Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you are doing well. Have you ever tried cooking childhood food? After my mother and father passed away, I feel like I never cooked childhood food again. When cooking, I always remember my mother or father.
But, this time is different. Maybe because I was in a hurry, I tried this food. The famous name of this food is Hong Kong fried rice. Because there were no cooking spices, so we made what we had. Likewise, my mother used to make this food.
A long time ago when the economy at home was not good, my mother always made this food for us for breakfast. Fried rice, there is no difference with other fried rice, if you look at it when it is cooked. In fact, there are many differences. Especially in terms of cooking spices.
There is no garlic and shallots. I cook this for sahur during fasting. Very simple but I feel sad when cooking this. I remember my mother and father. So, what are the ingredients for cooking this fried rice?
1# white rice, to taste
2# cooking oil, to taste. This is used for frying
3# seasoning from Indonesian brands
4# Himalayan salt
Bahan-bahan yang digunakan sangat simple. Saya berpikir bahan-bahan ini ada di setiap rumah. Jika kamu ingin membuat makanan ini, akan sangat mudah dibuat. Apakah kamu akan mencoba membuat makanan ini?
How to make
1# I forgot to add the equipment used. I use an electric pan. This is because I am not at home with complete equipment
2# heat the electric pan. It took me a long time to heat this pan.
3# pour cooking oil, wait until hot.
4# break the eggs, wait a moment and stir until scrambled.
5# cook the eggs until cooked. Maybe about 10 minutes.
6# add rice, preferably leftover rice from yesterday. So that the texture of the fried rice is not soft
7# stir the rice and eggs until evenly distributed.
8# don't forget to add seasonings, such as flavorings and Himalayan salt
9# stir the rice again until evenly distributed
10# wait about 5 minutes and remove. Fried rice with very simple seasoning is ready to eat
I added other dishes such as stir-fried intestines and green beans as a complement. Oh yeah, I also added crackers as a complement. Fried rice, stir-fried intestines and green beans and crackers. This is enough food for sahur.

Some time ago, I made Sundubu Jigae. This food is one of the foods from South Korea. In fact, this food is very popular in Indonesia. The spicy, savory and sweet taste makes this food in demand by the people of Indonesia.
From some of the reviews I've read, although it looks like red gravy, it doesn't taste spicy. Sundubu Jigae can be garnished as spicy silken tofu soup. If you watch Korean dramas, these foods are always introduced to the audience. One of them is in the drama Itaewon Class. This food is one of the menus sold at Park Seo Joon's restaurant.
Where it comes from, this food has different names depending on the ingredients used. If you add seafood, this food will be called Haemul Sundubu Jigae. But, in some of the references that I read, you can cook this dish with the ingredients you have.
Besides Gochujang, this food uses chili powder called Gochugaru. This spice is the key to making this food red, the very important spice in this dish, sesame oil. However, I did not use sesame oil when making this dish.
Where did it come from, this food is eaten in winter. Served in a black pot. We all know that South Koreans love kimchi. They can also add kimchi as a complement when eating Sundubu Jigae. Maybe, I should try this food in a Korean restaurant.
Here are the ingredients I used:
1#. Bean sprouts, to taste.
2#. You know, enough.
3#. Mushrooms, to taste.
4#. Onion, to taste.
5#. 3 medium meatballs.
6#. 3 fish cakes
7#. 1 egg
The seasoning I use
1#. mushroom broth.
2# Chili powder
3#. Gochujang
4#. salty soy sauce
5#. Oyster sauce
How to Cook
1#. Wash all materials to be used. Cut all ingredients according to taste.
2#. Heat the pan to be used. Heat the oil, I use canola oil. However, you are free to use any oil.
3#. Saute the onions that you have chopped. Saute until smell. Put the sprouts and mushrooms. Cook until wilted.
4#. After wilting, you can add the meatballs and rice cake. Stir until smooth and add water. Add all the spices according to your taste. Stir briefly and wait for it to boil.
5#. Once it boils, you can add the eggs.
6#. This dish is ready to be eaten with rice.

A while ago, I visited Cirebon, West Java. I see there's a new face from this city. According to the information I've been compiled, this place has just been rebuilt. And just finished at the beginning this year.
This place is designed by Western Java Governor, Ridwan Kami. This place has a very important history for Islamic spreading in Cirebon. This place became a place for the people to ask about Islamic religion before. In fact, the name of this place was taken from a prince who spread Islamic religion in Cirebon, Prince Kejaksan. So this place is historic.
Because it has history, it's not wrong to have decorations like the kingdom of that era. the city square also becomes a green open space that the people can enjoy, there's also a playground for children, in fact, this place is a jogging track for the people

Two weeks ago, I celebrated a friend's birthday at my workplace. There are four birthdays. they are Neny, Yulita, Maskur and Rizky. There is a must-do tradition for birthday staff. Make yellow rice and pray together. And that, done at lunch. For me, lunch is the most sacred place. Where everyone gathers, talking to each other regardless of position. We are free to talk about anything at the dinner table.
After we pray, We eat Nasi Kuning at the dinner table. At Nasi kuning, I learned about diversity. In one plate, there are many types of food that can be eaten. In fact, all cooked foods are complicated to cook. Besides yellow rice, there are fried chicken, fried eggs, perkedel, urab, tempe orek and balado. All these complex foods are cooked.
Besides eating Nasi Kuning, we also blew out the candles on the birthday cake. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, yesterday there was no candle blowing session. But eating Nasi Kuning is a very special thing. In addition to birthdays, making yellow rice is celebrated for employees who resign. This is done so that we can maintain a good relationship with the resigned staff
