If you've been struggling with getting pregnant, you might have a body mistrust block. Your body isn't broken; it might be carrying subconscious blocks that can affect your fertility. One of the blocks I see in many women who have unexplained infertility is the body mistrust block. This is often rooted in past experiences like miscarriages, childhood memories, or deep fears.

The body mistrust block impacts your body's readiness to conceive by making it feel unsafe. Even if you're not consciously aware of it, your body may be in a "fight or flight" mode. This hinders conception because your body's priority shifts from procreation to survival.

This episode focuses on understanding the emotional, mental, and physical factors affecting the egg you ovulate, and how this ultimately impacts your chances of conceiving and the baby's well-being.

Your egg goes through a 120-day journey before ovulation, meaning that your mental state, emotional landscape, and overall well-being are imprinted on the egg throughout this process. Knowing this can be empowering as you look to break free from various blocks like trauma, emotional upheaval, and body mistrust that might be hindering your fertility.

Find out in this episode how by focusing on healing your emotional and mental blocks, you can improve not just the odds of getting pregnant but also the environment your baby will grow in.

Hi Vanessa, I am so happy you are here. And in this episode, we're talking with fan Vanessa Oly and Vanessa let's go right away. What, in a few sentences, would you say why you are passionate about helping women in their fertility struggles?

Absolutely. So comes as no surprise that I am no stranger to the women's health and women's medicine space. Being a woman, myself, having sisters, having a mother, having friends that are female, we can't help, but all feel connected when it comes to fertility, our hormones, our cycle, et cetera, and to be completely Frank, the women's health and women's medicine space. Women's health education really needs a lot of work. We're not educated the way we should be on our fertility on our cycles, our hormones, what's healthy. What's not healthy, what's normal, what's not normal. So I've really, really loved helping women with fertility, conception, birth control, et cetera, anywhere on that journey on that spectrum, helping them through their fertility, because it is paramount that we are getting that care and that education. I'll give you an example, a client that I work with, and I've heard this multiple times, which it might shock you, or even the listener hearing this, but the amount of women that have come to me in my practice after trying to conceive for months, if not years, that's really common.

In this episode, I'm gonna talk about how doing less can make you more fertile. Do you know that doing less can impact your fertile energy? In fact, it can enhance your fertile energy over upon. Over the past 20 years, I have found that the more relaxed my clients become the quicker they conceive, because here's, I'm gonna share a study with you. That woman, with higher levels of the stress biomarker have a twofold, increased risk of infertility. And it makes sense because the stress does so much to your body. And in short, it takes away the energy you have to create your baby. It gives the wrong message on all levels to your body and your body is wise, right? If I hear from so many of my clients, there's this huge to-do list of all the different things they feel they have to do to increase their fertility.

"In this episode, I'm gonna talk with you about the use of the word infertility. Often I hear women tell me they are diagnosed with infertility and they talk about themselves as having infertility struggles. And that's a big implication. And for sure there are situations that a woman is really in fertile, but in most situations you are not in fertile. And here's the thing. If you listen and secretly in the back of your mind or not. So secretly in the back of your mind, you keep saying to yourself that you are infertile or you have infertility issues, be where your body listens. And if you say this over and over, your body believes this, therefore I am, or for, I invite you to reframe this and start saying and change it. Um, change your mindset into you are in the process of figuring out how to access your virtual energy, or you are in the process of finding solutions to help you get pregnant."

" Yeah, it's a joy because I really enjoy what we're gonna talk about in this episode about affecting your baby's health before conception. And I think this is so important, but before we go there, I would like to know what makes you so passionate. As I said before, we, um, we're recording the interview. Like we share the passion of helping women who struggle with issues and we probably can talk for an hour or for hours, but how did you come into this?"

Have experienced many miracles, and I am sure that you have experienced miracles too. However, I want to share a personal story with you because it proves the body mind connection beyond a shadow of a doubt. Emotional trauma can and does impact your physical body. Unresolved emotional trauma can hinder your body from healing or from conceiving your child. So here's what I wanna share with you.

What happened to me? I went on this beautiful vacation in Europe with my 88 year old mom and my daughter. And we had long plans for this three generation trip. And the vacation was absolutely perfect. We had an amazing time with my 88 year old mom, she was beyond amazing. She walked at least 12,000 steps a day. We visited museums cathedrals, and we could barely keep up with my mother's space. And her sense of adventure was beyond. So we spent so much time laughing and so much time having fun that we vowed to do the trip every year.

Unexplained infertility can be good news. When a woman comes to me with a diagnosed unexplained infertility, my heart usually lights up. And why is that? It is because it's hopeful news. It can be hopeful news because the doctors can't find the explanation for her infertility in her physical. What most people don't know is that pregnancy is not just about the physical. And that is why unexplained infertility is explainable the explanation for not getting pregnant. Isn't in her physical body, but in their emotion. And that is the missing link. And that is why 80% of the time the doctors say, well, keep trying and you should be able to get pregnant. But then the woman is diagnosed with unexplained infertility because the doctors can't find the reason when a woman first come to me, usually they've tried everything from IVF or to II treatments to acupuncture the right supplements to yoga, massages, affirmation, you name it.

And they have read and studied everything. They're very well informed. And by then usually Dr. Google is their best friend. However, nothing has worked so far. And by now they think maybe something wrong with them and they don't know what and where to go. And they don't know what to do. And what starts happening in is that they get on this emotional rollercoaster. One day, they become hopeful. And the next day they become hopeless and anxiety starts to creep in and the self talk becomes very negative and they create this love, hate relations with their body. And sometimes they feel they can't trust their body anymore. Now, what also happens is that sometimes the relationship with their partner becomes tough because nothing's fun anymore. Love making a chore. Their partners may get wary of the long journey and women start to either guilty or they think they're not doing enough. They feel guilty when they drink a coffee or have a glass of wine. And, um, or they deprive themselves. And life is not fun anymore
