Tamara Colbert

Meeting at the Marble Podcast is open and honest conversations for divorced women navigating all the things that come with it. We'll talk about everything from co-parenting, toxic relationships, abuse, single parenting, and of course, divorce. Tamara is a single parent of three and an Accountant by degree. She has went through a 16 yr toxic marriage and found herself very isolated when it finally ended. Her mantra is to "talk out loud" and let others know what you're going through. The goal of the podcast is to give a voice to those feeling that they are in this thing alone, hoping by the end they will realize they are not.

"Tam's Two Cents" on remaking memories that were once tragic. Today would have been my 19th yr wedding anniversary and I cannot be more removed emotionally. The day means nothing to me good or bad but for those who aren't there, I want to encourage you to enjoy the day with a new memory.

No one and nothing can prepare you for the effects divorce will have on your children. For my 3 Live Crew, it is definitely hitting them at different times and in different ways. This episode I'm catching ya'll up from when my daughter left for Spring Break at her dad's and he refused to bring her back home. Also giving an update on my oldest who has mental health issues and no longer lives with me. It's a harsh reality but I want to focus on the positive and encourage everyone to keep fighting for your kids. Follow me on instagram @ the.mampodcast.

This episode we talk about being sick and tired of being sick and tired. I talk out loud about the traumatic and triggering events that occurred in March pre and post divorce.  I will no longer allow these things to take over my mind and body, making me physically sick.  Boundaries are a constant thing I'm having to set and stick to, with my children and my ex. Declare today you will be consistent for your peace of mind, as hard as it may seem. Join my Facebook group "Talk Out Loud" and let me know what topics you want me to discuss next.

This month is over! Now Let's talk about it. The Good, bad, and the tragic! What we're not going to do, is stay in that awful place mentally. Talking out loud is a great way to reflect on all the things and make a choice to change what we can. Cheers to a new month with new goals and a positive mindset. You got this ma'am!

Commonly asked questions we get when we tell people we're divorced. Why? Why did you stay? Why did you get married? Did you notice any red flags? I wish they were one word answers but it's truly a buildup of unresolved issues. Abuse, cheating, control and manipulation, you name it, and I still stayed. But everyone has their breaking point eventually and that is why I encourage women to talk out loud. Message me on Instagram if you have a topic you want me to discuss @the.mampodcast.

This week's guest is Life Coach Daphne Sims of BeYoutiful Chaos, and we are talking about holidays after divorce. Are we good or are there triggers? Do we want to keep it the same or change it up? We talk out loud about our experiences with certain holidays but also realize we are on the other side of the hurt and pain. Don't be afraid to change it up and celebrate yourself along the way. If you focus on your happiness first, your kids will be ok. It all starts with YOU.
