Toowong Cemetery in Brisbane has been the final resting place of individuals from all walks of life since 1871, but could the notorious “Hat Man” also be a resident of this mammoth necropolis? The hat man is a ghost-like phenomenon seen all around the world and is believed by some to be an otherworldly watcher who studies and observes human-kind. I have personally heard many stories of shadow people being seen at Toowong Cemetery over the years.
Irish Katie recently sent me this curious photo (episode cover) taken on a mobile phone during a very recent Toowong Cemetery Ghost Tour. She states that she was well in back of the tour group and from the get-go could feel an ominous presence “stalking” the group as they meandered through the headstones. As they walked, she would intermittently glimpse something in her peripheral vision which would vanish as soon as it appeared. Sensing a presence behind the group, she turned around and snapped several photos amongst the graves, one of which appears to be that of a shadowy figure with a distinctive hat.
As it turns out, this isn't the first time Irish Katie has encountered the Hat Man. The first time being as a small child many years ago in the countryside of picturesque Limerick Ireland..her home town.
