me - Barbara Binns.

Barb, as she is called by many people, is someone whom I have journeyed with for many years. We share the love of I Make a Difference, personal growth, and catching up to share and explore our processing together.

Barb mentioned to me at the end of last year that her daughter had said to her "you and Minz should do a podcast together". These were the spoken words of what I had already been processing and pondering, so action was taken.

'Processing Reflections With Minz And Barb' will now be a regular feature of the I Make a Difference podcast. How regular? Good question. We are going to trust the process and see what unfolds.

Barb and I are going to have our catch-ups and explore and share processing about different aspects of our personal growth, the processes we explore, and the processing we experience.

In this episode, I wanted to ensure that you got to meet and know Barb and a snapshot of how we came to connect and be friends.

If you are wondering who Minz is - that is me (Melinda) it is a nickname I have been called for many decades and it also stands for Made In New Zealand.

You might want to check out the new I Make a Difference Youtube Channel and the video version of this episode which is in the playlist Processing Reflections With Minz And Barb

For decades one of the most powerful patterns of conditioned approaches I have had with my mum is the responsibility I took on board for her emotional and physical well-being.

My need to be over-responsible has governed my interactions, my decision-making, and my relationship with my mum since a very young age.

The result is, I have been serious in my relationship with her, the problem solver and protector. It was late last year when an experience I had gave me the insight I needed to take action in this area.

I wanted to give focus on really working on letting go of my over-responsible ways.

My commitment was to take new and different approaches. The key to making this happen was for me to stay open to recognizing all of the opportunities I had in my relationship with my mum, to do things differently.

What I came to see, was that I had not allowed myself to be a daughter to my mum. I had been the parent or protector. Our relationship had been one of seriousness and practicality, rather than fun, and laughter, and filled with an abundance of happiness.

So I took action and the amazing new experiences that were created were beautiful. In this episode, I share that journey with you, or at least the beginning of it and what unfolded in one day, so that you too might gain some gems from my process, that will support you to:

  • Let go of the responsibility you hold for others
  • Change patterns of conditioned and emotional processing that are preventing you from experiencing what you truly deserve
  • Embrace that every new experience does not need to be profound in what is done, it is in how it is received, experienced, and shared
  • Can get to experience with the people you have taken responsibility for, the relationship you deserve to have with them

Whilst I was changing some patterns, I would change the podcast cover and the format here. I look forward to the adventure with you as we unravel, heal and uncover together to make a difference in who we are

Episode 26: The Truth About Boundaries Boundary setting is encouraged. You probably believe that boundary setting is about valuing yourself.

But is it?

In this episode I explore the truth about boundaries.

One of the truths is you set boundaries for you, with you. You are limiting yourself from doing what you have previously done, accepting and allowing what you do not deserve. So you set boundaries to grow your ability to experience what you do deserve.

Yet boundaries are a little more complex than that, and they can be limiting and restrictive.

IN THIS EPISODE

You will explore:

  • What boundaries are
  • Why you get to a place where you require boundaries
  • What drives your need to set boundaries
  • Who the boundaries are for
  • Alternatives to boundary setting

Episode 21: I Am Visibly Invisible You would possibly believe that given I am an expressive and outspoken individual who has very strong energy that this would mean I was visible visible (in keeping with the title of this episode). However you would be wrong. Or at least that is what I believe and more to the point experience.

I am, in my world - what I call "visibly invisible". You know that I am there, but I am invisible to the other person in terms of them potentially connecting to me, seeing and hearing me. Rather they connect more to what is being shared with them.

There are the few individuals though that are very special to me, that have wanted to see and hear me. And to them I am visible. As you will be to the people in your life that are like them.

And even if you are not an expressive like me, rather someone who is reflective, you too may experience being visibly invisible.

There are a number of reasons why you (if this is a process you go through) and I experience this.

Some of those reasons are because of our own doing. And some because of where the other person or people are at.

Yet it is an opportunity for your growth and development. For you to be visible to yourself and others.

THIS EPISODE

You will explore: * What being invisible is about * The different areas for you to work with and grow your ability to be visible, in * Some of the reasons why you (if you experience invisibility) and myself are not seen, heard and sensed * Steps you can take so that you are visible * That you and I deserve to be visible

THIS EPISODE

Episode 16: Uncovering My Relationship With Vulnerability Vulnerability - your rawness, being exposed and transparent.

When you truly connect to your vulnerability you connect to a gentle, surrendered and beautiful part of you. You own and honor your truth, without judgement, with acceptance and love. Yet you and I go through a journey to find that out.

I spent time reflecting on my vulnerability journey, and discovered processes I was not fully aware of or even aware of, that contributed to the depth and breadth of healing that I have done with my vulnerability. And I had not recognized with such clarity before, the two key ways we cope with our vulnerability. And I got to appreciate, even more, the people who were fundamental in creating a space for the healing of my vulnerability to happen. As well as how each one of them came into my life to support me with a different aspect of my vulnerability.

The more aware you are of all elements of your vulnerability, the more you can consciously work with each of the different processes that are involved. And the more you value and appreciate what you experienced and who was part of your vulnerability journey.

THIS EPISODE

You will explore: * Why and how vulnerability surfaces within you * What vulnerability is * The two key fundamental things you look for when you are vulnerable * The healing of vulnerability

I look forward to the adventure with you as we unravel, heal and uncover together to make a difference to who we are
