This episode starts with a surprising realization: making the decision to chase a big dream isn't actually the hardest part. The real challenge begins after the excitement fades. In part two of my TEDx journey, I'm sharing the mindset shift that helped me move forward when motivation disappeared, and why this lesson changed not just my TEDx experience, but my weight loss journey too.

If you've ever wondered why you procrastinate on the goals that matter most, or found yourself waiting to "feel motivated" before taking action, this episode will help you see those moments in an entirely new way.

A few years ago, I had a dream that felt way too big, and I almost talked myself out of it before I ever took the first step. In this episode, I'm sharing a milestone I've been waiting months to announce and the mindset shift that finally helped me stop dismissing my own dreams.

This is the first episode in a four-part series that takes you behind the scenes of my TEDx journey. If you've ever had an idea that excited you only to immediately convince yourself it probably wasn't for you, this episode is for you.

We're wrapping up the six-part summer series with the mindset pattern I see most often in the smartest women I work with: wanting to feel completely certain and in control before you take action. It sounds responsible. It even feels productive. But if you've ever spun through every "what if" scenario, you already know what this really is: a time machine that takes you out of the only moment you can actually control, which is right now. In this final bite-sized episode, I'm sharing the exact process I use to get myself out of the loop.

If you've ever made a plan on Sunday and thought, "But what if I don't feel like eating that way by Thursday?" and then quietly made no plan at all, this one is for you, friend. In Part 5 of the Success Mindset summer series, I dig into the mindset that keeps so many of us overachievers stuck: the fear of feeling boxed in, and the way that fear quietly hands your most important decisions to the most depleted version of you.

Here's the uncomfortable truth underneath it. The freedom you think you're protecting by "staying flexible" is the very thing draining your time, your energy, and your results. This is a short and sweet episode with a concept that gave me hours of my life back, and it reaches far past the plate.

If you're the kind of woman who gets a little hit of satisfaction every time you cross something off your list, this one's for you, friend. Because here's what I've noticed after years of chasing those tiny checkboxes: the small, easy tasks we tell ourselves are "productive" are often the exact thing keeping us from the goal that actually matters. I call it procrasto-working, and overachievers are dangerously good at it.

In part four of our six-part Success Mindset summer series, I'm sharing the shift I personally made that changed how I move through my entire day — starting with the hard thing instead of saving it for a version of me that has more time, more energy, and fewer emails (spoiler: she never arrives). It's a small reorder with a surprisingly big ripple effect, and it's less about discipline than you'd think.

If you're the kind of woman who scans the room to make sure everyone else is comfortable before you even think about yourself, this one is for you. Somewhere along the way, a lot of overachievers picked up a quiet belief: that rest has to be earned. That you can take care of yourself once the to-do list is finally done, once the fires are out, once everyone else is handled. It sounds generous on paper. But in Part 3 of the summer Success Mindset series, Priyanka does the real math on what that belief actually costs you, on the scale and off, and why the version of you that's running on fumes is never the version that gets to show up at your best.

This episode is a permission slip. It's also a little uncomfortable, in the way the most important shifts usually are. If you've ever undone a whole week of wins between Friday and Sunday because you were desperate to squeeze in a break, come sit with this one.

Most overachievers don't fall short of their goals because they lack a plan. They fall short because they're running their life on autopilot — and a goal, by definition, means you want something different than what you have right now. In part two of the Success Mindset series, Priyanka unpacks the sneaky mindset that quietly keeps smart, busy women waiting: the when-then thought. When my calendar clears, then I'll focus on myself. When I finish this to-do list, then I'll take care of my health.

If you've ever caught yourself waiting for the "right time" to recommit, this episode names exactly why that moment never quite arrives — and what to do instead. It's a million-dollar skill that applies on the scale and off, and most overachievers are leaving it completely on the table.

If you've ever caught yourself thinking, "If I can't do it perfectly, why even bother?" — this one's for you, friend.

Welcome to the very first episode of a brand-new summer series, where I'm sharing shorter, more unfiltered, off-the-cuff thoughts on the mindset of success — the gaps I'm watching come up again and again for the overachieving women I coach every single week. We're kicking it off with the barrier I see derail more smart women than almost any other, especially this time of year: all-or-nothing thinking. It's the pattern that quietly convinces you to take your foot all the way off the gas the moment your calendar isn't perfect. And here's the part most overachievers never calculate — it's costing you the wins you could be having right now. In this episode, I'll walk you through where this pattern actually comes from, why it feels so convincing, and the one question that can change everything (without requiring A++ effort).

If you've ever gotten the A+, the promotion, the passed board exam... and felt good for maybe two days before sprinting toward the next thing, this episode is for you.

This week I'm joined by Dr. Shivana Naidoo, a child and adult psychiatrist I met at a women physicians conference, where her talk hit me so squarely in the heart that I tracked her down afterward and asked her to come on the show. We get into the chase, that hamster wheel so many smart, overachieving women are running without even noticing, because the running has become who we think we are. Shivana shares the moment she realized the system was never going to hand her the credit she was waiting for, and the small, slightly rebellious thing she did about it.

About Dr. Shivana Naidoo:

Dr. Shivana Naidoo, MD is a double board certified Adult Psychiatrist, and Child-Adolescent Psychiatrist, who aims to help her patients and community to know better, do better and feel better. She is the creator/host of the podcast Thinking It Through with Dr. Naidoo- Child Psychiatrist and the founder of DoBetterMD her telehealth private practice. She greatly enjoys working with female professionals and overachieving teens in her practice. She is currently an Attending at the Bradley REACH Virtual Partial Psychiatric Hospital Program, and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She also serves as the Lead Psychiatrist for the Pediatric Mental Health Care Access Program, an initiative to support primary care providers to address the current mental health care crisis in the state of Arizona. In 2025, she was inducted as a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. In February 2026, she was chosen as a speaker for the Women Physician Wellness Conference Climb in Cayman Islands. She is a proud New Yorker who has relocated to Chandler, Arizona. When she is not working as a physician, speaker or podcaster, she enjoys reading stories to her 2 boys, writing songs, and playing guitar.

If you've ever told yourself "I'll get serious about this after summer… after the holidays… in January," this one's for you. There's a quiet thought error running underneath that delay, and once I name it, you won't be able to unsee it. So many of us keep pushing off the best parts of our lives because a primitive part of the brain has decided that losing the weight you want has to feel terrible and restrictive. And if that were true, of course you'd put it off.

In this episode, I name that trap directly and share the one high-currency question that flips weight loss from "miserable" to an act of self-care, and gets the best parts of your brain back online. Because you don't have to choose between enjoying your one precious life and reaching your goals. You get to have both.

You've done this before. You get a clean plan, the macros mapped out, a tidy calorie budget, and you feel completely ready... and then a busy work week, an on-call shift, or the after-school chaos quietly dismantles it by Wednesday. In this short bonus episode, I'm talking about why a plan on paper almost never survives real life, and what actually does. There's a big difference between having a strategy ChatGPT can spit out and having what I call million-dollar skills, the kind that transcend your calendar and don't run on willpower. I won't give all three away here, but I'll say this: they're the reason my clients don't just lose the weight, they go after bolder promotions, hold firmer boundaries, and feel more present at home. If you've been circling the idea of joining us inside Burn Stress, Lose Weight, Feel Unstoppable, this is the one to listen to first. Enrollment is open this week, and our next cohort starts next.

There's a decision you've been carrying around. Maybe for weeks, maybe months, maybe (if you're honest) years. You've made the pros and cons list more than once and you're still circling. If that's you, friend, nothing is broken, you're not indecisive. You're a smart woman who learned to wait until you feel completely certain before you move. In this episode I name that holding pattern, do the math on what it's quietly costing you, and hand you the way out.

If you've lost weight before only to gain it back, this conversation is for you. I'm bringing Dr. Kara Geoghegan back to the podcast because we're catching her at a part of the journey we rarely talk about — what happens after you hit your goal. Kara is a private practice OBGYN, a mom of four, married to another physician. She had every justification to say she didn't have time. She used to use them all.

In this episode, Kara shares what it actually looked like to lose 30 pounds (and then 10 more) with a plan she loves, and the part she didn't expect — the 10 hours a week she got back in the process.

About Dr. Kara Geoghegan:

Kara Geoghegan is a dedicated OB-GYN, devoted mother of four, wife and lifelong learner with a passion for helping others. Known for balancing a demanding medical career with an active family life, she values meaningful connections, adventure, and personal growth.

Ashley Conway came to me convinced she'd tried everything. A PA, planner, and overachiever to her core, she'd run the calorie-restriction route, the intense-cardio route, the I-just-need-a-better-spreadsheet route. The morning she called a friend to ask if bariatric surgery was her only option left, she found this podcast. Then she got pregnant — and messaged me asking if it even made sense to join the group.

This episode is her honest answer to that question, and the story of how she lost 38 pounds, walked through pregnancy and postpartum without chasing a number, and built a relationship with herself she didn't know was possible. If her story stirs something in you, my next free live training, Lose 30 Pounds Without Calculating Anything, is happening Sunday, May 31st at 11am Eastern.

About Ashley Conway:

Ashley is a mom of three and aesthetic dermatology PA.

Have you ever put off going to the doctor because you wanted to lose the weight first? If that hits, this episode is for you.

This week I'm joined by my client Erin Hennesey — former state senator, CPA, mom of two — who shares what it actually looked like to stop the on-again-off-again cycle and lose the weight in a way that feels like a lifestyle upgrade. We get into the parts most weight loss conversations skip: the perfectionism that quietly keeps overachievers stuck, and what changed when Erin finally stopped circling and started.

About Erin Hennessey:

Erin Hennessey is a Certified Public Accountant with extensive experience in the financial sector and public service.

She graduated from Boston College's Carroll School of Management and began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She has since worked with organizations including Callaway Golf Company, Resources Global Professionals, and the University of Northern Vermont.

Erin has a long-standing commitment to community service, including serving the state of New Hampshire as Deputy Secretary of State, State Senator, and State Representative. She has also served on the boards of New Hampshire Public Television, North Country Home Health and Hospice, Littleton Regional Healthcare, and Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank, and currently serves on the board of the New Hampshire Children's Health Foundation.

Erin has two adult children and lives in New Hampshire with her husband, John.

It's my birthday week and I want to celebrate it by talking about something I used to think was reserved for a select few — luck. The kind where weight comes off easier, where consistency feels natural, where some women just seem to have it figured out.

I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I feel better in my body in my 40s than I did in my early 30s. That is not good genetics, and it's not luck. It came from one specific decision I made in 2018, sitting with my newborn daughter and a calorie tracking app I was about to redownload for the hundredth time. In this episode, I'm walking you through that decision and the one question that changed everything.

Have you ever lost weight, gotten the compliment, hit the goal — and then quietly waited for it all to fall apart? That feeling has a name, and it might be the hidden reason your results never seem to stick. In this episode, we're diving into the fourth (and most surprising) lesson from a deeply personal weight loss journey: success intolerance, and why even the most accomplished women are quietly sabotaging the wins they've worked so hard to create.

If your brain has ever whispered "this feels too good to be true" the moment something starts working, this episode is for you.

This episode kicks off a special anniversary series where I'm pulling back the curtain on what actually made my 60-pound weight loss stick—for years. Not just during the "everything is going right" seasons, but through the messy, unpredictable ones too. Because if you've ever lost weight before but quietly wondered, "Can I actually keep this off?"… you're not alone.

What I've learned is this: the difference isn't more discipline, better tracking, or a tighter plan. It's something much deeper—and honestly, something most overachievers are doing completely backwards. In this episode, I share the first (and most uncomfortable) lesson that changed everything for me—and why it might be the missing piece for you too.

Community can be powerful on its own. But when you combine community with evidence-based thinking, real leadership, and women who are willing to share both their ideas and their doubts, something even more meaningful happens.

In this conversation with Dr. Shikha Jain, we talk about what it really takes to build a mission-driven community, why evidence-based voices matter more than ever, and how courage often looks a lot less polished than we expect. This episode is a conversation about leadership, vulnerability, and what becomes possible when smart women stop trying to do everything alone.

About Dr. Shikha Jain

Dr. Shikha Jain, MD, FACP is a physician leader, oncologist, and nationally recognized voice working at the intersection of medicine, policy, and healthcare system transformation. A tenured Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago and a national media contributor, she is the Founder and Board Chair of Women in Medicine®, a nonprofit advancing leadership and equity in healthcare. Dr. Jain's work spans clinical care, national policy discussions, and public communication, and she is widely recognized as a leading voice shaping the future of healthcare.

In this first episode of a new three-part series, I'm joined by Dr. Erica Howe to talk about the real power of community for high-achieving women. This conversation explores why so many professional women carry the badge of doing everything on their own—and what becomes possible when you step into a room where honesty, strategy, and shared experience replace isolation.

We talk about the small conversations that can shift your perspective, why community is more than just support, and how the right environment can spark the courage to change something in your career or life.

About Dr. Erica Howe

Dr. Howe is a board-certified Hospitalist and a nationally known educator, wife, and mother to three crazy kids. As a prolific speaker and lifelong advocate for improved wellness in medicine, she has delivered hundreds of talks nationally and internationally on topics like conflict management and boundary setting. In 2018, she founded the Women Physicians Wellness Conference, held in Aruba, Grand Cayman, and Amelia Island, exclusively for women physicians. In 2024, she expanded this vision by founding the Women Professionals Wellness Conference, a three-day event in the Bahamas each January designed to bring women from demanding professions together to share their struggles and strategies for success.

Dr. Howe believes women are stronger together and is passionate about helping them find the courage, clarity, and community to succeed on their own terms—not someone else's.

If you're exhausted by the end of the day and still wondering why your goals feel so hard… this episode will explain why.

In this episode, I'm breaking down the invisible drain most overachieving women don't see: open tabs in your brain. The interruptions. The half-decisions. The constant renegotiating. And how not having clear boundaries is quietly costing you time, energy, and momentum. If weight loss or career goals feel heavier than they should, this will feel like relief.

What if the very emotion you think is driving your success… is actually the thing slowing you down?

In this episode, I'm bringing a little spice to your masala chai and saying the quiet part out loud: frustration isn't fuel. For high-achieving women, it's often an adult temper tantrum in disguise. And while it might feel powerful in the moment, it's quietly costing you time, energy, and your highest-quality thinking. Have you ever told yourself, "I've gone backwards"?

In this episode, I'm breaking down one of the sneakiest thoughts high-achieving women carry — and how it quietly sabotages sustainable results. Whether it's the scale, your career, your marriage, or parenting, that single sentence can drain your momentum faster than you think.

This is part of my "If I Wasn't Afraid to Hurt Your Feelings" series — direct, no-fluff truth (including my own messy StairMaster plot twist). If you're tired of the start–stop cycle, this one is for you.

In today's episode, I'm sharing the one shift I wish I had made sooner—because it would have saved me years of frustration and a very familiar cycle many overachievers know all too well. If you're someone who thrives on gold stars, results, and external validation, this episode may gently challenge how you've been measuring success… and why that might be the very thing keeping your results fragile.

We'll talk about what really happens after the goal weight, the quiet danger of boredom and complacency, and the missing piece that makes follow-through feel sustainable instead of punishing. This is a conversation about pride, reward, and how to turn your plan into a true lifestyle—without needing more discipline, willpower, or pressure.

The January motivation high has faded… and if you're noticing old habits creeping back in or your confidence wobbling, this episode is for you. In this timely workshop-style episode, I walk you through why losing belief in yourself is not a failure—and how waiting to "feel confident again" might actually be the thing keeping you stuck.

This episode introduces a powerful framework I teach my private clients to help them understand where belief breaks down, why it's normal, and how to keep taking action even when confidence feels shaky. If you've ever thought, "I just need to believe in myself more," this conversation will challenge that idea—in the best way.

In this episode of Burn Stress, Lose Weight, I'm putting words to something I've been seeing over and over again with high-achieving, professional women—and something I've lived myself: fragile confidence.

It's that familiar pattern where confidence feels rock-solid when results are going well… and completely collapses the moment things don't. Whether it's the scale, feedback at work, or a missed follow-through, confidence suddenly feels conditional. In this conversation, I unpack why this happens, how it quietly stalls momentum, and what actually creates confidence that doesn't shatter under pressure.

You can be smart, disciplined, and wildly capable… and still find yourself going off track the moment stress spikes or motivation dips. In this episode, I'm naming what's really happening: it's not a willpower problem—and it's definitely not a "you need more information" problem.

We're talking about the Under Feeling Problem: the gap between having a solid plan and being able to follow through when your body is flooded with overwhelm, doubt, frustration, or that familiar "I'll deal with this later" energy. I'll walk you through the two most common patterns I see in high-achieving women, why "grit" isn't the missing ingredient, and the emotional skill that changes everything—at home, at work, and on the scale.

In this short, five-ish minute episode, I explore how the paradox of choice quietly derails weight loss and big goals. I share how avoiding clear nutrition decisions—out of fear of restriction—actually created more mental chatter and stalled my progress. This episode is an invitation to notice where indecision may be costing you time, and to remember that clarity, confidence, and results come after you make a decisive move, not before.

I'm bringing yesterday's Instagram Live to the podcast today, answering a question I recently got: What exactly IS a weight loss system?

If weight loss feels like a constant restart button, this episode is for you.

In this Instagram Live turned podcast episode, we break down the real reason smart, high-achieving women keep getting stuck on the weight-loss struggle bus — and why willpower, calorie tracking, and "good food / bad food" lists aren't the solution. Instead, lets talk about a true weight loss system and why systems (not motivation) create consistent results.

You'll hear a personal story of losing and regaining 60 pounds, the moment postpartum that changed everything, and why sustainable weight loss has to feel like a lifestyle upgrade, not another thing you white-knuckle through.

In this episode, you'll learn:

  • Why most weight loss plans only work on "unicorn days" — and what to do instead
  • What a real weight loss system looks like (and why PDFs and habit trackers aren't enough)
  • How Magic Action Decisions remove decision fatigue, deprivation, and guilt
  • Why urges, stress, and off-plan moments are normal — and how to plan for them without spiraling
  • How guilt-free rest is a non-negotiable part of fat loss, consistency, and mental bandwidth

If consistency has been your biggest struggle, this episode will help you see exactly where the gap is — and why nothing is "wrong" with you.

Enrollment for the January cohort of Burn Stress, Lose Weight, Feel Unstoppable is now open, and we start next week. If you're ready to stop starting over and want a system that fits your real life, this is your moment.

In this short, five-ish minute episode, I'm sharing why habits only stick when they feel like a true lifestyle upgrade—not a punishing plan you have to endure.

I break down the three missing pieces for overachievers: a nutrition strategy that supports your health and energy, accounting for the natural pull toward disorder (so it's not a discipline issue), and learning how to follow through even when motivation dips.

What if the thing holding you back from your body goals isn't lack of effort—but fear of wasting it? In this episode, I'm recording on the move (literally outside, planes and all) after getting hit with a moment of clarity that stopped me in my tracks. I share two real-life stories—one from my own business and one from a close friend—that reveal a pattern I see constantly with high-achieving women: pulling back right when effort actually matters most.

We're talking about why smart, capable women hesitate to go all-in, how that hesitation quietly guarantees stuck results, and what it really costs us over time—not just on the scale, but in energy, confidence, and bandwidth.

This episode kicks off the year with a bold reframe for high-achieving women who are tired of starting strong in January… only to feel stuck by February. I'm breaking down why weight loss doesn't stall because you "lack discipline," but because of invisible decision fatigue that quietly drains your time, energy, and momentum.

In this conversation, I share why overachievers are especially vulnerable to indecision, how unmade choices create unnecessary drag, and what it actually takes to turn January motivation into real, lasting momentum—on the scale and in your life.

What if the reason you keep repeating the same results isn't a lack of discipline—but the way you're interpreting your "fails"?

In Part 2 of this New Year series, I'm inviting you to pause before you grab a fresh planner or declare a clean slate. Instead of starting over, we're looking back—with curiosity, self-trust, and 100% responsibility—to uncover the real gaps that quietly sabotaged your momentum last year.

This episode is about treating yourself like a human (not a robot), learning from missteps without shame, and building systems that actually work in real life—especially if you're an overachiever who's tired of doing everything "right" and still feeling stuck.

What if the reason last year didn't go the way you planned isn't lack of discipline… but lack of troubleshooting?

In part one of this two-part New Year series, I'm walking you through how to look at the past year without shame, blame, or "fresh start" pressure—and instead use it as data. This episode is about learning how to identify what actually got in the way, so you don't repeat the same patterns when the calendar flips.

This conversation is especially for overachieving professional women who hate feeling behind, avoid "failure," and secretly expect themselves to just figure it out next time.

In today's episode, I'm having a conversation that's been on my heart for a long time: how to drop body shame from your weight loss journey without giving up on your goals. As we head into a new year, it's easy to approach health and body goals from a place of punishment—and I want to show you why that never leads to results that last.

I'm sharing personal stories from my own journey and breaking down why hating your body (or the process) quietly keeps you stuck, and how it's possible to hold compassion for yourself and still want meaningful change.

When you're working toward big goals—on the scale or in your life—discomfort will show up. But most overachievers confuse discomfort with deprivation and end up solving the wrong problem.

Instead of trying to be "more disciplined," we'll explore what's really going on under the surface—how stress, cortisol, and unchecked emotions drive urges, cravings, and burnout. You'll learn how to regulate our stress, reclaim our energy, and stay consistent without needing more willpower.

In this deeply honest and unfiltered episode, I'm sharing something I originally recorded just for my clients inside The Unstoppable Group: how I navigated a massive epic fail on a recent family trip to India. I'm pulling back the curtain on exactly what went wrong, what I used to believe in these moments, and the specific mindset and strategy shifts that helped me turn it all around without the usual spiral.

If you've ever felt like one off-track moment means you've "ruined everything," this episode is for you. I walk through the real-life breakdown, the uncomfortable truth about gut health and fried food (yup, we go there), and the five-question retrospective that changed everything.

In this week’s episode, I’m doing something I’ve never done before: bringing on a brand-new client who hasn’t even started live coaching yet inside The Unstoppable Group. Camille, a full-time OB/GYN and mom, shares her early wins and the subtle but powerful mindset shifts that started happening the moment she said yes to herself. From reducing cravings to feeling better in her scrubs, Camille talks candidly about what changed for her before anything official even began and why investing in her goals (even with unpredictable hours and a toddler at home) was the best decision she’s made this year.

Dr. Camille Roque is a generalist OB/GYN in Northern California. She is happily married and has a two-year-old who keeps her busy after work. When she’s not chasing after her toddler, she enjoys traveling and crafting. She is excited to join the next cohort and hopes to embrace her perfectionist tendencies—openly admitting them and using them as a strength within the group. Additionally, she is eager to explore new and sustainable ways to enjoy food and lifestyle changes. Most of all, she is thrilled to join a group of like-minded, strong women who inspire and support one another.

Ever wonder why you reach for a snack or scroll through your phone when you’re not actually hungry? It’s not because you’re weak or lazy—it’s brain science. Your brilliant brain has learned that these rituals provide a quick hit of dopamine, making them hard to resist. But the problem is, those habits also keep you stuck, sabotaging your weight loss goals and leaving you feeling frustrated.

In this episode, I’m sharing an excerpt from a recent coaching call where I taught my clients how to rewire their brains using the power of dopamine. You’ll learn how to create new rituals that actually serve you without relying on willpower alone.

In this episode I’m taking you through the highs and lows of stress, the impact of cortisol on our bodies, and the powerful, often-overlooked role of oxytocin in weight loss and overall well-being. Drawing from my own experience as a busy physician and mom, I’m unpacking the ways high-achieving women fall into the fight-or-flight cycle—pushing through exhaustion, relying on caffeine, and ignoring the body's true needs. But what if there was another way?

We’ll explore how oxytocin, the so-called “love hormone,” is much more than a feel-good chemical—it’s a physiological game changer that can help regulate stress, improve metabolism, and create sustainable weight loss. I’ll break down the science behind it, debunk common misconceptions about self-compassion, and offer practical, step-by-step ways to implement the oxytocin effect into daily life. If you’ve ever felt stuck in a cycle of overworking, stress-eating, or self-criticism, this conversation is for you.

For years, the scale had a powerful hold over me. Some days, I weighed myself obsessively, letting one “bad” number ruin my mood. Other times, I avoided the scale altogether, afraid to confirm what I already suspected. If you’ve ever felt triggered by the scale—or any kind of data—you’re not alone. But here’s the truth: it’s not the number itself that causes dread. It’s the meaning we attach to it.

I’m walking you through how to break free from the doom-and-gloom cloud that follows so many high-achievers when it comes to weight loss. You’ll learn how to use data to work for you—not against you—so you can make informed, powerful decisions about your health. Whether or not you ever step on a scale again is completely up to you, but if you do, this episode will show you how to approach it from a place of curiosity, not criticism.

Are you a high achiever who's been chasing success through strict plans and rules? In this episode, I’m re-airing one of my most impactful episodes about why so many of us fall into the trap of rule-following, especially when it comes to weight loss. In this episode of Burn Stress, Lose Weight, I’m diving into the second stress type in my mini-series, the Advocate, which often manifests as the "fight" response. I’ll explain how our stress reactions play a critical role in derailing weight loss efforts, particularly for professional, high-achieving moms. We’ll explore two common scenarios—the Scarce Advocate and the Righteous Advocate—and how these mentalities can create obstacles between you and your long-term body goals.

I’m also breaking down the "think, feel, act" cycle and sharing how the stress response leads to mindless snacking, grazing, and inconsistent follow-through. If you've been struggling to stay on plan despite all your hard work, this episode will help you gain deeper awareness of the root cause—and how to change your approach.

Today’s episode is about an important topic that I’m actually in the midst of as I record this podcast. This has given me an opportunity to reflect on all the lessons I’ve learned in the past few years of experiencing and understanding emotional hunger, especially how it differs from real, physical hunger.

Emotional hunger feels just like real, physical hunger. However, when you start to pay attention, you’ll notice some important differences. Unlike physical hunger, emotional hunger cannot be satisfied with food. Trying to do so can create some serious heaviness for your body and take you further away from what you’re deeply needing.

Tune in this week for a deeper understanding of your emotional hunger, what it feels like from a sensation perspective, and why it happens.
