A podcast where two 17 year old IB students talk about school, life, and other issues that are important to them. Topics range from the ideal number of Oreo cookies to eat to power and politics, so there should be something for everyone.
This podcast was created to fulfill the Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) requirements by the IB. However, any opinions here belong to the creators and do not reflect the organisation's views.
We're having a casual conversation about casual topics like casual conversations. Also featuring: Barks. This will be the final one unless I decide to make another some time in the far future!
Ahh... was there a format for the description? I sure hope not... This episode's a little bit different. We're talking about the environment! Well, we're grounding our criticism in environmental issues, to be specific.
From the Youtube description box: "Well, the Touhou influence is extremely obvious now... I always thought that the spell card system offered more opportunities for symbols and metaphors, and that's how we've arrived at a new naming convention! This episode is a cooldown episode. Intended to be a break from the heavier topics of the last three (four?) episodes, it features the two of us getting very angry." Oh, and the summary... In three words: Pastimes, Mindfulness, and Holidays.
I just realised I can't copy and paste the Youtube description... Ugh... Anyway, this episode serves as the finale of Season 1, and what better way to end off than to address the system that birthed this podcast in the first place? This episode discusses (and criticises - We already complimented it in Episode 1!) education systems and how teenagers should not be treated like complete adults, because we're not. Also, we're recapping some things mentioned from Episode 1 to 4 to tie up some loose ends.
"This episode is a little heavier than normal because the issues feel so close yet so far (I'll leave you to figure out what that means), so feel free to write a 4000 word essay in the comments below on why I am wrong in every way." Well, I lifted them from my Youtube description. Not sure how commenting works here...
Well, apparently I only realised that Spotify doesn't handle lists well. Fine, I shall describe it in prose. This episode is about human classifications, emotions, criticisms, and somehow the meaning of life.
Post-Spotify Formatting Update: The focus of this podcast is on social media and emotions, as well as a bit of life philosophies. Now that I think about it, Episode 3 is kind of similar.
Post-Spotify Formatting Update: It's just like Youtube, I keep having to rewrite descriptions. I'm writing this after Episode 3 so this'll be weird for any new listener. Anyway, this episode is about COVID-19 and school. A pretty simple episode to start things off.
