A podcast by two marketing moms who hope to inspire you to live your best life- professionally and personally. Dayna and Stephanie are driven by their entrepreneurial spirits and passion for getting sh*t done. They are here to share here their thoughts, give advice, and maybe make you laugh. We talk about everything from navigating client challenges to raising a family, social media pressures, finding your passion and going all-in when you have no idea what you’re doing but you know you’re going to make it happen.
In today's episode, the "Marketing Moms" talk about manifesting, dreaming, and goal setting. Dayna kicks off the episode by asking Stephanie about her ability to manifest her dreams and the tools she has used to turn her dreams into reality. They explore her journey as she has created a side hustle and turned it into a real-life mobile boutique! Stephanie breaks down the definition of manifesting - essentially, manifestation is bringing something tangible into your life through attraction and belief. She explains that "if you breathe life into the goals and dreams you have, you will make them a reality."
Manifesting isn't all about magic and stars aligning- there are blood, sweat, and tears that breathe life into the goals you set for yourself! Set your goals and the "manifesting" is making it happen, it's the part that gets you to the finish line. This is a great episode for anyone looking to make a dream become a reality!
This episode explores personal branding. Dayna and Stephanie talk about knowing your personal brand and staying true to who you are in the decisions you make. Your personal brand refers to how you present yourself, your skills, your experience, and your career goals to others. It's what distinguishes you from the rest of the pack. Personal branding is about putting a stamp on the value you deliver to others- showing your value in every part of your life and how you stand out against the competition. No matter who you are or what you're currently doing with your life, you have a personal brand. Your personal brand is simply what people perceive of you and it's a narrative that you have control over.
Stephanie and Dayna explain one of their favorite sayings “do what you do best” - it's about staying in your lane and finding your talents in everything you do. When you hone in on your strengths, you can find joy in what you do and it will bring you success. In your work or home life, find what you do best and create a clear description of what your role is in each relationship you are in. What interests you? What are your natural talents? Find the little talents you have to build on your regular day-to-day tasks. They talk about how they found what they do best and "turned on the light switch" which led to so many successes in their lives. They also explore the joy of sharing their talents and strengths with others. Teaching others the way or giving them the tools to succeed, won’t be letting them free for others to take!
This episode explores the power of words. Stephanie and Dayna discuss the power of words in today's episode; they explore how we speak to each other, ourselves, some of their favorite words, as well as the words they absolutely dislike! The words we choose can build us up or break us down. How we speak to each other and ourselves is so impactful: you will always remember the words that someone says to you (and how you speak to yourself). We have to hold ourselves accountable for the words we put out to the world. Words carry emotion, they can be used to lift us up, and they can be used as weapons, so choose wisely.
Stephanie posed the question to Dayna; "do you have a TV in your bedroom?" This silly question sparked a bigger conversation. What are the things in your life that bring you joy? Sometimes we take these things out for a little to remember the things that make us happy or allow us to escape from everyday life. It doesn't have to be complicated or overthought, some of the things that bring us joy are simple. Things that we used to make time can be brought back into our lives when children become older or we change jobs or get into a new relationship. When you add or take away things from your life, it will make a shift. Sometimes you will miss those things and sometimes you will be happy to have them gone.
Dayna and Stephanie take us through what truly motivates them to do what they do every day. They explore different motivators- power, money, freedom, love, and more. Each of us is unique. We have our motivations to do things to achieve our goals. But regardless, all goals require an effort. That’s why we need to get ourselves into that action so that we can direct our efforts toward them. For that, we need motivation.
So, what motivates you? Again, we’re unique individuals. We have our motivations that can be different from other people, from our friends, our colleagues, and our family members.
Welcome back for Episode 2 of the Don't Quote Me on This Podcast! Dayna and Stephanie discuss the importance of having a solid foundation. When things go off course it is easy to throw in the towel but when you have a solid foundation, you can readjust and refocus to keep going strong! Obstacles in the road can be both negative and positive, listen in to hear what twists and turns the world can throw at you and how you can stay the course if you have something to always keep you grounded.
Episode 3 is all about Relationships. The Pillars of Any Good Relationship- Trust, Boundaries, Respect, and Appreciation. Building a strong relationship isn’t your responsibility alone. It takes two to have a relationship; therefore it also takes two to have a strong relationship. Unfortunately, many people who are either dating or married, or working together don’t realize that their participation has a lot of weight on their relationship. Being in a healthy and happy relationship requires hard work from both parties. Stephanie and Dayna share important tips with you in this episode so that your relationship can get stronger.
